I haven't watched those (welcome to third world Internet) but I'm guessing they were made at the height of the hype. Not trying to justify, just keeping in mind some context might be helpful. Some people genuinely believed in the magic money machines like the Vaultbreaker or the Hashlets, some were trying to get into the inner circle by appealing to CEO's narcissism, some may have been skeptical but chose to suspend their common sense in favor of greed, and so on. I would think many of them would cringe themselves now looking at those videos.

Btw Carlos refusing to answer questions can be used against him. The law is that you must ask to remain silent, he wasn't silent, didn't ask to be silent and was given the chance.
