Germany is an occupied country unfortunately this means nothing.

But occupied by who? Seems to me that they're the only Eurozone (as in the currency) country with a trade surplus, so they've got extraordinary free will compared to the rest of the Western world (USA being the blatant exception, of course). They've asked for gold reserve re-patriation from the Federal Reserve, they've complained at the politics level about the NSA affair, and protested very strongly at the citizen level (all without any heavy handed policing breaking it up). They talk more and more of becoming militarily independent again, so despite the US military bases, they seem to be pretty much doing as they like on the world stage.

Germany is occupied by German people!  Cheesy

This is a convincing conclusion!  Grin

This seems like very positive news for Bitcoin, like the government is basically saying hey it's a private matter, not our business.

Also, big thanks to Casacius for those physical bitcoins. They may not be ideal for transacting bitcoins but they have done a lot for people associating the image of bitcoins with something real.

We have a federal election on 22. of September. So in my opinion it means nothing, because they do NOT want to spread fear at this moment.
