New site is up!

fzcoin.cc

trenton please update the main post.
On the site it mentions 1% inflation.
Has that been decided upon?
What is the reasoning behind this?
Why would people consider this a good thing?

Not yet, still needs to be voted on by the community. I've started a thread on the Fz forums: http://www.frozentalk.org/showthread.php?tid=24

@Mighty: he already admitted to it because somebody was threatening to post his info. As far as he's letting on, he's refunded the victims.

At this point, I think it's safe to say that Frozen has already moved on from all that bull crap the original person tried to pull and moving on to much more interesting and positive things Grin

@TheFourthSaint: loving to see the site up and running, excellent job by everyone involved!

I find all of this deathly interesting.
I helped the original "dev" (if that is what we can call him) with his website problems. I was given full access to the cPanel and recreated the forum site and did some minor database work. I actually still have a copy of the original database (not that it contains anything). I found it odd at the time how a self-professed programmer could have little or no php experience at all. In fact I find it hard to believe any programmer would admit to not knowing php or being able to pick it up very quickly. I spoke with him many times over the message system and came to some conclusions about him and Fz in general. I left myself as an admin on the forums but quickly lost interest when I realized that he had neither the experience nor the knowledge to move Fz forward.

I would like to issue a word of caution. Trenton it might be wise to echo this sentiment so as not to garnish any negative publicity for the Fz community:

All though he may have committed fraud (and it seems likely), posting identifiable information on the public internet is also highly illegal and might introduce the possibility of having his or any case against him thrown out in court. You can't break the law to uphold the law. Especially if in fact he is a minor. If you have certain information, you need to bring it to the authorities or to your respective lawyers, not publicly brandish it on some forums like a child.

You're welcome! It is probably just as you assume: the client is walking through a number of inactive or non-working nodes, and with a bit of bad luck you wait quite a while...

Many greetings

Just got it working. Not sure what the hell took it so long but I guess getting through all the nodes took forever. Thanks Trenton.

No block source available

I have tried both Frozen.conf and frozen.conf with the following settings

rpcuser=name
rpcpassword=pass

1. Please stop your client
2. Please remove the file "peers.dat"
3. If you are only running frozen-qt the frozen.conf is not necessary: please delete frozen.conf
4. If you are running frozend please remove all addnode= entries from your frozen.conf
5. Make sure you are using the latest release v1.1.0.7

Please let me know if it helps and don't hesitate for further questions Smiley

Many greetings

The fact that the price nearly tripled from below 3k satoshis ever since the community takeover is remarkable! Smiley

By the way, excellent job thus far Trenton. Keep it up, man!

I like community takeovers, means that more than one cares about the project. (and much more)
I think we will add another stratum-pool.
Hey Bansheroom,

that would be great! Please drop me a note if you do, so I can update the initial posting.

Since the vanitygen for paperwallets went down along with the forum (or so it seems) and i needed it, i have uploaded the vanity gen too http://vanity.kvvs.nl until the old one is back up again.
Hey KoningKaas,

you may have noticed already, I added the backup in the info thread.

Thanks! and many greetings

We've asked BE to stop associating with Frozen altogether. We do not condone what he did and wish for him to stay away from the CC community.
