Shocking result from Bayern Munich today and they should have won against a weak opponent today. This is good for the league that Bayern Munich drops points so that it becomes really intresting. We can expect in next matches easy wins from Bayern due to a bad couple of matches
I was sure that Bayern would win today, and did not consider them for a bet because the odds were too low. Something inexplicable is happening to Bayern in the Bundesliga, why can't they win so many matches in a row? This despite the fact that they dominated in all matches. It's very strange, but in the Champions League they win their matches.

Yes, there could be many reasons, or maybe they just didn't have the best start to the season, without any attitude to the game. On top of that, the team's scorer, who really did a great job and scored a lot of goals, is gone. Bayern will manage without him, of course, but they need to get used to it

It seems the most plausible reason is Bayern lost their goal scoring machine, since Bayern lost Lewandowski they seem to have difficulty scoring
goals. Even when facing Augsburg many chances were created by Bayern, in addition to Gikiewicz's incredible performance by making 7 important
saves, Sadio Mane as a striker played badly and couldn't score. In fact, if Bayern's front line is productive they can win against Augsburg. It looks like
Bayern should immediately bring in a striker to replace Lewandowski, because Sadio Mane is ineffective as a centre-forward.

But what surprises me is that even though Bayern are doing poorly in the Bundesliga, but Bayern played very well in the Champions League.
I don't know why Bayern's performance is so different when they play in the Bundesliga, now in 4 matches in a row they failed to win, hopefully Bayern
can return to their best form soon. But with Bayern's poor results, it must be admitted that the Bundesliga is much more attractive, because there is
a possibility that Bayern's dominance in this season will end.

In the Champions League I do not remember them playing badly, at least the last few seasons so for sure. Sadio Mane is really not suitable for the position of a central striker, he should have been placed on the wing and I think he played better and felt more comfortable in that position

Bayern Munich has proven once more how bad they need a complete forward like Lewandowski. They still continue to lose points in the Bundesliga because of not being productive. Being unable to score against even a team like Augsburg is indicating a huge problem for them. Mane is a great transfer but he shouldn't be their striker choice. Mane should play on the wing just as it was at Liverpool. Maybe it is difficult but they had better do their best to sign Kane. He is the most logical player to be brought to the team now to solve the scoring issues.

Sadio Mane plays much better when playing from the wings and has been playing as a striker for Bayern Munich this season, I also think it would be better if Bayern are able to get a natural 9 who will take that position it will be much better and even make room for Mane to play from his preferred position. It will take a lot of convincing for Harry Kane to make a move to Bayern, might even cost them up to £100m for the transfer.
It will be better but indeed on the other hand it seems that bringing Kane at the moment is quite difficult.
He is starting to rediscover his form at Tottenham after last season lost momentum there. on the other hand he is an important part for Conte so it will probably be the same as Manchester City did a few seasons ago with Kane's drama.
But indeed when Bayern dare to pay a big clause I don't think this is a problem.

He was the type of player that shouldn't have been left contractless anyway, it is a good decision to get him, Stuttgart made a good decision there, don't know why it took so long to get him to be fair. It's going to take a while before he adjust to playing again, he hasn't played a game since last year, which means at least 4-5 months of break right?

And that is why it's smarter to first put him on practice, and then put him in the late games, and then slowly put him in cup games etc etc before you start to give him 90 minute playing time. Otherwise he is going to be out of breath by second half and defenders can't be tired, they would be beaten by strikers too easily and allow goals.
Honestly, Zagadou is an exceptional talent, unfortunately he's always struggling with injuries and that's probably why the contract with BVB wasn't extended. However, I am happy that he's found a new club and that he's staying and playing in the Bundesliga. I keep my fingers crossed that he stays fit and is a good reinforcement for Stuttgart.

as kicker.de reports today, the out-of-contract defender Dan-Axel Zagadou will move to vfb stuttgart. this sunday, the obligatory medical check is to be completed. Zagadou was the last 5 years at the league rivals borussia dortmund under contract.
Zagadou didn't have much playing time last season. central defender who I think is quite strong but doesn't get much playing time.
only played 15 times in 1 season in the Bundesliga last season and did not show much of his best performance. and this decision to move I think will be good for Zagadou as well in his efforts to become in the main squad and get more places to play.

Bayern Munich will soon realize that it is not easy to replace a world class striker. Bayern NEED a replacement for Lewandowski ! Not necessarily at Lewandowski's level but at least someone who still represents a high level and understands the role of a striker. Why not bring Harry Kane? He would suit Bayern in my opinion.

