Like someone has just suggested block folio is a good app to stay up to date with bitcoin and altcoin prices and you can set notifications on it. But my issue with it is that most times the prices differs from coin market cap slightly
I only use BlockFolio to keep track on my crypto currency.
But it would only notify you when it hit the price that you have set not everytime the price changes.
And if want you could do what others have already mention try looking for the one that would suits you well.

There are so many applications that can help you, you can look for it on google playstore, the keyword signal is bitcoin. Just choose a high rate. I hope this helps
I never heard of any app that actually notifies you when the price is going up or down. Actually I never looked for applications like those since I always keep an eye on the price of bitcoins. Probably you there are some apps like those out there. Would be weird if you get notified every time the price goes green and red.

Coinmarketcap apps is the best for me because the notifications available for almost all exchanges and we can select which exchange that we want to know.

There are many applications for that, even most of them probably have this feature because it is the most demanded one. But the problem I faced in the past was that you always need to be connected to internet to get notifications, you can probably get them without internet connection as well.
There were more and more apps for this and majority prefer blockfolio. Here user gets the access to make their own portfolio and get notified upon the price. When one is getting into cryptocurrency usage rather than going behind apps for getting price notifications it is good to go through the market and know what is happening with the market.

Go to your play store or use Google to search for bitcoin Price notification app, you get a bip whenever the price changes either positive or negative direction. And this question have been asked many time just take a look on the forum you will fine answer to what you are looking for.
I'm also interested since I can't monitor the market every hour, it would be good to have the notification in case something is about to happen. Its an alert system to help in trading. It would help you dump and buy when opportunity to profit knocks.

It has been asked many times previously, in what device you want to get the notifications? If you use smartphone then you can use bitcoin checker that you can download on playstore but if you are looking for windows software then I have no ideas about it.
