Bounty was profitable last year, because there were less people mans you get bigger stakes/shares. But now a days, too many people join in a bounty, and you get very little stakes, sometimes it's not worth the hassle, and sometimes, you don't even get the bounty rewards if the manager is not good, it happened to me few times.
I noticed that the twitter, facebook and blogging/youtube bounties have been riddled with cheating so this doesn't help at all, but if the bounty manager is good, then many of the greedy cheaters are weeded out and the stakes are given to the honest people. I have noticed an influx of new people though and it is correct to say in the blogging bounties and youtube video bounties because it is more crowded, the rewards are less, so now you have to work harder to earn what you used to earn, BUT what are still pretty decent are the signature campaigns and some campaigns have limits to how many people they accept, which is great when it comes to signature campaigns as you might get a really decent reward. Also many ICOS collect millions now, which means even with over crowding, you can still sometimes earn decent rewards.
