Are you also surprised to learn the casino you kept playing since 2016 is not a licensed casino?
I have not experienced any hassle from them though.

Great job to OP. I'd like to see some for inforgraphics to some other companies built since the time BTC started.
Stats of exchanges or something like stats of fiat base casino that also started accepting crypto.

As we could notice, the gambling community is growing and improving each day. It simply means that blockchain technology has reached lots of milestones already which amazes us each day. The infographic is too impressive and Op seems to do a series of research to provide it. I believe that blockchain gambling could even reach more in the coming years.

Guys, .....do you still remember when SatoshiDice was sold for 126,315 BTC, around $11.5 million at the time. (Now valued at about $4 837 000 000 at a price of $38 280 per coin.)  Roll Eyes

They regarded that as one of the largest Bitcoin transactions back in the day, so that made some history too.  Wink  (Make you wonder how many of those coins are still owned by the original owners)  Grin

Thank you OP, for taking the time to gather all that data to create a nice Infographic like that.

This infographic is such a big help for those who will study the structure of Cryptocasinos it's easy to check the stat and the history if done in infographics, of all the industry in Cryptocurrency casinos are the fastest growing and it's one of the movers of Cryptocurrency adoption, it's nice to know that casinos with their own token are also growing we'll have more casino based token this year.

this is indeed great for those who want to learn about the use case of crypto in the gambling industry. where it all began, the pioneers and the long surviving casinos.

however, based from the excel list, are all those casinos still active today? the data shows the year they were launched but we don't know if they are still active in the gambling business. that's a long list but in this forum, we can only count the real active casinos.

Yes, all the casinos in the list are still active.

in the research, I've used only casinos that are operating at the moment (138 sites). You can find the Google Sheet table with all the active casinos (the link in the 1st post)

This is a great infographic! It really puts things into perspective.

I have a few questions, though. Did you only consider casinos that have an ANN topic on bitcointalk forum or did you use other data sources? How do you differentiate between crypto casinos and online casinos that accept crypto payments?

I considered a casino as a crypto one if they have only crypto payments, or they had only crypto payments first and then added fiat payment, or casinos that position themselves as crypto casinos (mention in in titles and allow use crypto as an account currency)

This Infographic is ten years in the making and we can safely and proudly say that the gambling industry is progressive and dynamic of all the industries under Cryptocurrency, where would we stand if there were no Crypto casinos, it made Cryptocurrency adoption easy, the gambling and gaming industry will soon be conquered by Cryptocurrency.
So in ten years, crypto gambling sites have been growing fast and now, we see many casinos uses crypto for gambling. Using crypto itself will give convenience to people as they do not have to verify their account with KYC and the good thing is the adoption process for people can run well.
yes in more than 10 years  there are so many things that happened in crypto gambling activities and businesses , tons of casino had been in active and also there are tons of scams happened , but still crypto gambling is here and increasing day by day.

Quote
With many trends that will happen to the crypto, it will trigger more casinos, especially new casinos, to involve deeper and invite more people to try the new experience from the casino.
it has been the business now mate, look how active each casino site luring players and gamblers to trust their sites.

That's a pretty cool infographic.
The important data I want to know about is the actual number of active gamblers on all these crypto casinos.
Unfortunately,no crypto casino would give accurate data about the real number of active gamblers on the platform. They would most likely come up with fake and inflated numbers of active players.
The fact that 49% of the crypto casinos don't have a gambling license is also a big red flag.
Another interested info would the total amount of cryptocurrencies spent on cryptocurrency gambling during the years.I'm sure that it's impossible to reveal the real amount, but knowing about how big the crypto gambling industry actually is would have been great.

Certain industries had been already conquered even though it is on a gradual phase manner but its good to look at that it is progressive which simply means that theres a demand
and recognition which is really great to look at.For sure it wont be only gaming and gambling industry would be touched out but also in other industries as well.
Although several applications might not really that needed or relevant but lets see on what the future holds like.

