The reason why bitcoin is a success now is because of it's active users, there is a good amount of circulation online and that demand makes the price increase. As long as we will continue to support bitcoin there is no way it will fall but it will continue it's success which will eventually benefit the investors especially those who have invested in early stage since they are the one who will get bigger profits.

But since nobody can't predict what will happen in the near future, I think the best we can do now lets continue to enjoy and patronize the usage of bitcoin then save some few of it for the future.

as bitcoin is the new emerging currency therefore it is expected that bitcoin will become more and more popular and that is the reason that it will be very good if we hold bitcoin for the future as in future it is expected that the price of bitcoin will increase too much and therefore it is important to hold a good amount of bitcoin for the future and get a good profit from it.

this is true, we can't really tell what can happen , as long as bitcoin performing good and having better transactions,bitcoin will keep growing and with lots of features bitcoin will be use by many with more investments in terms of bitcoin. Bitcoin is already successful but it can always be more in demand than it is now.

You were saying that we don't need mass adoption but you just said how mass adoption will happen. I don't think nerds have a bad impression of bitcoins. In fact, they might have a really good impression of it and they might be using it right now.

Nerds (not hipsters) are called nerds because they love to study. If they stumbled upon the idea of bitcoin, they would've done their research and it's some nerdy research not just some quick google search. They'd know that all the illegal stuffs happening in the dark net associated with bitcoins are for real but it doesn't affect the bitcoin economy that much. People will use bitcoins if they want to. Those that use bitcoin's reputation to avoid using bitcoins are just looking for some lame reason to avoid exerting effort on learning what bitcoin is.

but you can see the adoption of bitcoin so far, and also the enthusiasm and interest that people show in bitcoin and merchants who show in bitcoin and then make a prediction about the future.

As it is decentralized it is truly hard to predict or make assumptions of the future. In future at least few countries would accept bitcoin officially as the secondary currency to their traditional currency. As of now developed countries as well developing countries are competing to make their fintech hubs for further development within the country. So can expect a brighter future along with bitcoin.

At this point we can be rather sure that there won't be mass adoption as many of us are imagining it:

- bitcoin used as direct payment method, without payment processors like BitPay
- everyone in the world using bitcoin in a p2p environment, without 3rd party companies
- no need to exchange your BTC to fiat in case you want to buy anything

It is just not gonna happen. Why because bitcoin is unfitted to fulfill global payment processor/currency role (at least at this moment).

Why? Just these 3 factors:

- confirmation times, in theory 10 min, in reality much much longer
- ridiculously high fees
- limit 7 tx/sec
