Slightly unrelated, but figured you guys would get some laughs.

Out of the goodness of their heart, badbitcoin has a coupon for users to get a discount at mining sweden, which "is like a breath of fresh air in this cesspool of bitcoin investments."

They are offering it in case people need a plan B for scrypt.cc.

I wonder if this qualifies as a plan C for GAW users? Am I the only one that moved the likelihood of miningsweden being a scam from 98% to 99% upon learning this news?

I tried asking gotram (he's some sort of representative for Mining Sweden) some questions and didn't get anywhere, partly due to a language barrier and also because he's not actually running it - there is this Tommy person who's the boss but doesn't seem to communicate online.

Anyway, they are mining (pics of miners, addresses were provided) but their sales and promotions are convoluted - best I can figure out is that their products are seriously overpriced - and obviously having badbitcoin promoting them is a huge red flag. If I am gotram/Tommy and intend to run a legit business I'd make a public statement to distance myself from that toxic waste of bandwidth.

It is also interesting to note that badbitcoin has now dropped mention of scrypt.cc interests from its declaration, but still does not include it in the bad list.

Because the bad list is only inclusive of bad choices that the site hasn't dove wallet first into...

In other legal news, Carlos Ganza's DUI court date is tomorrow...

Isn't he a wanted fugitive still?

As far as I know, yes. His name's still on the list. No mugshot still though.

What list , did I miss something?

List of Brattleboro PD current arrest warrants. Carlos' name appears on there. Not sure why; I don't think he missed a court date or anything related to the DUI yet.

He must have some really good lawyers...  Roll Eyes

Defendant, Carlos R. Garza  (Richard F. Ammons)

Yep, Mr. Brilliant obviously hired the best law firm this side of Jupiter to defend his beloved brother:

Name:   Richard F. Ammons
Status:   In Good Standing
Law Office:   Windham County Public Defender's Ofc
Location:   50 Park Place
Ste 1
Brattleboro, VT 05301

LOL, he probably tried to get them to accept paycoin as payment at a conversion rate of 1 XPY per $20 they would charge.

No doubt - How the hell the guy even qualified for a public defender is beyond me - he must have zero income or it's all in paycoin or BTC lol... unbelievable.  Huh

GAW Miners Lawsuit Ends With $340k Default Judgement [coindesk.com]
( This is the Mississippi Power Company suit )

Looks like this is how it starts, now that there is a default payment and people are taking their money the rest will come forth as well. Coindesk is the highest used Crypto news site with a huge amount of traffic hammers home the truth that it is a big event and court cases are happening over use of Altcoins.

as if Gaw has $340,000 cash lying around.
who the hell can they go after for that kinda doe?
maybe they'll settle for a few million xpy....
Considering it's a utility company, they probably have the assets to pursue Garza.

On the other hand, Garza was already offloading parts of the company to other people earlier this year...So it might take a lot longer to actually get anything.
