If the 3K merit Milestone counts as a "rank" then I'm almost there. After ranking up to Legendary, there's nothing else left to be exited about except for rounding up the merit count.

I'm sending 7 merits to round off 3k also for your new record so it can be a record kept in this thread "Save your nice merit records here" I will do it  Cheesy
The Legendary rank remains at its highest and people will be around you to keep accumulating merit.

Yes, if you have 3000 merit, you will be equal to three legendary members.  You need only 8 more merits to complete 3000 merits.
Merit Countdown is not needed for wise members like you but it is only a matter of time to complete 3000 merits.

TheBeardedBaby 2993 merits

If 3000 merits then

TheBeardedBaby = 3×1000=3 × legendary

Just for fun!!!

But I don't know, if you feel sorry for him you can send him a little merit, we also can't make a problem of that because the forum don't directly moderate the merit system.
While the merit system is not directly moderated, you should consider spending your sMerit on posts that are truly worthy. This means you shouldn't spend your merit on useless posts that are likely to be questioned. That's how the merit system works, but if you get good quality posts from anyone then you can do it any time.

Basically the merit system was introduced to encourage higher quality, so if you find a quality post, you can get it regardless of the rank. So there's no reason to care to some one without good quality posts, that way you'll avoid abusing the system.
Of course spending sMerit on useless posts will raise suspicion, possibly damaging the account reputation. Generous people will not spend their sMerit carelessly, they are more selective in choosing posts that are really worth helping and as an appreciation for contributions to the forum.

I've done it here before, spending Merit on quality posts while helping them get closer to a new rank. My success in being promoted to Sr member rank some time ago thanks to the help of generous people, it is very appropriate for me to help other users like they did to me.

I have followed the discussion on the matter and had to dive in to check his/her post history and if any of us did our due diligence of checking post quality of anyone out there ...the user wouldn't get a single merit with those one-two liners all posted in the altcoin threads  Roll Eyes and sorry to say but the pattern seems to suggest an account being farmed with no regard on quality because as a Hero he should know better the emphasis that has been on quality posting & fighting spam hence the introduction of the merit system!
Somehow that user has caught the attention of a few people for discussion, but I hope he manages to get something useful out of some of the comments and advice.

I think he can still change his habit patterns for the better. I'm sure most people here including me were terrible posters before until I turned that bad habit into something useful, and the users we're talking about can use it as a springboard to gain knowledge and motivation towards change. I'm not to defend it, but as a fellow local Indonesian user, it's only natural that I support it in making changes.

no logs of changing passwords or emails. it shows most likely the account owner is still the same person. but seeing suddenly he made a post in this thread, to be honest, I'd rather believe he's been active with the alt account he has. instead of getting recommendations from friends in the community or on local boards regarding this countdown thread.
Right, and I forgot to tell that I checked before you respons my post. I'm not saying the account has changed hands, but what you're saying is also just a possibility. I don't know, I don't want to speculate further, but maybe he's trying to take advantage of this thread and the generosity of others to gain some merit.

After looking at his posting history, something that prompted him to post on the Reputation Board was Merit.
Tell him it's not the best way to get merit and someone should be able to guide him that the system doesn't work that way. I don't want to judge too much.

Agreed! Merit comes your way when some work has been put into it, but with that post quality he simply has to give a little extra to earn those little golden nuggets Cool

why pity him? while the alt account a few months ago also woke up after 2 years of sleeping.
2 Accounts Connected:

ahyadinnn, rudin123 .

maybe his other account alt will also post a countdown in this thread.
I mean, if he looks like a beggar. why not just ignore it? that is enough. he will also just be a shitpost on boards he likes. and it's not going to make it grow.

Snip.
looks unique indeed. but he doesn't break the rules of this thread. OP already listed some rules. and the account does not violate anything.
if don't like it, we can ignore it. if indeed he managed to obtain Merit, it was his luck.

unfortunately, This thread is not self-moderated. or maybe OP can add some rules.
We are not discussing whether he broke the rules or not, everyone knows what is being done here is like begging. Rudin123 countdown was the first post on the reputation board and he did it just waking up from a long sleep. But I don't know, if you feel sorry for him you can send him a little merit, we also can't make a problem of that because the forum don't directly moderate the merit system.

Even if you don't want me to thank you, but I have to because you helped me. I realize that the quality of my posts may not be better than other great users, but I do so sincerely based on my knowledge and abilities so far. I was lucky to get quite a lot of help from users like you and other users, and now I will continue to strive to reach the number that has been set as a condition to rank up to Hero.

I am very optimistic that I can go there next year, sooner or later I will go there like many other users have done. Now my countdown to Hero rank is 81 merit, and I will try my best to do my best while contributing to other users. Thanks.

Hey, @rudin123, count me in to achieve Hero Member too haha lol.

Meanwhile, I congratulate @salad daging for his new rank. And not forget too for others who achieve their new rank.

You will also achieve the hero member rank in time, though you are still a long way away from it. You've been in the forum for a while now, as evidenced by your activity, but you're not very active in posting here. Increase your posting level and frequently contributing to the forum will make moving from one rank to another appear simple and a dream come true for you.

That's the unique thing I see here. Judging from the posting history, this account is indeed from a local Indonesian who has been silent for a long time. Then if I see from bpip.org, 10/1/2022 11:39:15 PM is the work up time. Since he was last active, he has just made 2 posts and one of them is a countdown post to the next rank.

We're not saying he's wrong on this topic either. According to the rules set by the OP, absolutely nothing has been violated, that's why I mentioned in @_BlackStar post that it is unique. It's been a long time of inactivity and when he woke up he went straight to this topic so I think it's normal for someone to suspect "maybe a relative has whispered to him to visit this thread, who knows luck".

By the way, he is from Indonesia based on his posting history. Perhaps his community or friends had guided him here.

What rudin123 does is like begging for Merit from other users, he wants to immediately get at least 5 merits as an initial requirement to participate in the paid BTC signature campaign. Obviously, the way rudin123 is doing is not a good example, he wants to get something of value without any effort.
Interesting to know how someone who hasn't been active on forum for a long time period suddenly got the boon to post on reputation board for countdown to the next rank. I don't want to take speculate of it, but something have pushed users like him to post in this thread and maybe because of signature campaign. And amazingly, it was his first post on the reputation board since register in forum at 2017.

By the way, he is from Indonesia based on his posting history. Perhaps his community or friends had guided him here.

After looking at his posting history, something that prompted him to post on the Reputation Board was Merit. His main goal was stopping here counting down to the next rank hoping for the mercy of others by giving him Merit, or as Pandu Geddon said maybe he would use an Alt account to achieve his wish.

or there will be people who care about you and give you some Merit. or maybe your alt account will share Merit to be able to participate in the BTC signature campaign?

Since he registered on the Forum, not a single Merit has been obtained from his own efforts, 250 of which are the result of an Airdrop that was given free of charge by Theymos. I've also looked at his post history, almost all of the posts he made were just to chase weekly targets to get paid.
After the Bounty was no longer producing, he tried to find Merit here to be able to participate in the BTC Campaign.
