Have you ever noticed a promotion that was meant to exist for testing a service, but if utilized smartly could lead to real winnings? I have a recent example of this.

Very recently the local lottery monopoly in my country wanted to promote their app and gave 10€ to buy lottery tickets to anyone that would use the app.
The only requirement to cash out according to the promotion would be to buy some tickets, and any potential winnings would be yours to keep.
As you know, lotteries have very low winning odds, so probably they expected no one to win anything out of the promo balances they handed out. But seems like they forgot something...
Their mistake was that aside of just allowing this promo money to be used at lotteries, they also allowed it to be used on keno.

The gambling store version of keno has a high house edge of ~30%, but still with low risk keno tickets those playing smart would have a 60% chance of getting back all the promo money as a withdrawable balance or even winning more. Upon noticing this I told my friends and family to also create accounts and many of them got more out even than the promo balance.
Most of my family have never gambled but free money is too good to skip in any case. So we're now all waiting for the next promo, if there will ever be any.  Cheesy

Have you had any such experience where you managed to play in a smart way to actually be able to cash out money intended for promotion?

What country are you talking about that implements a lottery app that will give 10 euros? So is my understanding correct that there are 10 euros per ticket? If yes, isn't it like the price per ticket? Then it is right that out of millions of people who bet on the lottery, only one will be chosen to win their main jackpot prize.

Then it's possible to get really lucky and just increase the jackpot so that you have money in the lottery. I have read about some people who have been betting on the lottery for several years and have never been able to win, but if it's a total, the total of what they bet is a huge amount.

That's true. I had also signed up for a known casino in my country that offered a couple of free spins without having to deposit any money in return; it was supposedly a Black Friday offer. I managed to win a few euros, which I used to bet on other games and later lost. It was only a petty amount, not comparable to the €10 bonus you received, but my point is supporting what you've stated: sometimes casinos offer bonuses with no strings attached that may actually prove to be worth it. Even in my case, I could have potentially won if I was luckier, and it would be money out of thin air, 100% profit without even requiring a deposit in order to withdraw.

Which app was it, if you don't mind me asking?

I have not been lucky to win from such. I think I have once had a bonus on a gambling account were I had free spin and I tried over it to no avail. I feel it is more of luck than a definite effort to win from free tickets just like in real game. However, I have seen gamblers who have won from it.

Nice. You found a loophole. Cheesy
Maybe they have never thought about that or maybe they did it on purpose for their promotion to be successful. They can give out money but they are also earning traffic because of it. Just like you did, you told everyone in your family about it and so the news was scattered. There's a high probability that everyone who found out about this did the same thing and they are now gaining popularity because of it.
It's just little money and I bet they are going to make profits more than what you and the other promoters gained. When they receive more customers, more money will come in and I doubt they will just be there to watch, they will absolutely pay and that will be the time this gambling site will start taking money from the gamblers by using the house edge and the system where we gamblers always have a hard time to win against them.

There's one local casino in my country; if you have an account with them and you stay away for a long time without using the casino, they offer you some bonuses, requesting that you come and play at the casinos again. Last year, I had that offer twice, and I actually won a significant amount from that bonus. The first bonus offer gave me a small win, but it was still more than the bonus. The second time, I won a very significant amount, although it's not an amount that I have not won before. Using $5 to win $200+ is not really bad luck in gambling, right? Right.

There is also this mobile banking app that we use in our country; the more transactions you do with the app, the more they will keep awarding you different gifts. They have given me different kinds of coupons for airtime recharge, data subscription, DSTV subscription, Netflix subscription, electricity bill recharge, and also for gambling at about 3 different casinos. In essence, I redeemed most of the gambling coupons that were gifted to me and used them to gamble, and I still won more than the amount that the coupons were worth. Despite this enticing narration, it doesn't mean that I usually win all the time with those coupons and bonuses.

Damn that was a nice catch. I'm surprised that no one else caught it out (since Keno would've probably adjusted it or something once they notice) or was the promotion just short-lived or something? Sadly I don't think I've ever heard of a promotion for lotteries in our country. I've rarely even heard any changes with the lotteries that we have even, the only change I've noticed in my decades here were the addition of scratch cards but anything outside of that is nothing. Well, granted that it is government controlled, can't really expect much.

Sometimes I do wonder why it is very difficult to win with money intended for promotions. I have received promo bonuses on several occasions but end up losing them.
It is called promotional offer but which is given to many people which have to compete a task before they can withdraw the amount won. The task makes the money given to many people to reduce because most people will eventually lose the money to gambling. The benefit is that gambling sites are using it to make more people know their site, but in a way that what is used to attract the people which is bonus will not be withdrawn by almost everyone attracted through the bonus and the site will not lose more in the process.

