Looking at how it was 4 in a row draws for Schakle, I could say that they are doing just a "bit" better, not doing a lot better but they got 4 points out of last 4 games, considering they got 9 points in 17 games before that, we could say that they are doing nearly double better in points compared to their old average.

This is why this game wasn't really shocking to me, they realized that winning games is not something they can do, and they park the bus very careful and very talentedly and try to score but don't care about that part as long as they don't concede. I actually thought that Union Berlin will grab the three points from this meeting with Schalke but I was disappointed to see the match ending in goaless draw. but that is not a bad results all together having one point is better than losing all the points. I would usually agree with you regarding Union Berlin vs. Schalke, but don't forget that Schalke broke an old Bundesliga record. They played 0 - 0 four times in a row. It was not completely unexpected that Union Berlin would have a very hard time to score against them. Opponents where Berlin has to be creative and make the game are harder to play for them. They prefer a back and forth game where they can also use their speed to crack the defense. That was not the case against Schalke.

I don't expect fatigue to become an issue. Union Berlin has nothing to lose, they are living their dream as a club that nobody had on their list a while ago. They are on fire and I think they will stay among the top four in the Bundesliga and qualify for the champions league. I don't know whether they can compete for the title, but we will now see what they are up to against Bayern first.

Dortmund has made a breakthrough with this win and got the 2nd position from Union Berlin, A 1st goal for Dortmund from Marco Reus's assist to Karim Adeyemi, then the 2nd goal of Dortmund was the assists from Adeyemi to Donyell Malen but the struggle cost an injury for Karim Adeyemi, so he needs to be out of the game, But because of this Hertha will have a chance with a goal of their own, and on the 2nd half an assist from Suat Serdar to Lucas Tousart was the 1st goal for Hertha, Then Marco Reus will have a goal of his own, and last goal for Dortmund was from the assists Bynoe-Gittens to Julian Brandt winning against Hertha,

Bayer 04 Leverkusen VS 1. FSV Mainz 05 GOAL 2 - 3 - WIN

Leverkusen seemed to play rough until finally one of their players got a red card in the last minute, fortunately, the red card didn't come out in the early minutes because that would have made Leverkusen unable to face Mainz. Due to the violation committed by Leverkusen, Mainz got the opportunity to take a penalty kick and score a goal to make Mainz win this match.

They are very likely to be eliminated in the Europa League as well. Because they lost the first game which was a home one by 3-2. I wasn't expecting them to even draw with Monaco here actually. But they couldn't play the game they exactly targeted here. The Europa League is more important for them as they at least have a chance for the Champions League.

Maybe it isn't easy to make it to the title but at least they can try. Because it is even doubtful if they can qualify for any tournament considering their situation in the Bundesliga.

Dortmund is a very good side this season they have won all their matches both home and away since the resumption of league football after the international break, there current form is very good with a splendid results.

If I were Dortmund I would focus more on the league. They are on the same points with Bayern and they can put more pressure on them. At this point it is easier to win the league more than winning the champions league. I am really impressed with how well Dortmund have turned their season around, they used to be very inconsistent but right now they are on a ten games winning streak in all competition. if they can keep up this form in the league then they stand a chance because even if Bayern are not in their usual form now, they'll soon be and when that time comes if Dortmund are not focused they can get left behind. The only way for them to focus to prioritize the league.

I wasn't happy to see that result. I wanted to see them top the Bundesliga so they could be more pressure and heat in the top four standing. But be that as it may, I'm so happy to see the current nature of Bundesliga football. If things continues like this, the champion league and European league of the next season will be so competitive and exciting to watch. Let's see what will happen in the Bundesliga at the end.

I already wrote that I also considered a bet on the Union Berlin as possible, but refused it. Including because if Union Berlin had won, they would have become the leaders of the Bundesliga (and not just at the beginning of the season, but in the final part), which would have been too good for them. I won't blame Union Berlin for the lost against Schalke, their are sometimes for failure in football. Union Berlin.  Union Berlin has really tried this season to be among top teams making Bundesliga very interesting.   Union Berlin is strong enough of defeating Schalke,  but I think Schalke is just lucky playing draw with Union Berlin.

Leverkusen is playing bad this season and it is good to see them far from the relegation zone. I don't expect them to get a European competition spot this season. They just have to keep some positive results to avoid getting near relegation and try to figure out a way to improve the team.
Even Europa League won't be easy for them, especially that they missed the first leg vs Monaco..

There is a really big drop in Leverkusen's form again really. They started to lose many points in the Bundesliga and this reflected on their Europa League game against Monaco as well.

And this time they lost to Mainz by 3-2 in a home game. There were a red card and a penalty missed by Tapsoba. The reason of this loss was bad defending indeed. Xabi Alonso actually had a good run first but things started to be upside down again. But at least they are still in a safe distance with the relegation zone now. However this doesn't mean they can be very relieved. They should do their best to get away as much as possible.
