Not all games are profitable but some have a good ecosystem that can sustain fun and even great profits. If you say this is a totally wasting time then it depend on how you handle it. As you said, not all gaming ecosystem is profitable to play, and that is true. Better play on platforms that pay coin that is actively traded in the market rather than a token or coin which is not yet in the market. We have seen a lot of projects that die not hitting in the market. So if you want to waste your resources via playing, at least select the project with existing value in the market.

The project looks interesting but they are not going to attract more users to their community if they do not have an announcement thread here, they should create one they are missing a lot by not creating one, I checked the telegram channel and they only have 237 members they can get more if they promote here.
Or maybe they can try to create a bounty campaign that would ensure participants would earn a significant amount of their coins so that they would be able to spread the message to all in this forum. I am not a gamer but if you are making profit from that games better post your earnings here to attract more gamers, gaming is only profitable for those who have the time and effort to win, that Kohima has a lot of features for gamers, do they have an announcement thread here you only posted the telegram channel, it's good that they have one so we can have an open discussion on their official thread.

not really sure about the project that the OP mentioned, but nowadays streamer is one of the "jobs" or you can call it one of the best hobbies in the world. You can make it a source of income if you become a famous streamer, and of course you can also earn quite a lot of money there, so playing the game is not a complete waste of time. 
I heard several projects tied and working with esports but never seen of them many get into success except the project named, Enjin.

I wouldn't invest on it. Just as I've said, many of them already failed and no longer in the interest of most investors. But if you can gamble your money with them and you think with the potential based on your understanding, it's you to decide.
I myself play a lot of games and as far as I know you can't earn any good amount from projects involved in crypto and games. Best option is streaming on some new platform like trovo where they pay you to stream if you have good following.

previously there were so many game projects that I found but none of them were successful, as a game lover you don't have to invest money there, you better use the money for something more profitable like trading or investing in top altcoins
There are many game platforms whose developers or team believes they could achieve something with blockchain but most of the times, they ends up becoming scams, not even working anything at all, or in some cases developing something completely different from what they promised thus showing that, the team have no adequate knowledge regarding blockchain and games. Therefore coming across this bring back some of those memories and I start wondering what will actually make this particular project different from others, then I found buyback and farming, although they are good features but the team will need to do more.
Furthermore, since you are a gamer, compare the gaming features they have with the ones you know already and check if this one is better, also check the experience and skills of the team and know if they are capable of building such game platform, this will in a way help you to decide.

I started being active and learning about altcoins and new projects around 2016, and I've also participated in some altcoin campaigns promoting gaming tokens, but none of them survived the market due to lack of development and it didn't get people's attention for them to invest on it.