The only time I was able to meet the withdrawal condition from a bonus was when I joined a certain platform and they gave me 100% deposit bonus and I was able to meet the wagering condition and withdrew a decent amountut of winning. I actually was not too desperate in this particular one because my past experience with bonuses made me not put hope. Maybe this was why I won with the bonus.
I can remember that I have used deposit bonus to win before. Also I have used it before and I lost. The last that I remember was to win 3x and I won it and withdraw the money. But the requirements to be able to claim the bonus at times on some gambling site is enough to discourage people because winning the bonus or using the bonus to win will be almost not possible.

I have never experienced that but if you think that you're able to outsmarted them, they'll try to recover that from other gamblers. So, all in all, how much you and your family managed to win with that promo from keno? That's like literally a prosperous new year to you and them and even they don't gamble at all, someone's going to like it when there's real cash ready to be taken by you guys by just simply purchasing the ticket from that promo. I think that you, your family and the agent is now friends and think that all of you are real gamblers and you befriended that guy.  Grin
Well yeah, thinking about it a promotion's success can be judged in a plethora of ways.
This specific promotion I mentioned probably was more costly than the company had predicted due to how easy it was to actually cash out, potentially even easier than they had predicted.
But at the same time that promotion also must have brought in a lot of potential customers so they could probably count that as a win. If a promotion brings in more revenue than it costed in a matter of months, it's successful for sure. Many online services such as stock brokers and banks are offering cash just to sign up these days. So it's not something unheard of.

There's a lot of investment to bring in customers that might become paying customers years down the line with financial services. If the same is to be applied to gambling then maybe it starts making more sense.
But from my experience gambling services expect a faster return on investment than that with their promotions usually.

This is a great opportunity for you and your family members and friends to make money but the casino also achieved its aim of promoting and testing the casino. They will not introduce another promotion if they observe that people have taken advantage of the past promo. I have not had such an experience, however, cashing out from this kind of casino promo will be a good encounter.

It's not easy to get free money on the internet nowadays unless there is a big promotion from a lottery service like the one you mentioned in this thread, everyone will definitely be happy and do it quickly to be able to make money inviting lots of close friends or family to try the service so that can get extra money for free. There's nothing wrong with that as long as you don't break the rules.

Each time I see such enticing offers in casinos, I suspect that it might be a scam (especially if the casino is not reputable) because you can hardly see any good promotional offers on the internet. OP can be generous and give us the link like he did for his friends. Maybe it might be a lucky way to start the new year.

This is very rare of casinos because most of their bonus requires conditions that are hardly met. The irony of this is that the casino aim is achieved. What they want in the first place by running that promo is to gain more publicity and more users which you already help them to achieve by introducing your family and friends.

Congratulations to those new members you introduced into our league of gamblers. This first win will definitely have great influence on them and they'll think winning is easy in gambling until they get deep into the industry. Some of them will start gambling on their own without your notice and before you know they'll become expert gambler.

By the way, how about you share the link here so others can try their luck too? Let us test the casino as well to see how this promo works.

There is no experience like that because my country considers gambling to be something illegal, but this promotion is good if it is run to attract people's interest to test the game and try the lottery on their application, free money there is no harm in trying it as long as it can make real money already Surely many people will be interested, I will not miss this promotion and will also take advantage of it to get free money.

How I wish this will also be available in my Country but I doubt it will come because our government
is greedy to give this chance for players freely , lucky for you and your family because you might have a chance
winning the jackpot mate though i believe it will not as lottery for me is systematic to only favor the creator/owner
and never the bettors .

It is a bonus I get from gambling promotion and not my own money. I just use it to either win or lose and there is nothing more. Sometimes I have used such to win good amount of money before and sometimes I have used such to waste my time before as I lost the money at once. It is just a free money which I can lose.

The gambling store version of keno has a high house edge of ~30%, but still with low risk keno tickets those playing smart would have a 60% chance of getting back all the promo money as a withdrawable balance or even winning more. This is what gambling services wants to achieve, to let more people to know more about them. Before you will know, more people will join and start to gamble. This is how some people are exposed to gambling.

I Haven't experience participating in that kind of gambling promotion but based on your explanation, It makes me think of joining in that kind of primotion offer, because in that way it's possible that you can make money by promoting and you'll earn other money when you win. When you have good content for promotion, you can encourage even more other people, which shows the effectivity of the way you promote the gambling and that's a triple win win situation if ever happens.

That is pretty good promotion and will attract many people in your country to use the app to purchase lottery tickets.
However, do the requirements for purchasing tickets to be able to cash them in also have minimum limit?
Getting much bigger odds in lottery betting is not easy and of course anyone who takes part in these promotions to be able to cash in will have some difficulties, but it is interesting.

Have you had any such experience where you managed to play in a smart way to actually be able to cash out money intended for promotion?
I personally have never participated in such promotions, but there are various promotions with free spins bonuses and they can give me winnings of several tens of dollars.
It just that the winnings cannot be withdrawn or cashed out easily because there are requirements that are difficult to fulfill, the average requirement is betting amount of 3 to 4 times the amount I won from the bonus round.
These requirements are unreasonable and that is why I always skeptical about promotional bonuses from some unpopular gambling sites.
