To be honest, I don't even understand how players can bet their bitcoin, because it has deflationary properties as an asset. This means that it will most likely grow over time, roughly speaking, we could bet more stablecoins in a year than today, so why bet today? Of course, many players will object to me that they want to play here and now, but in this case it is better to bet stablecoins, because we will be able to understand our result after several games. With bitcoin, this will be difficult to do, because it is not clear how to calculate its price, by current values or by those that we bet a year ago. In short, if we bet bitcoins, we simply will not be able to adequately analyze our game.
Maybe that is because they want to increase their Bitcoin amount so they risks their Bitcoin by playing gambling. They don't think that it is better to keep their Bitcoin than to be used for playing gambling while waiting for the high price. It is normal if many people object with you because they have their own reason why they use Bitcoin to playing gambling and the reason maybe different than what I said. If they think that using Bitcoin is good for them, they will still use that even if that means they can lose their Bitcoin more than they can afford to lose because playing gambling can not gives them many winnings. But we can hope that they know what they do by playing gambling using Bitcoin instead using stable coin to avoids the deflationary.

I think it is simply because people expect that they will end up with more Bitcoin in the end...

But it is quite clear that the gambling odds are against the gambler, and the casinos are the ones keeping all that Bitcoin.

It's a bit similar to when people want to sell Bitcoin at "high" prices and to hope for the price to go to a "low" price and end up with more Bitcoin in the end. That's also a gamble really, with extra fees.

I have no real preference but looking at my transaction history on various sportsbooks tells me that I favour using USDT. I think this is probably due to quick confirmations when depositing and also the fact that it’s a stablecoin so I’m not going to get screwed if crypto dumps 20% because of some random FUD.

I still use fiat bookies sometimes though so that’s obviously fiat. I don’t gamble very often at all with the likes of Bitcoin or Ethereum.
At the end of the day, whatever money type you use to spend it doesn't really matter.

What matters is what type of money or wealth you use to save money.

Bitcoin for example is a nice asset, or you could also save in a house, etc.

But it doesn't matter what money you use to spend, because it's all changed to the current value when you spend it anyway.
We will use any currency that we think gives convenience so we don't have to worry if there are any fluctuation for example that will happen. But if we don't mind with the fluctuation with Bitcoin or Ethereum, we will still use that especially if we have many Bitcoin or Ethereum. Using fiat currency or stable coins gives benefit to gamblers because they don't have to thinks about the ups and downs of the price. The important thing is we can accept whatever we will get from gambling no matter if that currency is stable coin, Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other coins. For those who only have small amount of Bitcoin or Ethereum or other coins, they will not use it for playing gambling instead just save it and sell it when the price increases.

Furthermore, according to those that are into crypto gambling that the of a person use USDT to gamble that is even more profitable then using a Normal currency, but they said that why get advantage also get disadvantages so the reason why some people didn’t have interesting on crypto gamble is that is due how the congestion is come across at times.
I think congestion is no longer a problem when we're using stable token to gamble. I found many gambling sites that support L2 blockchains, like Stake. They are adding support for various scalable blockchains, like Polygon and BSC. This helps us avoid the downsides of a native blockchain when it gets congested due to high traffic.

It doesn't even make sense to use the congestion as a reason why people have no interest to gamble.

Fiat, bitcoin, USDT...although they are all currencies, they are not exactly the same, so we need to choose the right currency to spend. If you use bitcoin or USDT for daily spending, it will cost you more because you have to pay additional transaction fees while with fiat money, you don't have to pay any fees at all. On the contrary, if you use bitcoin or cryptocurrency for international payments, you will save time and transaction fees compared to fiat.

Also, bitcoin is a nice asset but is it suitable for saving? I don't think so, it is not suitable as a means of savings or store of value. Due to its volatile nature, it is only suitable for investment.

That's just what that person believes but in reality, there's no connection of luck to what currency you use.
Those are wrong beliefs people manufacture in their head and how they come about these beliefs is left to them, but on a general note just as you have rightly said there's no connection arising from what currency a gambler chooses to use with how profitable he going to be. Irrespective of the currency a gambler uses if he's ain't lucky with his bets he is still going to lose it so it's out of place to assume that the currency you gamble with plays a role in affecting how profitable you go.

Yep, money doesn't bite, no matter what money it is Grin Luck and responsibility are go-to's in terms of the success of a gambler during their sessions.

When I'm searching for online casinos I add the word "crypto" on it. With cryptocurrency, it's much easier and more reliable to deposit/withdraw than fiat.  There'll be no waiting for seven working days for my withdrawal to arrive based on the bank's policy. Availability is important, but when equipped with both fiat and crypto I would hesitate to gamble with fiat.

That's the point. You can use crypto freely without restrictions/limitations of any kind. It's often faster, and cheaper than Fiat. Best of all, there's no KYC required to use it (except when the gambling platform itself complies with KYC/AML rules). The only downside is market price volatility. But that shouldn't be an issue if you don't care about the money.

