Our policy has been clearly expressed over the years. Simply put, it is to deliver long-term capital growthwhile preserving shareholders’ capital; the realisation of this policy comes at a time of heightened risk, complexity and uncertainty. The economic and geopolitical environment therefore becomes increasingly difficult to predict.

The world economy grew at a disappointing and uneven rate in 2014 after six years of monetary stimulus and extraordinarily low interest rates.

Stock market valuations however, are near an all-time high with equities benefiting from quantitative easing.

Not surprisingly, the value of paper money has been debased as countries have sought to compete and generate growth by lowering the value of their currencies – the Euro and the Yen depreciated by over 12% against the US Dollar during the course of the year and Sterling by 5.9%.

In addition to this difficult economic background, we are confronted by a geopolitical situation perhaps as dangerous as any we have faced since World War II: chaos and extremism in the Middle East, Russian aggression and expansion, and a weakened Europe threatened by horrendous unemployment, in no small measure caused by a failure to tackle structural reforms in many of the countries which form part of the European Union.

In short you are in Rome, some people believing to be smart, decided to fuck Gaius Julius Caesar and all his Men when they were away. they came back and saw. what comes next? And if you knew what they did away... you wouldn't have dare to fuck them, ohh no. but it's to late... they did. When it was said never fuck with the legions, it wasn't only meant for the outsiders.

So I can't agree on his assessment, it's even risker Cheesy  Cool  Kiss.

It's not as risky as the Cuban missile crisis, or when Soviet tanks rolled into Hungary in 1956, or the Korean war when the Americans got too close to the Chinese border for comfort.

It is a bit of a tinder box though, it wouldn't take too much to start a war, especially when the BRICS and the traditional powers have such different systems in place and value systems.  They just don't mesh well together, then consider that the BRICS are growing ever stronger but not really being given recognition of this by the G7 and other institutions, I could imagine a war starting, even if just to gain the respect they feel they deserve.

Interesting would be what modern day war looks like between mayor powers.  There hasn't really been one for a long time.

You felt to get that the real ww will one the us soil (and western nations), it will be an homefront war, between the oligarchy (and those serving it inside the usmiic) and the clean part of the usmiic. Once the clean part get how much they have been fucked, internally (meaning by those in the hierarchy) and a new line of orders (clean) is brought, IE ROMANLIKE  (meaning the gen and co can stand among friends when walking among the troops - meanwhile the d.e. of the usmiic walks among prey to exploits).

A apart China (thousands years of war xp) and Russia (less but still pragmatic enough)... In what are the values different? nope it's just those receiving and those being exploited that change... Maybe most "people" are children of apes... that looks like humans... that would explain a lot. Some kind of white skinned monkey was able to rape and procreate with woman long ago... who knows... using dna tech? When plausible explanation became irrational I know who isn't in charge...

I'm a cynic, I'm a quaint
I find it difficult to disagree with his statements, even if there wasn't any risk in disagreeing.

But to have someone in his position say it out loud may change sentiment in many amateur / small time stock traders.

I have to complement this with an obligatory:

Sell!!!
