Did anyone already invent a theory that Satoshi is a timetraveller from future, who decided to bring us a future technology? So that mankind on earth progresses better and gets to a new level of development.

Yeah maybe he came back and opened a bitcoin savings account with his first block and is now living the high life in the year 3000

Hee hee - this thread has got me picturing everyone sitting on an ancient Roman hillside with a laptop, one by one standing up shouting "I'm Spartacus Satoshi!"

He can't login; he's effectively been banned form this forum: He only logged in using Tor, and logins via Tor are no longer allowed.
If you see my post then this isn't true. I just logged in directly through Tor and I'm about to hit Post.

Sorry for the confusion. It seems it's not a blanket ban on Tor, just that some IPs of Tor exit nodes are banned.

What if gavin is satoshi?
What if atlas is satoshi?
What if jessy is satoshi?
What if dsp is satoshi?
I think satoshi is *all* of these, and kiba, theymos, grondilu, and loads of others.  He's good at having multiple online personalities but he's good at it IRL too.  Ha ha ha, you fools all think there are lots of people working for bitcoin, but really it's only one.  I'm just waiting for that little slip-up, when he signs a post the wrong way, or one persona contradicts its own argument... waiting... and watching... and listening... then I'll do something cunning and sneaky, and profit  Grin

Bitcoin: An Idea Worth Spending
We're all Satoshi. Satoshi lives in every one of us, he's in each of our BTC, and our transactions...

Sorry, I got a bit emotional there.  Grin

Reminded me of the following quote from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuttle_(M*A*S*H)

Hawkeye: We can all be comforted by the fact that he's not really gone, that there's a little Tuttle left in all of us. In fact, you might say that all of us together made up Tuttle.

Please don't take it the wrong way. Bitcoin has always just been an experiment and I am currently working on perfecting the idea for another similar project. I can't release any details about this because of the amount of money people have already invested in the current Bitcoin network.

So what is the Bitcoin equivalent to the gaming blog Kotaku?   I believe a Bitcoin tabloid should be up with the top story that Satoshi returned and posted

This is pretty much what I was going to say. Satoshi is in all of us. He is inside me. He is inside you.

As soon as you first saw bitcoin, you had a little piece of satoshi thrust inside you. "There's no use disbelieving. There's no use struggling. This is a good thing.", satoshi whispers in your ear.

Sounds like a benevolent prison rapist.

Below, copied and pasted from a previous post of mine:

I believe it would be relatively simple for any one here to figure out who Satoshi Nakamoto if they took a little time to do this: http://www.lexifab.com/2010/07/stylometry/
Woah.  I was actually on that link the other day, and was already on top of this with some other theories I had.  Turns out, and I am 88% certain, that theymos has a second user name on this board.  I don't want to give up whose name it is though, but it rhymes with Batman.

If you change Batman's name to Batlas that is.

Theymos is not Atlas.

We should have a poll!

Gavin would probably win and now that I think of it, the Gavin-is-Satoshi-theory was never conclusively disproved... Wink

Excerpt from site above: Stylometry is a set of techniques used to identify the author of a work. It can be applied to fine arts and music, but in linguistics, stylometry is utilized to identify anonymous authors and determine forgeries.

I think there's a enough written by Satoshi Nakamoto to compare his/hers writing style to the writing style of any other person's style you care to compare.

Maybe someone would like to start a tread on Stylometry to get the ball rolling. I believe that within 24 hours we'll have a match with over 95% certainty.

i'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that whoever satoshi might be he is certainly aware of such software as Signature, and would probably alter his writing to avoid a match.  assuming he is still here in any capacity other than that of an interested lurker - which i find doubtful.

in any case, a project like that is not one i would pursue or participate in.  he clearly does not want any involvement right now - and clearly has always wished to remain anonymous.  i do need to look at myself in the mirror every morning...
