The reason why you should not go with genesis for now, its because the genesis was released to mine in the nicehash pool and it doesnt exist anymore. So for now you should go with zen for the most profitable short term way, and for prime for the long terme cause your prime will always follow the new technology of hardware mining.

Think about my ref link if you make a deposit  Roll Eyes

agreed.  Genesis is not a safe bet at this point, if they do not fix or add a pool with better returns that hashlet will R.I.P.  Zen looks pretty good.

I have been reading about Gawminer & Hashlet Genesis lately.  I am thinking about purchasing some hashing power.  I'm thinking of buying between 100 Gh and 250 Gh.  From reading the previous comments, it sounds like most people think this investment would not ROI.  However, I am not looking for a quick profit.  I am more interested in re-investing any btc I get into buying more hashlets.  I would keep re-investing for several  months, possibly more than a year.

What do you think about re-investing in more hashing power?

Give it a go, but with Zens, not the Genesis! Genesis won't ROI!

zero sum game, eventually you have to buy more to keep your earnings on par.

Yeh for anyone looking to invest I wouldn't go Genesis, just get Zen's and if you're a risk taker get some Primes for future algo's

True, I suggest the prime hashlet and the zen one.

We got the news that we will be able to boost the prime, to upgrade any hashlet to another one, like a genesis to prime...

There will be a surprise october 23th for the prime users.

There will be few legendary hashlets available soon.

sha hashlets like genesis are risky now that nicehash is no longer an option. THey will never reach ROI unless promos are offered or you sell them back

today i have reached 50% ROI with my scrypt hashlets in 1 month.
if i would sell it would be instant ROI plus profit
i bought hashlets on 15.99 USD when they first started  Tongue

Which hashlet did you purchase, Zen, Prime or other?

the prime included an automatic migration if any new or better gear for mining are for sale. Yup even if it 49.95, 3 days ago it was 39.95 and its still benefical.

i don't get how paying $49.95 per prime scrypt mh/s is worth it ?  bitmain is coming out with the L1, which is $5 or less per mh/s soon. these primes will fall by the wayside IMO.  if i recall correctly, Bitmain and Avalon had somewhat of a price war and they lowered the cost of Gh/s back then...so i expect Bitmain to do the same to scrypt mh/s.  any thoughts ?
At the moment it's not clear. I made some posts around it in other threads. I believe those 1Mh hashlets may become 10Mh in the future, etc
I think it's like a prepurchase plan, but yeah, at the moment, $50 per Mh is too expensive...luckily for me my average price is $15 or so Cheesy

I only have 5 mh but they are all paid for.

i also have an s-3 which is paid for.
You're not the only one, I heard over 50% of GAW's customers have already reached ROI point.

Same here dude, I gave my trust to GAWminer and if some other here have gave their trust to other company and the services they received are ok, then I should suggest them to stay there, we all have the same objectives with different experiences.

The prime is not 1 mh/s, its 50 ghash to mine bitcoin and not litecoins.

As technology goes, its normal that today we need 1 mh and tomorrow we will need 10mh and then 100....

The price on Gawminer vary between 15 and 20 USD for each MH...If you pay 15 you mine in the less profitable pool and if you have 20 youll mine in zen pool. just remember with gawminer you can mine either bitcoin or litecoins, if you mine litecoins, gawminer will pay you still in bitcoin.

No prepurchase plan with the prime, theres no contract.

I dont want you to get the same point as me, if ur not sure about gawminer then listen yourself and stay with your other way to mine bitcoin....Same objective, I just wanted the people here to know about GAW and now its done, Ill let the time flow and.... MINE Cheesy xD

Then ajw7989 instead of genesis Hashlet I would suggest you the prime one.

Its a little costier, but your hashlet will always adapt to the newest technology, as you can see in the hashlet comparison page. No contract, no wait, lifetime.
It says it will, but it doesn't say how, so it requires a lot of trust
I'm already invested (from converted hardware), so I'll have to wait and see

GAW Genesis Hashlets will not ROI unless they do something special. THe difficulty is increasing too fast. Even just a 15% increase in difficulty will never ROI. GAW is known for running good promotions though and if you can resell the hashlet when the marketplace opens then possibly you might ROI. Also if they run a few extra promos like double your hash. But strictly a dollar gh will not ROI
Completely agree. With current numbers, i dont think the Genesis or primes can ROI, unless somehow GAW makes them bettee, as implied, though not really sure how they can do it (even the solo hashlets I'm not so sure about them)

Because the hardware upgrades over time including algo changes like scrypt-n, x11, x13 etc.

thanks, i have been out of the loop for a bit.  i have no clue WTF x11, x13 are ?  i am going to google that shit =)
