The most important aspect in gambling is to make sure you are enjoying the game. So better stay away from gamnling if you feel that you are not enjoying the game at all.

The lending of money from mafias inside the casino is the worst thing a gambler could do. So make sure not to do it and learn how to say no cause if you get caught by their words you will be in really big trouble

Yes, that is right, and I already have those experience, and that is hard to stop the habit if we don't have a strong mind to control ourselves. All is about to control ourselves so we can slowly turn the bad habit into a good habit and that will need time before we can stop it. We need help from a friend who will stay beside us to take care every time we play gambling and remind us to leave the gambling if the situation becomes worst. Gladly, I have that friend so that I can leave some of the bad habits in me.

How is gambling ever a good habit? I mean how can you make that analogy? People gamble away their homes, money, parents, wives, lives, you name it.
I find it ironical that as human beings we are incapable of handling the pressures of gambling yet somehow we are drawn to it. Like flies to the light in the midnight.

And that thing you said about friends. A gambler never has enough good friends to pull them out when required. It's rare.

I mean they can change their bad habit into a good habit in another thing and not from gambling. They can prevent themselves from becoming addicted gamblers, and they can have a second chance to fix their life too. I am sure that if we can learn hard to handle the pressures, we can control ourselves not to become addicting to gambling, but that depends on that person.

Dont chase your losses.

Only use spare money.

It might hard to stick to these rules but you must follow it to avoid unwanted situation for not playing as a responsible gambler who knows his limit.

Also don't gamble just because you knew someone who are winning big in gambling, take note, you are not like them. Maybe they are winning but that doesn't mean you will also if you try, trust me, you'll just lose your money when you envy someone's success and yet you never bother to correct your own failures in life. We share different luck, we are all good on something that other's don't, so focus on where you excel and polish that until you are satisfied with the result

That is how LIFE WORKS

1. Cancelling a withdraw because the sportsbook takes long to process it or because you saw a game you think will bring easy profit, stop right here.. my advice don't even think about cancelling this it's a trap that will leave you with no money to withdraw.
It is a psychological trap. If you really want to withdraw your money on the gambling site, think twice or thrice before doing it. Most of the time, when I win I withdraw my profits and remain my initial capital on the site.

2. Don't gamble while you are intoxicated, for obvious reasons judgement is impaired and you will be reckless with how you play.
A common problem for gamblers. Maybe they are gambling while intoxicated because of some problems and they are gambling to be happy even for a bit.

3. Never gamble with money that isn't yours, this includes taking out loans for the purpose of gambling  because this always ends in you losing all the sourced funds and will result in putting yourself in bad books with friends and family.
Total stupidity. I can borrow from another person if I will use it in trading but to use it in gambling? This is stupid but to be honest, most of the gamblers are doing this thing. Borrowing from their relatives just to have money to gamble.

5. Avoid gambling when you are angry or feeling emotional about something or someone, this too affects your game. If it helps talk or see someone before you do something you will regret.
I think this and the 2nd has a relation. They are angry and they want to remove it thru gambling. It is not good because you can't focus on it but if you see gambling as a stress reliever and you don't care about your loss then its ok.

Don't gamble while you are intoxicated, for obvious reasons judgement is impaired and you will be reckless with how you play.
This is against my motto of gambling. I do gambling for entertaining myself and I do have the habit of having multiple fun simultaneously. Yes, I do drink regardless of I gamble in physical casino or dicing online. I do bet on my favorite sports by watching the live matches along with alcohol and cheer girls.

All these are possible for me because I do gamble for fun and in sportsbetting I do place my bets before start drinking.

I agree drinking and gambling is not a recommended way of gambling yet you may go for it ONLY if you do not care about what returns you are making out of your bankroll. It would be complete foolishness to gamble for both fun and profits at a same time. Target either one at a time.

Feel free to add more to the list

I highlighted this as this is one of my problem when I'm gambling, I'm not saying all the time but there are times that I can be in this situation that I feel too emotional when I lose a decent money in gambling, can't wait to recover and instead of stopping and call it a day, I sometimes force myself to still gamble and just stop when I win back all my loses.

why would i cancel my withdraw if i discovered that it takes alot of time to withdraw ? i shouldnt have gamble on that site on the first place but if ever i agree on that terms , i will only wait until it process my withdrawals and i am not the kind of guy that will be easily tempted to play and gamble again once i already won or loose  .

the rest that you list are too obvious that it wont keep me playing a gambling  .

1. Never consider gambling as a money making method.
^ Definitely right, chasing money in gambling is not quite good. Once your budget to risk has been losing all, just stop and relax. Because if you continue to gamble maybe you are not in good condition sometimes if we have a red streak in a row it might be annoying us and our emotion must be controlled. OP statement was all right, that is very common that probably may encounter in all gamblers that they should know what they are doing once they have it. In general, we are talking about self-discipline.

Just to add, giving yourself a spade interval before another game whether after every lose or win.
I usually do this just to keep myself on check to prevent addition and to also prevent 'angry playing' a game after losing.
The spacing could be few days. During those period, I sometimes demo play to improve my skills before putting back my money in the real game.

I appreciate your tips, I also know that whenever I have a bad mood and when the atmosphere isn't good it affected my games. Lol.  We should play with the peace of mind.  Also, self-control is significant in every game if we set our mind and stop after we gained some profits even small then it is better.

