Up, my bet. the use of crypto money is inevitable. bitcoin is the most valuable crypto money and a much loved investment tool. Loss of bitcoin means losing value of all cryptocurrency. and I do not think that this popularity will be lost

Don't hate on Futures - first of all, I doubt that bitcoin listing will have the power to significantly affect price, not now at least.
Bitcoin is volatile as it is, secondly if BTC cannot hold its ground vs. something so trivial - then it deserves to fall, really.
I think that every new way to spread Bitcoin popularity, broader base of potential investors is a good chance for community.

There are several factors that impact the price of bitcoin, but if the BTC intends to be an investment fit for institutional investors, it will have to undergo several tests, such as futures

The futures are not affecting it, i think that you are blind.
The manipulation of the price was not  coming from the futures, it was because of a group that wanted to manipulate it.

I must say I agree with you. Of course that those who bought futures, could have bought BTC as well. Let's not forget that the price went up a lot, just when futures were launched, and then got really low when the first futures contract ended. No one knows if it's related or not, but it is a possibility.

I don't think futures is a bad thing though, because it will eventually open road for ETFs, and that will be a completely different story, since it's something that would rally increase bitcoin price if it's ever launched.

Of course that in the end, nothing of this should matter. We want to use bitcoin and not trade it, so what I really want to see, are solutions with the lightning network, so that we can use bitcoin as a payment method. If we get real adoption, manipulation will disappear because it won't be profitable anymore.
Yes I agree on that, futures of bitcoin is depending on the people around that use and believe on it. If there are so many people that believe on it I believe that there are also many investors that invest on it because it is really amazing, the future will not destroy bitcoin in fact the future will make it more strong because it's economy grows day by day

I bet the twins regret getting Bitcoin listed on the CME.
Bitcoin Futures will keep the price LOW!
In futures no one buys bitcoin!
It just a bet: up or down

There's more possibility that many people are taking advantage to BUY Bitcoin when the price is LOW, that's  opposite of what you are thinking bro. Anyway let us just comparing what other people say about this, but I'm sure they also believe that low price is more chances of getting profit after several years of waiting to trade their stock.

I think that's unlikely to happen, since the demand for bitcoin is increasing, and it's becoming increasingly popular, so I'm sure bitcoin will not die and I think bitcoin will continue to grow in the future hybrid.

The fact still remains, Bitcoin won't just "die".. It'll be here for a long, long time. But this doesn't change the fact that the launch of Bitcoin futures was a really bad idea. I recently came across an article that talked about how the price of bitcoin is continously suppressed by futures.

bitcoin is still a very complex system for investment. I think that it will be much easier with time and such questions will cease to arise
Bitcoin is becoming more easier and accessible to use with each passing day. This is because It's actively developed and there are more solutions being built to make it more user friendly. But these things take time.

It wont die, it is a necessarily technology of the modern digital world, and without it we would return to the stone age, so no point to use old bank system, the future is already here, and noffing will stop it

I'm also a believer and think we are going to keep going up. Bitcoin is still in the early phase and will need at least 2 years to show its potential. If by 2020 we won't reach 20000 dollars again you can start worrying. Some of you may think that you're not early adopters but you are. You're that 0.1% of the population that knew about it before it went mainstream.

I think all future bitcoin will hold up well, at least I would like to believe, because bitcoin after the sharp drop, the same can not be restored, or you can, but you can never know.

if the popularity of the bitcoin will go down i think the price will go down too, and we can see from other factor like the rival of bitcoin, if the rival of bitcoin is created that has the more advantages than bitcoin i think the bitcoin demand will go down and people who using bitcoin will changes into another platform

Are you blind?

In the last few years plenty of altcoins popped up doing things Bitcoin didn't do, which people kept hyping about, but Bitcoin didn't give a fuck. It's not about how many more features you can have over Bitcoin as altcoin, but what features you can offer that actually enjoy real world usage. Thus far the only altcoins managed doing that are Ethereum with their ICO craze and Monero offering privacy features.

Bitcoin's main features are very basic and simple, which means that altcoins have to come up with other (in demand) features to differentiate themselves. Also, altcoins form a testbase for Bitcoin. If at some point an altcoin comes up with something innovative and in demand enough, it can be implemented in Bitcoin or run on top of it as second layer. LN is the perfect example. Wink

For me if the upcoming users will noy be seriuos about posting in bitcoin I bet they are the one who will destroy and make bitcoin useless but if the upcoming users will give respect and support the bitcoin then they are the users that will give bitcoin more popular, trust and believes.

How much did you invest to blame bitcoin and say that future destroyed bitcoin? I guess you won't too ready to embrace the reality that life is not always in one side life is full of color. Don't plan and think in just a single view most specially if you enter to invest. By acting to invest meaning you disabled your fear and some negativity but still you should bear in mind everything are not sure until it ends. At the end you can convince yourself that you won or you loose. Anyway there is no such perfect life in this world. Take your time to recover and try and try again maybe you will hit the core of big profit in the second time.

it's unlikely that bitcoin will get stronger in the future as time goes by the number of investors continues to grow and many countries accept and legalize bitcoin

Well the future BItcoin will hold its price at its low level which is a good thing, for users to buy them on the market. But, To have no value at all is very disagreeable, even if bitcoin loses its value as the top coin in the market, it still have its own value not that high but still making its way through the market. HAving the top seat as the major coin and as reference to others makes it really questionable whether BTC will be dead in the future

In my opinion, now the reputation of bitcoin is a bit spoiled. After the fall, bitcoin does not recover, and many bought it for 20,000 and lost a lot of money. Personally, I believe in the biton. But I really want to see good growth.

It has already been reported in various articles that futures has destroyed bitcoin prices. This is one of the things that needs to be improved before mainstream adoption i.e. the volatility so we don't have those major swings any more.
