I don't think it is a good idea and I feel a simple CAPTCHA which I suggested earlier should solve this issue.

So are you saying everypost should undergo captcha?? I mean that will be way to much if that's what you mean, it's like adding extra stress to every posting unless if it's restricted only to newbie and brand new account besides if its a human behind the posting he should still be able to get through it though it might feel a little bit of frustration to post...

How can this be a good suggestion as if you stop a Newbie or a Brand new account from posting link then most new casinos or other projects will not be able to post thier ANN
There could be a whitelisting process too  I mean other account can post links because it's trusted so they could just message mods for whitelisting ... the accounts posting all this links are mostly newbies and brandnew account so preventing/reviewing posts with links if not whitelisted seem okay imo..

Sounds like a good idea (and def. couldn't hurt), but I feel like they would just bypass it by making it regular text (drive.google.com/whatever) or by adding a spaces. Not sure Theymos will want to make a bbcode parser/extension that fancy.
As long as they are not posting clickable links this would solve most of the issues, because people these days are to lazy to copy/paste and correct links.
I don't think my proposed solution would be to harsh for genuine new members, and member PowerGlove could create another quick SMF patch for this (if needed) Wink

Another simple solution proposition would be to not allow brand new accounts to post links
I think this should be perfect fit.. any form of link input from a newbie or brand new account should be ommitted or placed under review. Maybe newbie or brandnew account post involving url/link could  be placed under review before allowing such post on their designated board (don't know if this is possible though).

Another option is that if the admin here can impose a posting fee like he has done for most countries, in this case. I doubt these bots which I don't think are new accounts can create a new account as the scammer creating these bot will not be eager to pay more fees to setup his account.

I agree with you here as the admin is now least bothered in doing in any changes. Yet, I insist he does some changes to overcome such issues in the future. As I belive Bitcointalk is a gospel of Bitcoin with its vast history which are still being quoted on numerous social media platforms.

Another simple solution proposition would be to not allow brand new accounts to post links, with making them unclickable.
For example by adding space:
Code:
https ://drive...

My question is can we automatically get these kind of posts word-filtered before they are posted. Maybe anything new that has "G2A" in the title since I have seen almost no legitimate thread with G2A in the title.
This would work but only temporary.
Scammers would constantly rename g2a to something else, so it would not be really effective.
I don't think anyone is clicking on those links, and reporting to moderators is usually working fine.

That is not working, as I conclude, given the level of spam, and there are tricks to overcome such captcha. A simple Google search on how to avoid Google captcha will give you an answer.
I feel that rather than relying on a third party to help overcome the spam a simple captcha developed by someone in-house will be more beneficial and can give a satisfactory result.
If people want to spam they will always find ways to making it , even there is the best captcha version on the market it would just take some days if somebody find a way to avoid it.
Specially when the spam is and wanted to done from Hackers or other shady peoples that try to spread there Malware shit Links.
Glad we have already a lot of Users here that keeping there eyes open and aware about that.

This new accounts sharing making these posts and sharing this links are just very annoying. But I think the moderators are on top of their game because it looks like as soon as they make the post, it gets locked. So that's one way to prevent and frustrate their efforts.
It been locked is why it's dangerous.
Nobody to comment that it's a malware or scam
Except it would be possible to prevent Newbies from locking a thread but the work isn't worth it.

I personally never click a link except it has been clicked and commented on by others
And I doubt if I have ever clicked a drive link in the forum
It doesn't hurt been cautious.

There are multiple bots that are being used to create the spam topic in question, this my understanding. I feel it would be a good idea if a patch can be developed which ask the user a simple verification like addition or subtraction before any user is able to post a topic. That will resolve this issue which we are facing now.

About the verification before a topic is posted a simple verification asking to give an answer on what 20+2= or 20-2= will be. I am saying create the most simple verification patch or integrate a verification procedure in order to reduce such a shit spamming.
I doubt I would love to see that implemented
Personally don't like solving or answering Captcha
They are chores.
It would be hell in a situation where your network is unstable.

You do realize we already have a Javascript based captcha on sign-up and login, right?

They are the worst. If you see something that isn't automatically removed, please report it (and/or DM me and I can add it to the bot). They keep changing their shit, but at least they use it for a while so the bot will work for a bit.

EDIT: Added the current shit to the bot.

The scammers themselves lock the post from the settings before it is published to prevent anyone from commenting that it's a scam, not the moderators.
Damn. I didn't know that was possible. Been thinking that it was the moderators all along.

This was confirmed by @Mitchell.

We don't actually lock the topic, the spammer does that themselves. They want you to read their method and install an userscript that will steal your data.

I've added some of their stuff to the anti-spam bot, so it should be better for a while. Please report the posts if you see them again.

it's still popping up.. they are constantly spamming/scamming the forum.

They are all some kind of bitcoin clipboard malware.

I am constantly reporting these posts but they keep coming back.
All we can do is just keep reporting them. They eventually give up. I remember the notorious promotional code casino bonus scam and spam. The people behind it seemed like they would never give up, but they don't even try any more today.

My question is can we automatically get these kind of posts word-filtered before they are posted. Maybe anything new that has "G2A" in the title since I have seen almost no legitimate thread with G2A in the title. IMO if we can do something like that to mixers, then I think this filtering is reasonable.
If I recall well, one of the members here has a bot that fight such kind of repeated spam. Not sure how he does it but let me mention him @Mitchell

You have a quite nice suggestion however the likelihood of the forum administrators implementing it is quite thin if you ask me. these kind on scam shit posts happen to come up at intervals on the forum and I actually can't really tell if it is the same person running it or not of course there are sometimes a couple of repeated ones that actually show that is same person running it.

Anyways I think the best solution we have is to continue reporting them anytime scam posts of that nature come up so moderators will notice them easily and consequently delete them. I think the likelihood of someone falling for those schemes is as a result of greed.

The topics are locked because the scammers or hackers know that some people will reply to the post fast to reveal their bad intention. So they decided to lock it by themselves and think probably someone can be deceived with the bad intentions. What moderators do is that they delete the post. Moderators are trying by deleting it fast.