We all know that one of the first use cases of crypto is in the gambling industry. And now, it evolves and encompasses a lot in the market. To be honest, two of the oldest websites that I learned about how to use crypto are freebitco and primedice, and they happen to be gambling sites.  Grin Gambling is indeed an important part in the bitcoin adoption. And up until today, they are still conquering the market. Remember, during lockdown years (2020 & 2021), that's when online crypto casinos boomed their presence. As many people were stuck at their homes, gambling business was one of the businesses that survive and now they are expanding to metaverse realm.

Nice and interesting stats about crypto casinos! Excellent work, I like how it all looks, I always like to read fun stats and facts! I guess all these stats show how crypto gambling is still at the beginning, 2020 over 100 active crypto casinos, and just 3% of online casinos position themselves as crypto casinos... I bet that number will be doubled in the next 5 years, or maybe it can happen faster?!
^ In 5 years, I believed that it will belong in the infographic of the metaverse games.
Yes, the stats are very interesting and there is some information that I did not know just like the first user who used a provably fair algorithm here in the forum. In the improvement on this thread, I will expect that there are VR games that will be included.
However, I appreciate OPs work.

We have discovered through this Infographic that there is an ongoing online casino revolution in Cryptocurrency the Crypto casino based industry is growing fast and new innovation is being introduced every year, one noticeable growth are casinos with their own token that their players can collect and participate in their profit sharing, soon they will beat the fiat-based casinos, this infographic is a such a big help.
This so called infographic have simplified things the way they shared because text and image are now combined at once but even without this representation of the OP I think many of us already that there is a change in crypto gambling. We will notice it by our selves if we are constantly playing in crypto based casinos.

There are casinos that has their own tokens and offers features that different from a standard crypto casino but the number of them is not big enough but even if they will be the future of crypto gambling, I still don't believe that they will beat the fiat based casino. It is like your saying that crypto will overcome fiat but that also didn't happen.

So that means, only 3% of crypto casinos as considered by them has valid license? That's pretty low IMO considering the number of active casinos is only +100.

Anyway, good stuff though. While there are already lots of them, as you can see those ANN threads on this section, you can see that what really shine are those who have unique look, games and not so complicated terms i.e. kyc related. Let see how much more casino will pop in the next few months.
KYC is highly frowned upon which it isnt surprising for a community which do really much prefer on dealing with sites or platforms which doesnt ask KYC.

If they arent unlicensed but doesnt mean that they arent capable on giving out good service in the community but of course there would be still those possible risk ahead.
If you do mind off on dealing with licensed ones then its your choice but its not totally an issue honestly.

Wow I didn't expect Doge to be under 50%. I thought it would be the same or slightly higher than LTC usage because of the cheap transaction fees and increased popularity throughout the years. Maybe centralized casinos find it harder to set up their wallet. XRP at 28% was a surprise as well.
I totally agree with you, while going through the info graphics, I thought I was the only one who noticed  Grin, good to know you noticed as well.
I expected dogecoin to the next after Ethereum maybe, but I am totally surprised that even (dead) bitcoin cash that no one talks about today, is more accepted than dogecoin, but I don't think it's issue with the wallet set up, because if other casinos have successfully implemented the dogecoin wallet, I believe the code should be easy for other casinos to copy, but anyways, that's there cup of tea.
And again, I expected ripple(xrp) to be far or a little below where it is hut all good.
I personally don't know how accurate this stats are or is but I must say kudos to op for such an informative post.

Excellent work! Infographics is a great way to spread information across the board. I have one additional request for you.

As yoi have mentioned that 51% of crypto casinos have valid gambling license, I want to see a full list of those casinos. Is that something can be done by you? Just a simple table would do.

Even though gambling license doesn't matter a lot into crypto gambling field,  but it's definitely an additional parameter that generates trust! So looking forward to hear from you.

Mahdirakib has compiled a list of all casinos that have gambling licenses in this topic:
