I've lost over 10BTC in the past three months, and let me tell you. Stopping isn't as easy as you might think. I don't know why I keep doing it but I do. And the result is always the same.
Net Profit: - 5.500BTC
Sometimes I play Black Jack, sometimes I play Dice. Most of the time it's dice, and that's basically where I lose all my money. Nothing ever works. Martingale: Nope. Reverse Martingale: Nope. All in 80-90%: Nope. Spamming 97% win chance: Nope. I wish I could stop lol

Dice is always a money trap. At least with BJ if you play "basic strategy" you have a chance of going on a roll and beating the house.

Are these BTC for fun? Or a big part of your income? Cause to lose that much money when you actually need it sucks.

As we can see he finish his post with "lol" so it looks that he isnt very sad from this loss.. Or this story is not true.

Around month ago, on my eyes, one guy in about 3 hours lost around 3000 euros playing on slot machines. It was right before Christmas.. and he didn't look like rich guy. It was very sad picture.

I think if someone needs that money why would he even gamble that money ? But yes some do Sad

Some treat it like an investment, there is often complicated math involved so its easy to get tricked.  I think everyones goes through a stage in their life of trying to be a pro gambler in -ev games.

If you think you're addicted, email all gambling websites to block your email, account or even IP

If you are addicted its really tricky, there are too many websites an IP changers are really easy to install.  You can get a firefox plugin that does that in 2 minutes for example. I'd go and see a therapist, worth the money.

I think better than that would be to block those sites from your side, because if they blocked you once, you wont be able to access again in case you ever feel the need of gambling. So, dont take decisions which cost you later.

Yeah you right. better you delete all your gambling account to prevent you to come back to gambling and make a seperate wallet for gambling and your main account.

The problem isn't you are unlucky, the problem is the math is against you.  Doesn't matter what approach you should only play for fun with money that is not significant to you.

If you play dice game than no mathematics will work for but it is pure luck and if any one (not only you) play for long time surely they will lose money in this game. The game is designed like that and house want to make some money from house edge. Just find a ways to spend your time out from gambling to reduce your loses.

Yes, that is true. In dice game no tricks or calculation will work for any one. Dice game is fully depends on luck and we all know luck will not come every time so it is not a good idea to play this game for long time. Just play for fun some times instead playing everyday.

It means you are strong enough in gambling life
at least you're not asking people how to stop doing that

Tbh I don't get as upset as I used to over big losses. Now I know when I press that "Deposit" button I'll end up with -[amount] in the end. I basically do it for entertainment now, and if I win that's a bonus. I don't need to ask people to help me stop because I don't really like talking about my problems to other people so I just try to stop my self. I was going good for 2 1/2 months between october-december, then I started again. If you haven't started gambling, it's a good thing. Don't do it. I never believed any one who told me it was addictive & all that and it got me nowhere lol

Have you tried going to things like gamblers anonymous?  Not saying that you need it or anything, but it's free (donation based) and I think they are every where now around the globe, so it's not like it's hard to come by.  It's an add on from alcoholics anonymous, and uses the same format... but instead with alcohol it just inserts "gambling" where need be to make sense.  I've personally gone to alcoholics anonymous a couple of times, and while I don't still go, it's nice to hear stories of people who have the same/worse experiences than you... it's nice to put things in perspective.

Yep - any of those blocks are easy to take down, mainly by using a VPN/Proxy, thus this won't help too much.

When I encounter these sort of threads and issues I always say that it doesn't really help to stop cold turkey. People addicted need to rethink why they do it. The same applies to alcohol, it just baffles me that people abstain from alcohol for their whole life. What's wrong with having a beer or a glass of wine every week or once in a while? Nothing, so man up and don't be stupid, just have some fun and enjoy it. The problem that addicts need to overcome is crossing the line, but abstaining from it all together is just a stupid solution in my opinion and builds the desire to do it and throw it all away.

So, just have some fun, consider it entertainment because that's what it is, you can't beat the casinos. Bet on your favorite game, with money you can afford to lose (consider it gone the minute you bet it) and it'll be ok.

I think its better to make a vacation with your family to stop playing in gambling. Because you will forgot to gamble if yo are having fun with you family.
go to vacation in province that far in any gambling to forgot it.
Honestly if you are addicted to play in gambling its hard to forget it but if you willing to forget it you do it..

In that regard I would suggest everyone to learn about odds compiling and adapt a money management system. The majority of people winning is managing it by value betting, arbing or abusing wrong odds (hence odds compiling).

The idea of betting on a sports outcome with a 7-20% house margin in order to "make money" is funny but thats why the betting industry is calling all activities "entertainment" rather than "financial whatever" ...

Some are addicted to gambling which makes it even harder to just quit gambling.
If you're starting to gamble just do it for fun and entertainment and set yourself a budget for gambling.

I know I have to be a little psychological here considering your state, have you ever tried reading books ? Playing out door games? At worst case, maybe a family trip ? I know it sounds stupid but your situation seems worsening. Not sure if there are Rehab for gamblers but you definitely need one.I would advice you to start using a cold storage and shove the private keys in the Chronicles of Narnia.

I cant see how people can fall into losing huge amounts of money on gambling games. I play for fun and i am pretty much a winning player but i dont ever put my whole roll in jeopardy, if its getting to low its time for a break.