We will get angry and feel negative if we still play in a bad mood. I am sure that many of us have this experience. Self-control is one thing that we should have so we can prevent from spending too much money. After we can do self-control, we can set our mind not to stays in the gambling places for a long time because that will be too risky for us.

Those that have been gambling for a long time will agree with some of these bad habits (if I may call them this) which I have found to have a negative effect on our gambling experience.

Any comments or additions, drop them in the thread Smiley

1. Cancelling a withdraw because the sportsbook takes long to process it or because you saw a game you think will bring easy profit, stop right here.. my advice don't even think about cancelling this it's a trap that will leave you with no money to withdraw.

2. Don't gamble while you are intoxicated, for obvious reasons judgement is impaired and you will be reckless with how you play.

3. Never gamble with money that isn't yours, this includes taking out loans for the purpose of gambling  because this always ends in you losing all the sourced funds and will result in putting yourself in bad books with friends and family.

4. Avoid accumulators, sometimes these are good but if you in it for the money avoid them! I know many will say if you don't risk it you won't win or say something like "go big or go home" but honestly think about it , you place an accumulator with 3 games and 2 games with big odds of 5 and 7 odds go through and you are left with the multiplier of 1.2 odds which goes on to lose Huh I guess you get my logic

5. Avoid gambling when you are angry or feeling emotional about something or someone, this too affects your game. If it helps talk or see someone before you do something you will regret.

Feel free to add more to the list

You need to add one more line to it to make it complete. It is the golden rule of gambling! A lot of people consider gambling as a money making method which is totally incorrect! Because gambling is there to offer you a quick Adrenalin rush inside your brain and a shot at your luck! So add the below,

1. Never consider gambling as a money making method.

Then the list looks complete!

I'll love to add, Stick to your budget. For me before gambling I already have a layout plan, which involves how much I'll be willing to risk for betting for that day. Sometime when you win, you get easily tempted to continue betting, might involving betting with both your capital, profit and sometimes additional capital that you never intended using.

Same thing happens when you lose as the tendency of you wanting to win back your fund will make you overspend which involves not sticking to your budget and most times, it does cost you.

I would like to add not knowing how and when to quit, you are winning and you want to extend your winning because you think it's your lucky day until bad luck caught you, you are losing and you still have funds available and you want to gain what you've lost because you think you can until you run out of money.

Don't gamble with the motivation of getting back what you lost. People often look at what they lost than what they are left with and bets recklessly ending losing up their total bankroll. Provide a budget for your gamble. Don't gamble the money you have set aside for different things. And when you win say a 100% profit, withdraw the profit as you have already doubled your base amount and start playing with the base again, being too greedy would make you lose all.

- Don't gamble without good money management.
- Don't gamble when you are not sure what to do and don't be too sure about what you are doing

Don't follow tipster choice if you don't know what you are betting for.

Especially at sports betting, newbie gamblers will just follow tipsters because they saw how good that tipsters was without knowing that this tipster actually have a lots of bets on-hand at the same time so in case of a loss on a certain game, they also have other chance to win on other games. Unlike those newbies who just follow a single bet and will lose in one single bet.

newbie gamblers will easily fall victim to this tipster because they feel confused or discouraged by what he does. Same with me when a beginner, many followed tipster to get quick profits but in the end it was the same, tipster was just bullshit.

I would also agree with OP's last point of not gambling during emotional times. I've made a lot of my worst decisions in life in general while I was overly emotional, and I almost never gamble when strong emotions pop up.

Haha That's difficult bro, you're the same as me. Actually it is human nature and its nature will be different in every human being. Emotions are natural, but we need to learn to control those emotions even though it is quite difficult.

My advice is:

Don't fall for a tipster until you see his results.
Some newbies just check some free bets of a tipster, they don't look if the tipster had a terrific past where he could have lost or scammed people by taking their money and giving bad signals or simply run away. Checking for everything and if too sure, trying with just a week's trial of VIP purchase is better instead of going for a monthly membership. I had bad experiences with this, so please be careful while selecting a tipster and paying him. Check records, ask for some free VIP tips, watch if you win, go for 1 week trial and if he proves to be a genuine tipster with good win over loss ratio, go for it.

I also experienced some habits that are really bad.
Gambling and in front of your friends or you are overconfident and you want to see your friends will praise you. Something like that, you are gambling because you want to be famous or you want some attention from your friends. It is really bad because gambling is not that about.
If you will succeed then it's good, but if not, too awful. Because your greediness will commence once you do some actions like these.

Don't EVER gamble or trade more than you can afford. Probably the biggest and most important thing that's going to prevent you from ruin besides avoiding taking out a loan or borrowing money from other people. Might be a bit hard sometimes, but you absolutely need to abide by this if you want to occasionally gamble.

I would also agree with OP's last point of not gambling during emotional times. I've made a lot of my worst decisions in life in general while I was overly emotional, and I almost never gamble when strong emotions pop up.

1. Probably yes, because the site was really long to make a withdrawal it makes you too spent your time wait to doing a gamble. Then you got a greedy emotional went got a small losee, after losing all your profit.
2. Emotional/Psychology was the biggest problem, not everyone can handle that.
3. Never do this, if i doing this. Then I'm an asshole person.
4. Sometimes doing this, sometimes not.
5. Same like my response on number 2.
