Uncle Stu will more than likely settle. Josh on the other hand will probably get a lengthy sentence as the good old USA treat people whom undertook fraud worse than murders. He would of been better off killing people for their BTC!

He sent @Goroz to an early grave, under the stress of having squandered his savings on Paycoin, meant to support his family after his passing.

He murdered many hopes & dreams -- and the professional reputations of many former supporters, including the Frasers.

So....book him now, @truckinusa!

Got off my lazy butt and typed my victim statement.  Hopefully I am not the only one.  It will be an interesting read once all the statements are published.  If you need any encouragement or help just read through a few Bernie Madoff victim statements.  They are great reading material and also a great template for what to write.  $1500 isn't much, but hopefully I do get it back.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everyone!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too! Smiley

BTW the threatening thing was Gleb's post here. Then Ms. Peerce proceeded to say that it was GAW victims making those threats. As far as I know Gleb is not a victim, just happens to be trolling here. This probably indicates that Garza and his lawyers won't hesitate to lie trying to elicit empathy during sentencing.

Damn it, Gleb! Maybe someday you'll learn to keep that big mouth of yours shut. Grin

I'm as guilty as anyone here, leaving fodder for the defense to ask for leniency because of internet trolling.

I expect prosecution to point out that Garza perfected online bullying and intimidation first... and was involved in real threats and sending of dead animals.

Can't touch this.  Hammer Time.

Sorry I've been kinda busy IRL so limited my Bitcointalk time mostly to laughing at ION and Bitconnect, both truly gawsome projects.

I have now updated the OP of this thread, added the DOJ case, pulled all documents from PACER. maildir - if you're still around check the top links out, might find something interesting.

For example - from the transcript of the plea hearing:

Quote
MS. PEERCE: The reason why I’m requesting this is this is a very -- there’s a lot of press about this case. There are a lot of blogs, there’s a lot of threatening things that have been said about Mr. Garza and his wife including as recently as this morning, some things that were threatening. So I would prefer if possible that his medications not be on the public record.

Sonny Vleisides of BFL ripped off U$50M from the elderly with his mail-order lottery scam and only received a U$100 fine and three years probation. Josh's crime was for less money with few elderly partaking, and didn't include the US Post Office. Do the math. Then again, I know of a dude serving life in prison without parole for operating a website, the same website associated with the crime of another dude who served a little over a year in a low-security prison, spending all his free time reading books.

any News guys Huh gawsuit, something ... Undecided

Lots.

Garza pled to 1 count of federal wire fraud; will be sentenced in January or February.  Should have been sentenced & incarcerated on Jan 5 but there was an admin. delay.

Victim impact statements are still being collected.

Stuart Fraser is now sole defendant in GAWsuit, although his son,l Thomas, owner of Zen Miners, was complicit.
Courts have already refused to drop the suit against uncle stu, so stay tuned.

I expect that GAWsuit Plaintiffs will collect some damages!

Around 2024.

Garza colluded with Cryptsy.

Gave them one of those hyper-staking, coin-hosing Paycorn "prime controllers."

Let's impeach him!

Had anyone here read this carefully?  Just kinda lays out what he is looking at as far as fines and prison time.  Might be old news for some.  I hadn't read it.  Dated in July 2017.

http://docdro.id/UIqF1zG

I hadn't seen this.

NOTE how Garza is required to REIMBURSE VICTIM COSTS of attending proceedings!!!

Last minute planes to Hartford sure cost a lot.   Wink

The no-sale of Zen Miners, owned by Thomas FRASER seems to be one of the LYNCH-pins in this case.

Uh, oh, uncle stu!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111   oh noes.

Ohh that's nice..., I might grab Missys and make a mini vacation out of it. Smiley
Problem is that he is probably broke. lol
I still go with the pirate with buried treasure theory.  Hopefully they keep a close eye on where the coins went.   I hope they have records that he cashed them all.  If he did it on cryptsy of course there wouldn't be record.
