But on a more rational point of view, how can gambling stop when governments worldwide allow such by decentralizing it through its power to enter into businesses with private corporations on the basis of its proprietary functions? In short, governments earn from it. They easily roll money through it because billions and billions of people gamble on the pretext of improving their economic status. Imagine how lucrative gambling is for all governments, respectively -- when only a few win while billions of people bet onto it. Hence, they would obviously opt to regulate gambling rather than ban the same.

Gambling already existed long time ago and I don’t see it edning like wat you said its a recreational activity the only way to prevent people from getting addicted to gambling is not letting them start playing because the moment you will taste the feeling of winning you will then want to have it more.

There is not even a single reason or justification that can prove gambling effective for making money or depicts gambling as something helping people in becoming stable in the financial lives. Every single thing points out it to be banned all over the world.

I am not sure why people are involved in this game or like what exactly is their mentality for playing it. Gambling always ruins you financially and puts you in debts.

Maybe not all are greed of money, there are still people that are giving more priority of caring relationship than money. In the world today that are money driven its true that most people are working just for money because they have a family for whom they care. Speaking about gambling I think its already a normal way of entertainment and yes it involves money and i don't think so it will end.

Whenever we are making some mistake or doing sin, there is a sound coming from within us asking for leave that sin, don’t do this, o brother you are doing wrong, don’t do this. I guess not. Gambling always was and always will be. I dare to say it's one of the human innate properties (combination of greed and fun) ... the diference is some can controll it but some can't. It's pretty good adrenalin/fun and I have nothing agains people who can afford it but borrowing money just to gamble them is really bad approach (as you said it's kind of illness/drug and serious cases should definitely be treated).
My personal opinion is such people are not very smart (or well educated) thus we can't expect them to fully consider the consequences (they realize it when it's too late).

Absolutely right! Because addicted gambler always seek for the satisfaction in playing and that is the reason why they tend to borrow money just to sustain their will to gamble. Though others longing to win back all the money wasted without proper thinking that it might bury them with debts because addiction in gambling always ended up with nothing left but a miserable life.

that's right, gambling is not going to end because people still want to play the games with money involve and although some of them is not thinking about the money, they really love to play the games. but the other gambler still playing the games because they want to make money from gambling. gambler still searching the way for the games to make money and sometimes they used all of their money to makes more money and they can forget that is not worth to do that.

No i dnt think gambling will stop in this world. One may stop but we see everytime there are new kinds of gamblng coming out. It is just a sickness people cannot live with out. I’m not saying all but mostly.

What do they expect? Like everyone who go on gambling they expect winning. So even though they’ve lost a lot or they been burried in debts they still do not quit for a hope that one day they are going to recover all their loses. Sad but true,

People want money and they think that in gambling they will win every time whenever they gamble and this is what cause them to end up losing money and become addictive as they will play more to recover money or make money and this will be harmful for them.
