That's strange considering there's absolutely no relationship between the two companies.

What of GAW is left? Just Zencloud?

i havent researched this but my guess would be that they chose people higher up the ladder, specially in hopes that huge mass of HT'ers would be contacting. hence putting pressure on the actual writer. too bad its one thing to pump the price of a coin and totally another to get in contact with media outlets & connecting your real information to a complaint

Oh, and the qntra article doesn't source that David Parker is Jonas Borchgrevink. Anyone know why they said that?

That article says it was written by Evander Smart (a data point against nominative determinism), not Parker. Josh must just have it in for Parker, I guess.

what happened to Mr Gonzo paying top tier lawyers from his own pocket to rectify these media outlets?

Why pay expensive lawyers when you have a bunch of minion do it for free.  Hell, half of them would pay Ganza to have the opportunity to do his dirty work.  Hashtalk logic at its finest.

Mr CEO calling forth the troops for an assault on those pesky reporters again:

Time for a big ol HT circle jerk! WooHoo, Friday! "YaaaH! He only locks us out of our accounts for a ~week per month while relentlessly dumping XPY on the exchanges! Yipppeee! Thank you!"

Terror against journalists - the long awaited, new feature™ of Paycoin.

Oh yeah so it's now the media's fault, I seem to remember the same delay tactic was used when shipping their asic miners in which they would create false tracking numbers by submitting the paperwork online so they could say the miners were shipped in their "guaranteed next day shipping" but then ship them out a week or two later and blame the shipping company.

Nothings going to happen but a couple marshmallows, I'd like to see Josh try to take them to court and provide proof that the halts weren't deliberate but of course they just take their word without proof, as always.

A blast from the past!

Why dont you post from your real account?
This is my real account. I have not felt the need to post here until now and am happy to lurk.

The reason I finally created an account and started posting is because of the attrocious customer service and outright lack of truth about my order coming from GAW. I am a strong supporter of companies that deserve it, and equally strong in letting others know when companies are behaving badly. Gaw, in my case, behaved extremely badly.

This has been a very interesting situation. We have called FedEx several times on your behalf and they claim that all that needs to be done is to have the duties and taxes paid. I have fulfilled your request to have a full refund issued. We have called fed ex and will have the package re routed to us. I am sincerely sorry the miscommunication on your order.
It's "very interesting" indeed. I got an original tracking number issued Monday August 4 after my order on August 1 and was told several times that the packages were in Canada waiting for me to pay for duty and taxes, yet Fedex themselves told me no, the packages hadn't been received and no duty or taxes were due because they weren't in Canada for Customs to inspect.

A second tracking number issued on Tuesday August 12 (after I'd been told several times that the Aug 4 tracking number was in Canada waiting for Customs payments). Again, after being told the packages were due to arrive Aug 13, and again being told that I needed to pay the duty and taxes to release them, Fedex still didn't have receipt of the shipment.

In both cases Fedex was able to tell me when I called and what we talked about. They had no records of any contact from the shipper other than Gaw electronically sending in the shipment details, which anyone with an online account can do. Fedex, as well as UPS and other couriers have an extremely robust tracking system to ensure that every one of their hundreds of thousands of packages are delivered to the right place at the right time. It's kind of odd that Gaw is telling me that Fedex is wrong, with two different tracking numbers. If the original order had been shipped and was waiting in customs for me, why then the second tracking number? And what happened to that original tracking number? Still sitting in the Fedex system, showing paperwork submitted and no parcels.

And as soon as I demanded that my order be cancelled and refunded, late that next day Fedex showed the packages were picked up in HATTIESBURG, MS (but the shipment papers were opened from a BLOOMFIELD, CT address). They eventually arrived at my destination where they were refused and returned to sender as after all the hassle I was not willing to take the chance of bad miners being received.

To their credit Gaw did refund my purchase without further issue.

It's equally "very interesting" that the thread I started on Reddit going through the details of this was deleted and my account there banned. Apparently the truth hurts.

Anyhow my rant is over. I've ordered from a different company and am quite happy to have received those units within 3 days of the order being placed. And through Fedex, that same Fedex that lost the Gaw shipment not once but twice...

This all could have been easily avoided had Gaw been open and truthful about the status of my shipment and the delays. I could have accepted the delays but all the deceit did it for me.

Hope you all have better experiences.

What kind of muppet trumpets the fact they fixed withdrawals (after sooo long) then attempts to deflect the issue of the failure (and other ongoing failures) by turning on the media....

utter foolishness

And as for truth, I suspect he wouldn't recognise it, even if it walked up to him and poked him in the eye.

Except that they haven't fixed withdrawals, not all of them anyway. There are still people complaining.

To be fair, if Coinfire's doing an article titled "...Adam Matlack Under US Investigation," they should at least call the guy in the article title for a comment.

Of course, they might have done that, and Matlack might be a liar. But if Matlack's telling the truth, that speaks to unprofessional and incomplete journalism.

He also addresses something in the article when he says, "I did not purchase 15 prime controllers. Period. " It's nice to finally get his statement on that.

I don't know where he got the stuff about being contacted by a federal agency or being served a subpoena, though. It's either poor reading comprehension or straw man argumentation.

Same thing as that Paybase blog entry about the SEC investigation that has since been proven to exist: "PayBase has investigated these spurious allegations and confirmed that they are false."

As for the 15 controllers, I asked huey about that on GH a while ago. The answer was that the Foundation "manages" 15 controllers, but he didn't provide any details, e.g. which controllers. And we know from the floor debacle that "manage" in garzaspeak is equal to "purchase". We also know that Gonzo makes transactions on behalf of other people without their knowledge (ZenMiner). So there are some twisted possibilities where some of these statements might be true and also blatant lies at the same time.
