I probably would have considered the question that OP posed in the title of this topic a little differently.
Namely: Is it right for gamblers to use cryptocurrency? And here, in my opinion, there is a completely accurate answer - Yeah! Right! Certainly worth using it!
This is primarily due to the fact that many gamblers prefer to remain anonymous and still play with real coins that have a real value, which are transferred by anonymous payments. This cannot be done with ordinary dollars, rupees, yuan, and so on, simply because all possible transfers in fiat currencies are always personalized. And if the transfer goes to a deposit in a casino, it becomes obvious to the bank from where the transfer was made, and often, for various reasons, it becomes known to outsiders. If a player hides his passion for gambling from the employer and such information can even lead to his dismissal, then it becomes necessary to use deposit payments at the casino using cryptocurrencies. The anonymity of such a player is much better protected than with fiat transfers. And accordingly, the likelihood of strangers to learn about his passion for gambling becomes much less.
Unfortunately, many casinos have begun to require KYC verification, but still there are casinos in the gambling industry where this is not required.
You are right, using crypto to gamble is better and safer, you will some big amount of money? You will just cash out and no one will know, but if it's Fiat and you will big amount, your Bank will be the first one to overreact to your money, you will be forced to pay them a visit to clear where the money comes from, honestly speaking, crypto have done so well in my life than the Bank, I have more money in crypto that if I convert into Fiat I will be a target from the Bank or probably the law enforcement, when your money is too big it becomes a problem, like every money is a dirty money kinda thing.
There are few crypto investors I know that are in good shape than I am when it comes to money, you will.never know that they are worth that much and funny enough, they are rich in crypto not in Fiat, if they are to be judged by Fiat they are poor.
Crypto have it's way of keeping low-key life for its adopters, and it's the best for online gambling. I think that Satoshi's invention really created a whole class of such hidden millionaires who actually have quite a lot of bitcoins or other cryptocurrencies and at the same time lead a completely ordinary lifestyle, just like all other ordinary people. And of course, many of these people hide from everyone that they actually have very large fortunes, but no one even knows about it. There is one big plus here. Such a person does not arouse the envy of others and is not a target for criminals, who naturally do not know about his wealth and will never be able to find out. In this, I see a beautiful aspect of the invention of bitcoin and the fact that anonymity was originally laid down as the most important property of bitcoin when it was created.
Of course, there are not too many such people on a planetary scale, but they exist, and obviously bitcoin practically provided them with a comfortable life and even a comfortable life for their children and their descendants.
Returning to the topic of this topic, it is obvious that playing with cryptocurrencies is very profitable and correct, and from a domestic point of view, for many players it is much more convenient than using fiat currencies and intermediaries such as banks, as well as various supervisory authorities.