I don't think Spurs will let him go unless they go big on for Kane. Kane is crucial for Spurs and to get him from Spurs will require lot of negotiations and convincing. Remember when Kane was unhappy with Spurs situation couple of seasons ago, City made a bid of around 120m/130m mark (don't recall clearly but was definitely above 100m mark) and that was denied by Spurs. So unless Bayern make a really big offer I don't think Spurs will let Kane go. Furthermore, convincing Kane is also another issue.

I have just taken the ranking and have to say that I am slightly shocked by the performance of Bayern Munich. For years dominant and led from round 1 to the end. How different does it seem now? They are in 7th place. Played 7 games, won 3, drew 3 and lost 1. Those are not stats for Bayern Munich. I might have expected 3 draws and 1 defeat after 25 matches. Nice for the other teams at the top, Union Berlin is at the top. Nice for that team, which normally can never stand there. Dortmund hooks up well, but has already lost 2 times. If they really want to go for the championship then you can't lose 2x in the first 7 games. Well, the season is still very long.

Union Berlin 2-0 Wolfsburg
My prediction was correct. Union Berlin is against Wolfsburg today. Although the first half was a goalless draw, Union Berlin played brilliantly in the second half and managed to score two goals. Union Berlin probably didn't attack much. But their performance was very organized. This is why Wolfsburg was able to score against Union Berlin despite playing a very defensive strategy.

Union Berlin continues to surprise me. I could not watch their match live today but according to the statistics their win was deserved today. Even though most of the stats in this match were pretty even between Union Berlin and Wolfsburg, Berlin clearly had a few very good attempts to score while Wolfsburg did not have a single attempt on goal this match.
I don't believe that Union Berlin will be still in the top 4 of the table at the end of the season but every point that they are getting now gives them more confidence and less pressure, because i think their most important goal is still to stay in the league and with a start like that this is almost certain now again in my opinion.

However, we might see Harry Kane at Tottenham in a few more seasons.

I would say probably till his career end. He seems to me kind of a dedicated type of player so its Tottenham till the end. Anyway, for Bayern its better to find someone else as a striker. There are lot of experienced they can find in the market or maybe invest some buying a young potential player like they did buying Lewandowski 8 years ago. Its not that hard, its just that they need to be smart about it and should be spot on.

Tottenham is not interested in selling Harry Kane. Because Tottenham's key player is Harry Kane. Also, Harry Kane is probably not interested in moving to a new team. He has been with Tottenham for a long time. Although he could not win the title with this team, but he has adapted quite well. If Kane wanted to leave Tottenham he would have found a new team this season. Even several renowned teams were interested in Harry Kane. However, we might see Harry Kane at Tottenham in a few more seasons.

Sheraldo Becker with a brilliant assist and goal. The first was very well taken header by Jordan after a brilliant cross from Becker. The was a thing of master piece from Becker, although the there was controversies about the goal but the referee was right to award it. It was just bellow his arm sleeves. I think with Jordan and Becker's connection coupled with Union's composure at the back it's high time we take them seriously

Bayern have been playing very badly for weeks. If Lewa hadn't missed those goals in the Barcelona match and the penalty had not been given when it was 0-0, Bayern would have been disbanded in that match as well. I don't understand why there is this situation in Bayern. Nevertheless, no matter how many points Bayern Munich loses, they will still be champions at the end of the season...
Bayern Munich showed a different performance after beating Barcelona in the UCL, while in the Bundesliga Bayern appeared sluggish and in the last match they were forced to surrender 1-0 by Augsburg. Losing a lot of points at the start of this season meant that Bayern had to drop to 4th place with 12 points. Bayern's form has decreased slightly since one of their goalscoring machines moved to Barcelona, but dropping points in several games did not make Bayern out of the title candidates at the end of the season.
from the last 5 matches of Bayern, they only won 1 - drew 3 - and lost 1 (yesterday), I think that the impact of Lewandowski's departure has already been felt

Bayern's defeat of Augsburg is sure to be a strong motivation for the UCL teams that will face them. Bayern are really in danger of not getting a trophy this season if they keep playing like this, they have to bounce back

Union Berlin is at the top of the points table after winning today's match with 17 points from 7 matches. They are 2 points ahead of second-placed Dortmund, and 5 points ahead of Bayern Munich. Union Berlin has had a good start to the season. If they can maintain this consistency, they will compete with Bayern Munich for the title.

FT: Augsburg 1-0 Bayern Munich

Berisha's close-range goal saw Die Roten lose for the first time in the Bundesliga this season. The visitors' attack was nowhere near the level they showed against Barcelona in midweek, but their efforts were all thwarted thanks to a fantastic performance from Gikiewicz in goal in Augsburg.

Gikiewicz's performance showed just how solid Augsburg's defense was throughout the match, and provided an indication of how their game plan developed once Bayern entered all-out attack mode.