I'd steer clear from stablecoins because of obvious reasons. They're too centralized and tied to the traditional banking system. It's like using credit/debit cards in a virtual manner. The best thing about crypto is that you can use it in non-custodial (decentralized) gambling sites that are provably fair. You and only you are in control of your bets and profits. Gambling often has its risks, so I'd advice you to proceed with caution just to avoid losing it all in an instant. Smiley

I know that someone has to find faults and ways to make him believe that he's lucky with the use of specific currency. That's the placebo effect.
I also believe on that somehow to make myself believe that I am better at something or make something positive out of negative situations.
It's normal to believe that but when you're knocking to the reality, you'll realize that it really means nothing at all.
It also seems to me that such mystical beliefs that the currency that you use in gambling can take place among players.
It's just that in general there are a huge number of signs, mystical beliefs, all sorts of events around luck in gambling that have nothing to do with the game at all and yet, in the player's opinion, influence the outcome of the game. Then such a player can justify victory or defeat in the game with all sorts of such signs. And in general, I do not condemn such superstitious players, especially because such internal psychological attitudes accompany any person in his life. And these are not necessarily signs in gambling. Signs can also be in relation to any events in a person's life. And probably a superstitious person who lost in gambling, nevertheless finds it a little easier to survive the loss simply because he was, as it were, warned by this sign, but did not understand it or ignored it. And accordingly, the events that were the basis for this sign are to blame

I didn't know that your bank is very strict when it comes to gambling, requiring you to wait for days to withdraw. I don't use a bank either, so I can't share my experience, but I use a mobile wallet app where I can transfer funds to and from the bank, and I can say it's quite instant.

In my opinion, this falls under fiat gambling. I guess the main advantage of crypto here is that our transactions would be hard to trace, especially if our assets are coming from a non-custodial wallet. This would make it difficult for regulators to link us if, worst-case scenario, an investigation happens. We don't expect this, but you never know.

Crypto is the best option among all. Since we are in the forum participating from one activity to another then it is better to use crypto because it is decentralised, reliable and faster to reflect in the casino site.
If you use fiat to make a deposit, you will not know when it will reflect on the casino account for you to use it. Because you are not paying directly to the casino account bit to a third party account before it will be send to the casino account so it will take some times to reflect.
Of course, I also prefer to use crypto as a gambling tool in casinos and stable coins, because of the effectiveness and efficiency of transactions and because I may be used to using crypto rather than fiat, and I have never used fiat to gamble if there is a crypto option.

If it's slow like I would never use fiat it seems, it bothers me if it's like that in the deposit process, maybe even withdrawals are the same, it will be time-constrained because it requires a third party.

Crypto give convenience to use for playing gambling because they can send and receive the fund directly to their wallet no matter if they use private wallet or exchanges. They will search for the coin that have a low fees so they will not have to bother with the fluctuating of the coin price.
I agree with you. If you are not a gambling addict and you just want to have fun with a few dollars then crypto is better than fiat. That is my personal opinion. I think you can use exchanges, mixers or p2p services. I like p2p because I don't want someone to be able to track my money transactions. It is very unpleasant when you make a deposit at a bank and your transaction is recorded there. Although it has higher fees but it makes me comfortable and honestly I never make withdrawals and deposits anymore because I just want to have fun with the amount I get there.
Sometime I use p2p when I want to sends my funds to my gambling account so that will gives me convenience. Besides that, I feel safe using that way so I can playing gambling whenever I want.
Playing gambling using crypto gives us, a crypto user to hide our gambling activity from other because we can use our smartphone when we are alone. We will not get disturb by other people who doesn't like gambling so we can enjoy our time to playing gambling.
Using crypto to gambling can also hide our transaction from the bank because we don't send or receive any funds from crypto casino so we can feel safe. We just need to be careful to select the casino and always research before we choose the one.

The title says it all. Which currency do you prefer to use when betting? Is it stablecoins, good-old Fiat, or traditional cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum?

Personally, I like to gamble with crypto not only because it's "KYC-free", but also because it represents freedom. The only downside is market volatility. Stablecoins always have their value pegged to Fiat (usually the USD), but they're too centralized and often lack investor protections or guarantees of any  kind. And then there's the choice of Fiat, but most (if not all) casinos or gambling sites require you to reveal your personal ID (KYC) to use them. In some countries it's even illegal to gamble online. So crypto for me, is the true winner here.

How about you? Grin
The only reason I like gambling with crypto is because I can keep myself anonymous. I do not want to light out any information about my gambling. I think there are many people like me who are using crypto just for the same reason which helps them to remain anonymous. Gambling with crypto does not require KYC which gives gamblers the freedom to gamble that is not possible with any fiat gambling platform. Sometimes i like to gamble with btc and some times i use couple of cryptos in my gambling activities which are TRX and USDT. These coins have gained more popularity for quick deposits and withdrawals.

That depends on the exchanges, I guess. In our local exchanges, it's not allowed since gambling is illegal for those that aren't regulated. So, if the regulator of the exchange is very strict, then most likely that would happen, and funds will be frozen. However, if you are a gambler and a trader at the same time, you know the tricks to avoid that. One way is to not directly send the funds from the exchange to the gambling site; you need another or third-party wallet so it won't be noticed easily. If you can use a mixer, then maybe that would help, but also be aware of the risks of using it.
Yes, that depends on the exchanges but we must be careful and not risks ourselves by using the exchanges. The exchanges can knows easily where is the transaction so they can shutdown or frozen our account although they can send email to us and asks for the explanation.
But if we can be careful and not use the exchanges, we will not have a problem like that so we can send and arrive the funds easily. We as a gambler will choose the currency that we thinks easy to use and make us comfortable.
Many crypto gamblers can find a solution how to deal with that so they can playing gambling without having a problem and can enjoy their gambling activity. So we can choose which currency that we want to use to playing gambling and if we comfort to use crypto, we know what to do.

I can see that many of peoples prefer to use differnces of exchanges than fiat, they say that it’s safe life and flexibility because one about using the exchange wallet to gamble is that they will not need of going to others shop to make their for them to stake anymore.

I heard that exchanges doesn't allow people to send or receive funds from casino but I don't know if that is right or not. I don't do that because it is better if I use private wallet to send and receive the funds to my gambling account.
Every crypto gambler will use their favorite crypto to playing gambling but some of them maybe prefer to use fiat because they can see the real value of their money. That will be the same if they use stable coin to playing gambling so they don't have to see the changes of the value because of the price of coins will always change.
