That sounds like a good idea but then I check the odds for BTTS or over 2.5 goals and they are just too low (@1.42 and @1.46 respectively) to be worth the risk IMHO.

Yes as you say both teams need a win therefore both teams to score the right bet both teams also often do it you can check the head to head
Under 3.5 goals is not a safe bet the majority of each game usually makes up 4 goals especially towards the end of the season all teams play up to reach the target.
