Leverkusen's next match are going to be against Bremen home. Leverkusen lost again last week and this one was to Frankfurt 2-1 away. They didn't play good and didn't deserve to win though. I think this time they won't make this mistake again by playing focused and they will win this match clearly.

As in the previous seasons it seems like the battle against relegation will be the most interesting part of the league again.

You bring it to the point. Who still cares about the championship? 95% of it is already clear. And the rest 5% are simply too rare.  Wink
Anyway this is not a new thing to happen and we must accept the fact that bayern munchin is a very strong team compared to the other teams in the bundesliga...bayern beat barcelona with 8 whole goals and i think mainz fans dont have to be sad 😁

Bayern Munich are going to play an away game against Monchengladbach this week. Gladbach are the 7th with 21 points and Bayern are the leader with 33 points now. After having a 4-match bad form, Gladbach got a 1-0 win against Bielefeld on their last match. Bayern have been going awesome for 3 matches. They won these matches by scoring 9 goals and conceding 4 in total. On their last clash at Borussia-Park, Gladbach beat Bayern 2-1. In my opinion, Gladbach will get at least one point here. They could even win too. Bayern defense was alarming on their last match against Mainz. Mainz scored 2 goals from counter-attacks.

Mainz has to fight. And after the first half against Bayern, you could see that they want to. I'm confident that they can do it and will stay in the first Bundesliga.

Yes, they played a good first half. Too bad that it was against Bayern. But when they can repeat that performance they have a decent chance to at least reach the 16th place that would be enough for the releagation playoffs. So I wouldn't say the situation is hopless. Neither for Mainz and not even for Schalke. The other teams like Bielefeld, Köln and Werder Bremen are all not that far away and aren't looking like they would start a winning streak like for example Freiburg did. As in the previous seasons it seems like the battle against relegation will be the most interesting part of the league again.
Schalke maybe have over because still not get point any more and waiting when this club will relegation to second league of bundesliga,  just get new one player so far and I think not enough for Schalke if wanna keep play on Bundesliga next season because they have left many points right now and need take few potential player to give chance for Schalke keep existing on Bundesliga. Without any new payer for Schalke just waiting for this club will relegation.

Indeed Schalke have to take this season more serious now they are loosing their grip in that league. They are suffering from a bad streak and it becoming much easy to win by placing bet against them in ongoing situation. It seems with current form soon they will lost chance to make comeback and in next season they will be out from this league.

Mostly it was , but i guess this season is for now the most intresting from the last few years .
There are so many matches that we dont have expected that there has won the underdog.
This goes on the top to the end of the table and the last years it was mostly clear who will get the things.
The not so big Teams fighting realy good against the big clubs.

It's not like Bayern isn't vulnerable. In all of their 8 last Bundesliga matches they were 0-1 down. And still they haven't lost a single match. They lost points against Bremen and Union but what is Dortmund doing? They aren't consistent at all and right now I wouldn't even be sure that they will reach the top 3 this season. Bayern doesn't play perfect but they don't have to. There is no real contender that is able to challenge them. Right now it looks like only one good half-time (like against Mainz) is still enough for them to win the league.

Dortmund-Wolfsburg match was really delightful. They were really close in terms of their position in the league and I expected a close game of course. The match was really tough for both teams but Dortmund managed to win 2-0 home. Haaland has come back from his injury and he didn't score any goal. But I am really happy to see him playing again. He got some really important chances in the match too but Wolfsburg goalkeeper Casteels was really successful on preventing them.

It is now official. Mainz have confirmed that former player and youth coach Bo Svensson is the new coach.

yes bct_ail ! Mainz moving ever closer to the 2.bundesliga. but now .........Bo Svensson to be new coach of 1. FSV Mainz 05 .but it will still be very difficult for mainz.
the team won't change much, so I think that at the end of the season we'll have to go down to the second Bundesliga.

However, Bayern Munich won 5-2. Yet I would say Mainz played well enough. A team like them which is below on the points table, a formless team, ended the first half 2-0 against a giant team like Bayern. I think this is their biggest achievement for Mainz. I hope Mainz will play better in the upcoming matches. And they will be able to win some matches.

^^ I backed Mainz at over 25/1 to win, so you can imagine how cool it was to see them lead 0-2 at HT.

I can sympathise with you. That's why I avoid watching games I have bet on.
I was shocked when I saw Mainz leading with 2 goals to 0 for Bayern then I was shocked again to find that Bayern destroyed Mainz with 5 goals in the second half. That machine, made in Germany, is unbreakable and so destructive.
Bayern scored goals until now as much as Schalke 0, Mainz, Koln and Bielefeld!
very surprising Mainz performance last night they had a 0-2 lead over Bayern Munich at the start of the first half, but Bayern managed to score 5 goals in the second half and successfully won three points from Mainz, very surprised because Bayern had to miss 0-2 in the first half even though can reverse the position to 5-2. Maybe Bayern need feedback from Mainz to make many goal score and always keep calm if score still zero and begin fighting after loss at the first time.

5 goals in 45 minutes is really awesome for bayern munich...already the team score 44 goal in just 14 match and i believe they will beat all previous years records this season in term of scoring...about the match mainz played the best 45 minutes this season but the socond half run totally in anouther direction

this bundesliga season will most likely see a number of records broken that have been untouchable for several decades... Shocked

Gerd Müller holds the record for top scorer in a season (1971/72) with 40 goals - Robert Lewandowski has already scored 19 goals in 13 games. if RL stays healthy and maintains his form, there's a very good chance he'll score 22 more goals in the remaining 31 games ⚽

tasmania berlin 'still' holds the negative record of winless games from the 1965/66 season - if schalke 04 does not win the game against tsg hoffenheim next weekend, the record is set and can still be further extended by s04 Grin

two records have already been set this season in the bundesliga by the player Youssoufa Moukoko from bvb - at 16 years and 1 day he is the youngest player to have played a bundesliga match and, at 16 years and 28 days, the youngest scorer in the bl

It almost sounds like basketball. Bayern just finds it too easy except for some few fixtures that they always make it seem like they purposely lose just to make the league more fun and fund bookmarkers a little. Upon the fact that they were denied a goal due to an offside offense they still managed to net more 3 goals after that. I'm sure even with a 2 goal lead, Mainz 05 was almost sure they were not going to emerge triumph.
Dortmund on the other hand was a ge I got scared of as they started on an equal strength and weren't competing favourably until they net the first goal. The bundesliga table is looking set already with all top teams where they need to be except for Eintranht Frankfurt and Borussia Moenchengladbach though, they are not far behind. Union Berlin would drop soon.

That was a bizarre game. Trailing 0-2 at half time and then just winning 5-2. that is pure class if you can. Many teams would have dropped their heads.
It is no coincidence that Bayern Munich finishes it like off that.
Its indeed a remarkable comeback from Bayern just within 10 minutes they turn the game around unfortunately Mainz couldn't defend their two goals lead, Bayern actually dominate and took most of the possessions had it been they lost that match it would have been a major upset losing to a relegation battling team despite parading star-studded and experienced squad.
Interestingly RB Leipzig and Leverkusen are mounting pressure on them in topping bundesliga table.
