Snakes are able to retain some reflexes after their death, including biting and envenoming whatever is unfortunate enough to come near / stimulate the wrong nerves. And apparently, this can occur even hours after their death.

http://www.theguardian.com/world/video/2013/aug/15/decapitated-copperhead-snake-bites-itself-video

http://www.livescience.com/47626-severed-snake-head-can-still-bite.html

"Just because the animals has been decapitated, that doesn't mean the nerves have stopped functioning," Beaupré said. The bodies of snakes have been known to continue rising off the ground in a menacing pose, and even to strike out against a perceived threat, after they've suffered a beheading, he added.

These eerie postmortem movements are fueled by the ions, or electrically charged particles, which remain in the nerve cells of a snake for several house after it dies, Beaupré said. When the nerve of a newly dead snake is stimulated, the channels in the nerve will open up, allowing ions to pass through. This creates an electrical impulse that enables the muscle to carry out a reflexive action, like a bite.

"The bite and envenomation reflex is triggered by some kind of information that comes into the mouth cavity," Beaupré said. "My guess is that this guy put his hand in the snake's mouth after he cut it off. He probably put a finger in there or something and it triggered this response."

No one really knows when donuts were invented or who invented them.

Apples, potatoes, and onions all taste the same when eaten with your nose plugged.

Ketchup was originally a fish sauce originating in the orient

7-Up – invented in 1920 contained Lithium – the drug commonly prescribed now to sufferers of bi-polar disorder.

Shows the power of spin-doctoring and how facts are not always reliable.
This one is very good. I love these facts so much for absolute truth.
Meanwhile, there is such an animal as Scorpion Mouse. it is carnivorous, immune to venom and howls like a wolf to claim territory.
Luckily I don't plan to travel to Nope Township in Nowayinhell county, USA to run into it. Or wherever the hell it is.

Easy solution: stay the heck away from warm regions. That's where all that crazy crap is.
