I am really disappointed that Dortmond lost the game against Mainz and also missed the chance to reclaim the league tittle. Bayern has dominated the league for so long and I wanted them to win it. I think they were complacent, they thought they were going to win. They have themselves to blame, starting from the coach. How can you bench one of your most important player... Jude Bellingham in a game like this? He wasn't injured and even when things weren't going as planned he didn't thought it wise to bring him on. Also, the Haller missed a penalty in the first half. I was gutted also because I sincerely didn’t want Bayern to do the 11th time succession, I wanted Dortmund to win not just for the sake of toppling Bayern but because of players like Reus and Modeste who both have been in the league for so long and haven’t pitched the title. Mainz were just superb today especially their goal keeper but Dortmund didn’t threaten that much although they had above 25 shots and also above 10 on target. Most of these shots came from crosses and Mainz were just too organized at the back today.
I tried to watch two matches at the same time, Dortmund really missed a lot of chances in the second half, they tried their best, but Mainz defended with the whole team and they managed to draw as a result.
