A startup exchange with hardly any userbase trying to get photo ID verification. It may be the correct way but users will choose another, there is no dearth of exchanges.

IMO gebbit is going about it the wrong way, but then it is their business they must have some experience.

Worked for lesser hours?
How could he say this?

The outcome is perfect and the volume of Gebbit is doing great.
I am not paid for even an hour, though he paid all the other
scrappy marketers in full though they didn't follow Gebbit's instructions either.

Why should I be treated in another way?

There is never gonna be a conclusion for this
as expected from both sided is a hot headed type which claims to be correct while the other one is wrong

small claim to have done the job and worked as the minimum hours agreement ( no solid proof for this )
Gebbit claim that small didnt work as the agreement and did the last work after his payment is withheld ( again no proof for this only a claim from gebbit )

Small in the end you didn't send anything except one picture which showed you had lied about having done the work you said you did. The proof was not only that you didn't send the work but that the homepage had changed showing that you had done that one picture only after I withheld pay. And withholding pay was part of the agreement.

in the end because there is no solid proof of which one is lying, then this matter will keep on stucking at this pace

Gebbit has proof that I did the last picture after payment was withheld.
But, I told him that I'll be finishing the rest of the pictures and sent it to him on the time he
requested it ALONG a message stating that they'll be claiming my accounts.

And then, said that he'll be paying after I sent it.
After a reply with all the accounts, they asked me to provide ID.

it was last minute that they asked for ID, and never provided theirs.

Upon the 10th image you sent the resolution was clear enough to see that your name was not even present expect for in your own writing on the document. How can a company accept before hand an unstandard ID which is not an ID which they cannot even see because there is no reasonable resolution photo of the ID which is not an ID?

I love the fact that you are ignoring that you are a time thief and that you've lied suggesting that Gebbit was hacked.

Honestly I would want a clear photo id, that piece of paper could be anything, or his mothers paper back ID.
Who does paper ID's anymore? They are long gone. Its all photo id.

Who does paper IDs? Scammers who are afraid of being exposed. They will send in low res images 10 times and then begin to threaten you with harassment and lies about your company if you don't pay the extortion.

But that isn't a photo ID anyway. It's a car registration. He should have sent in whatever ID he uses to drive that registered car.

But I'm not doing this just because I wasn't paid.

I'm doing this because they could do this to everyone else, no just me.

Right. They didn't pay you and now you're thinking about community's wellness and protecting other members. Grin
But you weren't bothered about it as long as you were getting paid. Cheesy

I am so grateful that you're here to watch over us. Roll Eyes
Thank you.

I told you I was wrong at first, and I'm sorry.
*sigh* waste of time.

Thanks for warning people that if they scam Gebbit they will get the Small treatment

let me get this straight, you want your payment isnt it? so rather than this case is left on the middle of nowhere, i suggest you to submit them the picture of your work that you done (if you havent submitted it ) and provide an ID picture with higher quality , if you havent done anything suspiscious, it should not be very hard to provide higher quality ID

I want to come into an agreement with them.

Send their ID, then I send mine.
OR
Send the BTC and problem resolved.

if you wanted to play like a hot headed kindergarten child, then feel free to do it, i doubt gebbit would want to present their ID, an owner of an exchanger would want to keep anonimous, you know even the top volume exchanger btc-e have been operating in anonimous state until now

Then if I'm working for an anonymous company, why should my anonymity be breached?

Frankly, I was doing a job.
I was getting paid, and so I carried out instructions.

But as they got sketchier and sketchier, I did things my way and questioned them.
and I don't care that you don't care. It's funny coming from someone with a neg trust for scamming.

I agree with you though that I was selfish. I'm sorry.
But I'm not doing this just because I wasn't paid.

I'm doing this because they could do this to everyone else, no just me.

they claimed that you have done job with lesser hour as you said
and they ask for your photo with higher resolution

it seems like you havent provided it, do provide it, your picture is in a pretty bad resolution for this gadget era, it looks like it was taken in 90's

I heard Gebbit had only one user so what did the hackers expect to gain? Even if the hack really happened, and I doubt that, there wasn't much to be stolen.
Calling them a scam is a bit harsh because they were paying you for some time, just refused the last payment, am I right?

It doesnt mean that dont pay him or called him scammer if he said more hours. Both can negociate it and pay him atleast what he did.
I dont know what is the problem with the photos,  these are looking good, If you can identify him then i dont think that there is problem with the photo?

in here is the evidence that gebbit presented i guess

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/only-one-user-and-already-trouble-should-i-pay-the-extortion-986642

the photo clearly show his face but not the document that he was holding, it seems to be really out of focus, i dont know what kind of document is it but i can say that the picture is surely not focus

Well I don't know what to say but I will say this. I don't trust any exchange and so I don't trust them but I don't trust you either. I mean a month ago you were promoting the site and asking people to make deposits in that company. Why did you not inquire back then that whether they were a legit exchange or not?

