I like this idea. I've been on Avaaz for some months now, signing petitions and donating money. It would be interesting if they started accepting bitcoin. Here's a question: they will save money on transaction fees but won't they loose money on converting from btc to fiat?

I also thought about starting a Petition on their own website, but that should also include some(but not too much) information.
Now that would be quite funny, I would definitely sign it!

Think that one seems practical enough for people to request if its small change the utility starts to shine much more

OK As Promised I sent a short email to AVAAZ to request them to add the ability to accept Crypto Commodities preferably BITCOIN and LITECOIN.
Ok, thanks. Less work for me Wink
Could you copy your Mail in here? Just wondering what would be a good approach.

SO, the question is: Should we start the petition asap or wait for the first response?

I though that I would find a lot of people to sign it Wink

Yesterday I received an E-Mail from Avaaz: They want my Money for some charity. After taking a quick look at the Website, I realized they are using either Wire/SEPA or PayPal. Since it's mostly Micro Transactions it would be perfect to use BTC.
Now I was thinking about writing them an E-Mail, but I do not really know, what to write them. I am not sure, if I am the right Person for that. If I overflood them with links to Websites nobody might read it. If I give them to less Information, they might not see the advantage. I don't have any experience about how to implement BTC-acceptance on a Website(I am pretty sure, it is quite easy).
Any suggestions on what to write in a first E-Mail?

I also thought about starting a Petition on their own website, but that should also include some(but not too much) information.

If  you really want to give some why paypal is a bad option? And what is micro transaction under $1? so the fee would be just few 10 cents isnt much anyway.
I am not sure, what you want to tell me. I am not saying Paypal is a bad option, just that it would be wise for Avaaz to also use BTC.
I for example, have deleted my Paypal-Account after they didn't let people make transactions to Wikileaks anymore. I think, there are enough people out there, who don't want/can to use the options Avaaz currently provide.
