Gladbach - Bayern Munich game is open for any kind of surprise. Gladbach are not a team to be underestimated. They defeated Bayern once in the last season. They can do it again. So, I don't think of betting on this game. Or maybe I can bet on both teams to score. Grin

Because I think that both teams are very capable to score even at least 2 goals.

It is still discussed in the media which player should replace Benjamin Pavard in the opening game against Gladbach. Bouna Sarr is a right defender so he would be the perfect replacement if you just look at the position but Sarr delivered pretty disappointing performances in the last season and even in the preparation games for this season he did not really play a big role so i would guess that Niklas Süle will start instead.
I also think that the chances for the other teams to win the Bundesliga title are higher than in the previous seasons. Bayern is still the big favorite, but if they are having a bad start into the season then everything can happen.

There are two games which I think they will be very competitive and delightful on the first week:

Monchengladbach - Bayern Munich
Dortmund - Frankfurt

For the first game, I think that Bayern Munich are closer to getting a win. They still have a very strong squad. They haven't made much change in their lineup. It was rumoured that Lewandowski could leave the team for Chelsea. But Chelsea ended this speculations by signing Lukaku. So, I expect Lewandowski to start the season well and score in this game. I think that he will have a big role if Bayern manage to win. But we shouldn't also forget that Gladbach are a tough opponent especially in an away game. They defeated Bayern 3-2 in the last season here. I'm favoring Bayern in this and they should play against their opponent very carefully.

When it comes to Dortmund - Frankfurt, I'm favoring Dortmund in this one. Haaland was another player who was rumored like he would join Chelsea. But it hasn't happened. And Haaland started the season great. He made a hat-trick in the DFB Pokal game of theirs. I think that he can score at least 1 or 2 goals in this game also. Frankfurt are a tough opponent but I think Dortmund will make use of playing home and defeat their opponent.

Don’t think the Gladbach team is a weak opponent. The Gladbach team may not have star players like Lewandowski, but they are stable enough. If they win against Bayern Munich, there is nothing to be surprised about. But my guess is both teams will share points in this match. Gladbach will not want to lose the first match of the league, they will play defensively and try to share points.

I totally agree there is a chance that Gladbach can be aggressive in a game and can still dominate the score even with Lewandowski on the team, The team of Gladbach is a formidable team that should not be underestimated by Bayern, but Bayern Munich have some new faces that can be an additional asset to the team, but even though Bayern can possibly lose to a Gladbach game, I still support Bayern all the way, as well as Dortmund and Leipzig, These 3 teams can be a formidable team that could make it to the finals, in my opinion.

Starting first few weeks is always a trouble for big clubs, because normally they are expected to win at all times, and yes they do end up losing a few times over course of a season, but at the start they are still expected to win whereas they end up not being like that at all, they end up being a bit disorganized and that is the main cause of the losses at the first games.

I feel like Bayern is a lot better than people expect them to be at the start, let's face it German football is a bit more machine like compared to other leagues and they will not be disorganized like let's say a Spanish club, but it is still a very hard thing to come back after a summer break and still be good like you were at the end of the season, plus there are so many changes from manager to players as well so there will be some getting used to period for them as well.