In one of the games of the season (I already forgot which one), the goalkeeper of the rival Bayern already set the Bundesliga record for the number of saves per game. Now we see another game where the opponent's goalkeeper shows a fantastic game. I would say that Bayern have an obvious problem with scoring goals - after all, the fantastic game of goalkeepers is the flip side of the fact that Bayern attackers do not do their job. I wonder if they have already begun to regret that they released Lewandosky or that they did not sign Ronaldo.

Bayern Munich's current condition in the Bundesliga is really inexplainable. While I was waiting for them to put an end to their winless streak they added another loss of points to that. After Augsburg got ahead Bayern Munich started to be even more effective and dominant. But they still couldn't score even one goal. I don't what is happening with the productivity of this team. They were much more different against Barcelona in the Champions League.

Does this mean to you that they are caring about the Champions League the most and having focusing problems about the Bundesliga games? Or maybe there is something more serious behind this which they had better solve it as quick as possible.

I'm sure Bayern will get back on feet but the concerning fact for that game is that Bayern didn't manage to score and that happened after 87 total games. Funny or not , in 2014 , Augsburg stopped Bayern for scoring a goal after 65 games of scoring so like it or not , it seems Augsburg always had something to say when they played against Bayern. More than this , Bayern fans should not be worries as they are favorites to win UCL this year ...or so say the odds.
a result that certainly surprised all fans and also those who bet for the Munich win. looking at the statistic, it shouldn't be difficult for Munich to score. they controlled the game, making 19 shots but few on target. Munich indeed has problems up front. they weren't bad, but they didn't have a player who could completely break down the opponent's strong defense.
Munich may not be replaced by its current position in the standings if Hoffenheim and Frankfurt do not get a win. they get a pretty strong opponent, it looks like Munich may only be a little behind from the top 4 standings.

First of all, the finishing from Bayern Munich is not there. Secondly, I have seen that in the match, Bayern Munich is making some miss-passes and that also at some crucial times.

I think this is happening because of the pressure that they are feeling right now. Very high expectations were from Bayern Munich. But currently, they are not being able to deliver. Only 1 win for Bayern in the last 5 matches.

A lot of people are saying that this is happening because of Robert Lewandowski not being on the team anymore. To some extent, this is true because he was a player who can score in almost every match at any given time. But obviously, that cannot be an excuse. We always thought that Bayern Munich is a lot more than just Robert Lewandowski. But that really does not seem to be the case.

I think that the most interesting of today's matches will be TSG Hoffenheim - SC Freiburg. It's hard to name the favorite of this match. Hoffenheim has won all the games in their home stadium so far, which should make them the favorite, but it should be noted that Freiburg is the best in the league in away matches and so far has also achieved only victories. If two months ago someone told me that the winner of this match could become the leader of the table, I would not believe it. And if he added that it would only happen if Union Berlin did not win its match, I would consider him crazy Smiley
That's right, and this is also a fight for a place in the standings, because it is certain who wins the match will get a good place in the standings. Both clubs will certainly perform to the best of their ability. Hoffenheim is the host to be seeded because it benefits from the status of the host. It will be an interesting match, I hope both clubs play an impressive game.
We will watch a match where 2 teams with close scores play against each other. A match in which the winner can advance to second place.  So it will be very noticeable. It is also noteworthy that it is the last game of the week.  It's been an exciting Bundesliga season. Union did not lose and they are the leaders. Bayern are far behind, they need to pull themselves together soon.

Losing a lot of points in 7 games this season meant that Bayern Munich had to drop to 4th place in the standings and could potentially be shifted if Hoffenheim were able to get 1 or 3 points against Freiburg in a few hours later. Actually Bayern Munich started this season quite well with 3 wins in the first 3 matches, but draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach was the start of the match. Bayern Munich had to drop points and the next match was held to a draw by Union Berlin and Stuttgart until last match totally failure get points after defeating by Augsburg. Drastically different performance showed by Bayern Munich in Bundesliga and Champion League because success win 2 match in 2 games.
this is a very confusing thing, as if Bayern are not focused on Bundesliga matches but they have had a series of bad results in 4 Bundesliga matches.
but with the quality that Bayern have I'm sure they will be able to bounce back and defend the title again this season although it will be a bit difficult because some Bundesliga teams are now getting stronger.

you're right about that. Bundesliga needs some big investors to help the competition become more competitive. It's not so difficult to talk about the competition itself. So many times bayern have been dominating this competition but i hope that if there will be something new in bundesliga.
that will be pretty interesting if there will be some new investors to the small clubs in bundesliga which will make competition become even strict.
Investors are also actually for the Bundesliga, I think it's still a little difficult, because as far as I know for the Bundesliga 51 percent of the club belongs to the supporters, so 49 percent is still very big, but the policy that the supporters want is much bigger. Bundesliga is not the same as other leagues where the owner of the club can decide anything here.
