Please refer to the Mississippi Power lawsuit linked above. Did you happen to collect "maintenance" fees from your customers and forgot to pay the power bill? Then switched customers' miners off and sold them? Or is there is some other explanation of all this that somehow makes sense? Please enlighten us. We'll move on to Paycoin next.
What Garza actually had miners going? I thought they were all unplugged and just for show. I thought the power bill was for his huge screen tv that he bought with hashtard funds.
The 350k power bill indicates that there was at least a massive power consumption. So I think there was some mining at the beginning
Wasn't most of that bill a contract for the installation of a transformer for the equipment (which I believe wasn't even sufficient for the equipment). Doesn't mean he actually powered that many miners.
but why did they even use so much power then? I mean, they never planned on running a lot of miners.
I thought there was something in the mail dump about it. Been awhile but from what I recall the power company was contracted to install a transformer to provide x amount of power. Even with the costly transformer it wasn't nearly enough to power the miners they were supposed to have. Even if they didn't use the power they were still on the hook for the cost of the transformer and the agreed upon power consumption in the contract with the power company.