I'll tell you why. Because you weren't worried about it since it was not you who was depositing money, right? I mean if someone had deposited and lost money in that exchange, it wasn't your problem because you were getting paid. And only that mattered to you.

And now since they don't pay you because they don't feel that you're doing a good job, all of sudden you're saying, they're not legit and they're scam and all kind of crap.

You acted very selfish and irresponsible for personal gain. You and Gebbit both make me very suspicious and I'll be very careful dealing with both of you. And frankly I don't care now whether you get paid or not.

@small what you will say about this?

There are few point that are against you that gebbit have proof that you were trying to hide your identity by intentionally providing low resolution images. And Also your claims are false that you had driven traffic to the site as there has only been 1 user. So what you say?

Contact users:

devthedev & SmackThatAce

they also requested images from me in a transaction before,
and the quality was exactly the same.

I take the pictures using my webcam.

1 sign up for the month?
Trading constantly?

If so, would that have been just FundsMoney?
Since he is the first customer. But wait, he didn't know about the
other person transacting at Gebbit, so who's the SECOND "1 user only"?

I think you should be paid some what that you advertised their site here. You did some work out side the forum also.
@ gebbit you should pay him like pay per post that he made here while advertising your site, as a compensation.

It's not only that, he can't even post proof of his own analytics.

For 3 days he's had a BTC Volume range of 0.0001 - 0.004 BTC
FundsMoney has already withdrawn.

Meaning there's another user trading.

Well that wasn't my point. My point is you say you were in-charge of the Marketing and according to them they had only 1 sign up in a Month. Now I don't know what contract you had but usually when a company hires someone for a job, they like to see some results.

See what I mean?

They don't have proof for that either, they have a volume and have many buy and sell orders.
that's only 1 user? amazing.

Also, if thats the case they should've released me earlier, not made me work for 1 more week and not pay me after.

Also I find it really suspicious that he fired me a day after I asked them to provide their official documentation.

I USED to be their contracted marketer. meaning I was outside of the company.

So what exactly is Gebbit? I have never even heard of it.

And you should provide some proofs of your claims. Otherwise it's more a case of "He said / She said"

This is exactly my point.

A person aliased "John" from Gebbit contacts me.
Doesn't provide a last name, and his name isn't even in
any page of Gebbit.com

Well that wasn't my point. My point is you say you were in-charge of the Marketing and according to them they had only 1 sign up in a Month. Now I don't know what contract you had but usually when a company hires someone for a job, they like to see some results.

Damn... This is unfortunate news.
As @Small knows, I was the first to make a trade on Gebbit, as they have a giveaway/promo active.

My personal experience went great, they delivered the prize as promised (100EUR) and processed my withdrawal (50EUR) in a timely manner.
Also, they kept me updated daily via e-mail.

I can't take sides right now, as this issue with Small's pay must be resolved, however no proofs have been presented, but I agree that Gebbit needs more transparency. This is crucial for a bitcoin exchange.
- Who are they? ; - Where do they operate from? etc.

I have also applied to be a local representative for them a few days ago and again I've received good communication from them (without any final decisions though).

As for the hack, this is serious news!

Calling out Gebbit for some explanations as this needs to be resolved ASAP. Hope that everything will turn out okay in the end.

From this post its looking that you are not their official member, but from your other threads its looking that you are the menager of this site?

Now who is responsible?

I USED to be their contracted marketer. meaning I was outside of the company.
user Gebbit here in BitcoinTalk is the owner.

I'm concerned and pissed off that

1.) They refuse to reveal any information about them

2.) They're really unprofessional

3.) They have no experience in their field

4.) I am left unpaid for my last week of work (20 Hours)

Ohhk i got it! sorry if i used some harsh wording

he was a previous marketer for gebbit

i found this to support his claim

Hello everyone, as of today March 8 2015 (GMT+ Cool
I have been released from being Gebbit's main marketing contractor,
but I will still be handling minor promotions such as an upcoming
signature campaign.

Please direct your questions to [email protected].

I'm sorry.

Gebbit was hacked and never told anyone. Refuses to pay me for my marketing services unless I provide them a
"high-definition" photo of myself with my ID, when I aleady sent them the highest possible definition through any of the cameras
in this house, and the text is obviously readable.

I totally recommend against using Gebbit.
I personally asked them to give out their information then they fired me for it.

They refuse to give me the pay for the last week of my services ($300 for $15 per hour).

They claim to be EU POLAND based but they don't know how to speak in Poland much less write in it.
I believe they're only using the bank since it provides anonymous banking and they operate elsewhere.

I've been putting up with their sorry excuse of a company and strategies they've been imposing on me
with the ideas they've been forcibly shoving down my throat. Even telling me HOW I should properly do my
job when I brought traffic and activity to their site single-handedly.

Ultimately, Gebbit is just a sorry excuse of a scam waiting to happen.

this should be at scam accusation and are you sure they were hacked? because they were looking for freelancer in here which indicates they are still doing their business

EDIT : seems like it was moved to scam accusation already
