It appears that coinfire is (or is attempting to be) actual journalists.

Them standing up for themselves will be a lesson for GAW and everyone else in the Streisand Effect

Good the picture is on record so no denying it wasnt received. Maybe josh's spam filter caught the original emails Smiley.

Can coinfire counter sue on bully tactics ? Would be great to get coinfire to fund a transparent investigation with donations to get the truth. Would boost their journalism exposure too. heck id donate!

They are already gaining much on that hack FUD. Right after it happened they sent someone to sperad the word on reddit that "GAW hacked Coinfire". Now whatever they write will be welcomed with open arms by the anti corporate community.

...but I am sure @KC6TTR will help us to find out. I also wanna learn the truth and asking those firm to sue him immediately, if any of those claims are not real

Also will sue that 3rd party, if they are writing lies about that company as well.

Bring it on.

Excellent reply and more detailed than required. Needless to say, that attorney, who is the same guy that contact me, will not be on my Christmas card list this year.

Don't get too carried away. He only removed the downvote button. Nothing was said about shadow bans (not mentioned in the WSJ blog either) and regular bans. This is a nice gesture but it won't magically make Hashtalk welcoming to critical thinking.
The topic is locked so you couldnt post even if you wanted to Smiley

So the article was picked apart already, not much to criticize there anymore. Let me reflect on the positive side.

It looks like GAW is concerned about criticism enough so that they made a somewhat half-assed attempt to "prove" themselves. I still don't understand why they needed to throw out an obviously bogus 28k BTC claim and how exactly WSJ verified that "flow", it would have been so much more believable with 5-10k BTC. So this shows a couple of things: 1) slightly less arrogance and slightly more listening; 2) this is a far as it goes and certain lines probably won't ever be crossed - e.g. publicly displaying those addresses and/or proving mining back to August. I think overall this is positive, as it establishes more clearly where GAW stands in the debate.

Let's also not forget that all this will fade into the background as "staking" becomes their main business. That thing has more red flags than a PLA parade and is even less comprehensible to any "media outlet".

No, the downvote button is removed everywhere, not just that one thread. I doubt anything else has changed but if someone wants to prove it by asking the CEO if he has had 35 PH/s of SHA256 for the last two months - please go ahead.

I hope that company lives couple more months so I can double my investment, already make a ROI so not my problem if they close it as well Smiley After that time, I really do not care and yes, I also feel sorry for that 15 years old boy, but this not my problem this is his/her family problem. I am moving on and of course I won't ask any question related to real hash power (I never asked that question to Hashie, Chabatmining, Ltcgear, Cointellect and Hashprofit as well so why I am going to ask that to Josh right now. I don't care, maybe he is doing fractional mining. Up until he pays no problem for me)

Thanks for chit chat and valuable advice , I own you, In January will be in Oregon probably start my own mining farm from garage (I don't trust anybody, have to see miners). Take care yourself

They are removed for only that topic not for the whole hashtalk, I just asking you to state your opinions under that topic. If they ban you, that will show how they are keeping their promises right.

people go on insisting that GAW is an elaborate scam. Could be, but I don't think so.

that doesn't mean it's not a botched up business plan in the process of failing though...

Quote
Mr. Garza said GAW follows meticulous compliance and record-keeping to ensure it can’t be charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission with selling unregistered securities. “If one cent of our payout (to customers) comes from anything other than mining, it is a security,” he said.

Didnt GAW in the past say zen pool is a combination of mining/investing and other secret sauce stuff. If its pure mining as he states above how is zen pool the most profitable? He'd have to have major hash power dominating block solves. maybe > 51%?

Does nobody else see the flaw in his on the record quoted comment or did the wsj blog misquote him yet again?
