You said it already, they are aware of the risks they are taking, that means they can take the risk.

It is true that gamblers usually don't care about the losses they have, about the time they are wasting in a gambling site or a casino, but I don't think that is a problem if you can afford to gamble. Addiction is still probable to happen but as you said, they know the risks and that means they are aware of what they can lose or what might happen to them so let them be.

Gambling isnt making people poorer, people waste money on all kinds of activity that gives no profit. The big mistake is poor money management and spending money you cannot do without. To gamble what you cannot lose is to fail understanding of the chance nature to all entries.

Poor education and maths is not a reason to ban anything, the positive action every country could take is to give all of the population the knowledge of probability theory and statistics analysis. These studies go back hundreds of years in origin and have said the loss of many gambles not just in games but across all commerce and industry.

The worst thing is most gamblers are poor and they aim to be rich but what they get? they become poorer.
It's the mentality that has to be change, otherwise, gambling will not be fun anymore, this is also one of the reasons why gambling is ban in some countries, especially in poor countries.

You're correct, today gambling is seen as a source of income and a means to an end which is wrong, it will make the gambler to put far too much money into it, just so they could earn big and make a living in the process.
That's the wrong way to take gambling, it should just be used to test predicting skills and the returns should be seen as a reward for that, when one sees gambling as a fun activity, only then can they cool their nerves and think well before playing.

For the most part those people are lazy, they just want to make money without any effort, and while there are some professional gamblers out there their numbers are very limited and are focused on games like poker where you are not playing directly against the house but against other players, many dream of a life like that where you only need to play a game to make your money but even among professional poker players only a selected few make enough money to justify dropping their jobs and dedicate themselves exclusively to poker.

Yes gambling is for fun, this is what some people think, as well as myself, but some people are not. Some people sees it as a way of living most especially those people who are lucky enough to win everytime and those people who have strong emotions under stress and pressure after a loss. These people do not consider gambling fun not until they won.

Many people have actually started to depend on this gambling or say want to make money from gambling rather than having a great time and enjoying the game along with buddies or families. Instead they want to make some quick money and might lose a lot as well if not controlled at right time.

Yes, it may be for entertainment, but under certain circumstances we can also see gambling as a gain area. Yes, mathematically it may seem that the home always wins, but if we proceed from here, every living creature will eventually experience death, so we can think of why this is the endeavor. They indeed are seeing opportunities but the reality of a professional gamblers is thay most of them are also broke because in this business money flows faster. You can win the money overnight but you can also lose the money overnight.

People are missunderstanding the fact that every night is not good for every professional gamblers most of them loses as well because they also became more greedy. Or it is just a badluck for them. Gambling professionally takes a lot of guts.

Gambling should not be taken as a profession, it is a mode of entertainment and even though some people call themselves as professional gamblers their credibility about "gambling" is often misleading. They are mostly living off affiliate marketing from casinos and are like paid promoters of casinos and their games. If someone gambled for a living then they would not be living at all.

This is how gambling work, some gamblers win while the others also losing. It is quite acceptable that there is more losing than winning in a certain thing that not all of us are lucky that day. It somebody couldn't claim and even legendary gambler won't experience losses cause they are also human and not robots who still be in the wrong decision.
