from the reasons you have explained, I can understand that Dortmund really regretted it when they not control the ball well, they even failed to use the opportunity several times and failed to score and I also saw that PSG was actually not that strong, just the midfield and Dortmund back line had more or less gaps in yesterday match which provided a big opportunity for PSG mainstay players to break through Dortmund goal.
and well, I admit that these two teams actually have the same depth of performance but its just a matter of different strategy and tactics and also the quality of Dortmund player is not as strong as last season with several talented players and this season Dortmund seems to be more focused on developing new talents from existing players successfully recruited this season.
Dortmund could be surprised to improve their performance in the Bundesliga, but in the Champions League it is little doubtful if they appear inconsistent again.

Yeah, PSG was the better team but Dortmund showed they can compete. Moving forward this loss might be a good learning experience since it wasn't a bad one and playing in Paris is not that easy.
You must also consider that the referee in this game was just awful and super biased in favor of PSG. I mean come on, some of those decisions were outregious.
But a loss is a loss and they can make good with a win this weekend versus Wolfsburg. You HAVE TO get those 3 points at home. If they loe this one the fans will be even more upset, they can't take that risk.
Fight and win and finally show you want/can compete.
