As a responsible gambler it gladdens my heart always whenever I hear a fellow gambler testify of how he won a bulky amount of money from be it a bet or lotto and uses that money to inject into something meaningful for himself.

It all happened on my way home just this evening. I boarded a public bus and just in front of me were seated two young men too in their late thirty's having a conversation and from the conversation it sound like they haven't met for a long time and one was telling the other of how he had won a big amount of money from a lotto he played and he has used the money to get himself a new bus for public transportation business.

According to him, he once had a bus before which he was using for the transport business (carrying of passengers) but was seized and confiscated by the authority for he used it in conveying contraband goods of which he was hired to carry to some location by the goods owner on the way law enforcement agents stop them did a search and that was how he lost that vehicle.

So winning that money he quickly went ahead to get a new bus to continue his public transport business. From his voice he seems like one whose lost hope has been restored by that single win. Gambling can be a life saver too for it's not as bad as non-gamblers portrays it. To all gamblers' when you get lucky make good use of your gambling win do not chase for double portion.

The people that gamble with the intention to turn their life around are taking a risk they do not understand, if they get their way and they win a big enough amount, they will get out of the financial issues they were facing and this will allow them to stabilize their situation until they get a source of income, but if they were to lose, which is the most likely outcome, they will make things many times worse and it could take them months if not years to recover from that mistake.

Many gamblers could have make use of gambling wisely when they win some money, but majority of them want to keep winning, you can gamble for months with no good luck and once you win there should be no need to tell you that you need to use the money for something upbringing in your life.

There are many stories of people turning their lives around immediately after they won some money from gambling, it's because they are reasonable people, they think about their lives in the most positive ways, they believe that gambling is by chance, and the luck won't always be there.

Sadly, many people would rather try to rely on gambling, like it's their main source of income, or waste the money on things that won't do any good to their lives, there are more numbers of gamblers that reason this way than those that use gambling money for business or investment.

Gambling can indeed give hope to people who are desperate or have lost hope if they are lucky enough to win a large amount of gambling so that they can change their hopeless life, but if they are not lucky then their fate will also be even more unlucky because gambling is not the only hope for them someone who has a forward mindset, because gambling is just a game based on luck. If you are poor and hope that gambling can change your life to make you rich then that is a big mistake.

Someone who can get this luck must make good use of their luck by investing their money so that the money is not wasted, and it is true that they gamble responsibly, of course they can manage their gambling well and know how to manage their finances so that the winnings they get can be useful and profitable generate profits for us. Don't use gambling winnings for things that are not useful because one day you will regret it if you don't use the winnings as best as possible.

I had read and shared my opinion on that thread. It was definitely an irresponsible behavior and the man probably had felt that gambling could restore whatever hopes he had and that’s why he left the kids unattended to and left to the casino.
In this scenario, gambling didn’t turn out to be a hope restorer for him, his lack of control has even dashed his hopes as he’s likely to face some consequences for his irresponsible actions.

When you wholly depend on gambling to earn money, you’re more likely slide into addiction, then lose not just the money you’ve got left but genuine friends who can’t keep up with your lifestyle anymore.

I agree with you hundred percent that gambling can restore people's hope in life.So many persons have given a testimony of how they won games they have given them hope in life and turned their life around.People who were nothing turn into something because of gambling, cases like that are happening so I cannot even doubt the fact that gamble can make someone wealthy in a second.It is true that this happens,but it doesn't happen every time,and only those who are really lucky get this opportunity once in their lifetime.So when this kind of opportunity comes,it is good to invest it into something that will fetch more money,so you won't go back being broke.

This is the act of an incredibly irresponsible man who has already completely lost his face as a strong personality. He betrayed the most precious thing - the trust of his children, and didn't matter even if he got a huge win. The cost of such an absence could be very high.

If a gambler has managed not only to win a large sum, but also to invest this money in something that brings him income, then such a person can be called not only lucky, but also quite a forward-thinking person. Personally, I respect such people and sincerely glad that someone is able to change that in life thanks to gambling. But do not forget that any big winnings consist of money that lose other gamblers. Honestly these fairytale stories that constantly seem to pop up on the forum are a bit ridiculous and barely comprehensible or logical half the time. You know contraband usually refers to illicit goods, right? As in he was breaking the law and that's why he got a vehicle seized, so is hardly in need of sympathy. How does he jump from running a public transportation business, which would suggest he is carrying passengers, and end up transporting goods instead? How long before he tries to take another shortcut because of greed? It sounds like an incredibly wasteful way to operate. However it sounds completely dreamed up anyway, not least because most gamblers stick their money back in the game rather than getting substantially lucky and cashing out.

I don't know where the error lies in the way they use their winnings. Building a business no matter what it is is certainly a good choice, but to be successful with their business they need to manage and maintain it well. You are never guaranteed to be successful from having a business, even if you try several times with different ideas.
