This is not a smart contract, but you might find it both fun and profitable https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.17667398

Just a couple more days till we launch our next treasure hunt
If you haven't already, go ahead and download the client so you can participate.

We will be using a joint account system along with 'key to image' and 'file to image' features. With the joint account setup we can have multiple participants receive a reward if they solve the treasure hunt.

There is massive potential for this as a form of new marketing campaign tool for companies that wish to duplicate!

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.14462717
Think of something similar to this yet way more complex with potentially multiple images and files. Images with riddles that unlock passwords, or unlock a new image folder, or new website host - the possibilities are endless.

Stick around we will keep you posted of the progress!

i got lost somewhere in the shuffle, going back to square one.  i understand bitcoin and smart contracts. i am mildly confused by this service, but i really missed the getting paid to "learn" part, lol

The fawcet is a few dollars. So you get free coins. Its in a smart contract and we want more people to understand how double deposit escrow contracts work. In the case of the fawcet they are unilateral so only one side is forced (the fawcet). But in a standard double deposit they are unbreakable. Come by to our thread or slack and the guys will help show you how it works.

It will be much better if someone could post a detailed step-by-step guide how to use the platform and get paid.

The OP looks too complicated for normal people.

Yes i agree.

Feel free to use pictures too !

@Banano
Is that a chocolate covered banana ?

You guys didn't click on the link I provided.
Goto:
https://www.youtube.com/user/CryptoWorldNetwork?spfreload=10

Then start the BitBay tutorial section on that page. It starts out as basic as installing the client onto your windows OS.
The video to complete a contract is in the works.

But I can give you a quick rundown:

-After you've got your account set up (see videos) you simply click on the faucet in the marketplace and accept it.

-The counterparty will respond accepting your bid

-Then you confirm and enter contract escrow phase.

-Any questions you have you can communicate with the counterparty through the built in bitmessage (encrypted) chat box.

-Since it's a faucet it's not like you have any obligation on your end of the deal (like paying counterparty or sending an item in mail to counterparty), so you can treat it like a completed contract. So you simply click on the Send Completion Request option.

-Congratulations - you just got paid to learn David Zimbecks Halo client

just followed a few of these tutorials and they are great and easy to follow! Well done

Great idea! I'm going to too!

This coin is a sleeping giant! I own a bit but will be buying more as I can see it's jumping in price as people are becoming aware of what has been created here

Perfect! I have about 91 faucet contracts remaining out of the 100

Any questions you have first check the tutorial video library.

This happens because their preferred contact method is email. You are automatically assigned a Bitmessage address but some people choose email only because its faster. I've considered allowed people without email to contact via Bitmessage. To accept that contract load an email from.one of the supported email providers (Gmail, AOL, outlook, Hotmail etc)

Should I use my main e-mail address?  Does it go out publicly, or just to one person?  Worried about revealing my identity, getting spam etc.

No. We recommend you create an email dedicated just to BitBay

If you have tested the fawset, you might want to move on to a real contract.

photo uploading

Above is a screenshot of binary trades that are offered atm.
You need to join the Binary Options Market to see these contracts. Be aware that it can take a little while from your joining until you see the contracts. But once you have joined the market you will see any new contracts right away.

A little bit of a sell on the announcement, but actually a really decent way for someone to get through the trouble of learning how smart contracts and getting compensated for it. Still looks a little daunting for someone like me and it's not false modesty to say I need things said in layman terms!

OP says a year from 100%, so in reality this might be two years then?

The contracts are 100% it's just there are more templates I'm doing for user friendliness like barter and employment templates. Also pegging takes me time. So yeah 1 year maximum two. I'm very reliable, been working on this for 3 years while turning down other jobs

I just get "Error loading return address" when I try to use the marketplace's faucet...

After I press OK, all the text disappears from the text entry boxes.

Looks like a very interesting concept, will definetly give it a try. I'm interested anyway in smart contracts and Ethereum, since it seems to be more advanced than bitcoin technology.
I think it is something worth learning. At the moment, it seems that the media and people do not give much importance to smart contracts, but there is a lot of potential that, probably in less than a decade, this may be the next big thing. I'm not sure if Ethereum is the right way to do this, though. There are a number of scalability issues that can make smart contracts unviable if the platform becomes popular.

This is why the way we do it here is the most practical useful case of smart contracts. Since 2 party escrow eliminates all middle men and i can think of like 100 use cases for getting rid of 3rd parties each one good for humanity. Its more realistic than Ethereum, it can be used now in many industries. The key is the double deposit escrow technique prevents theft and deception making it so both sides are forced to honor their word. No fancy Ethereum contracts required!
