if you have vision. That can happen, in 2009 when bitcoin was born and was not accepted by the world. 1000 btc can not buy 1 bread. Of course, if anyone kept the year 1000 btc, wow. 1 billionaire

I scraped together the little money I have and dove into bitcoin. My ambition is to make money trading altcoins and keep a bitcoin reserve. Can I even make it anywhere starting with such a small amount of money?

Like every investment, caution is necessary.  If it is your first time buying crypto, Our advice is for you to start in a somewhat small scale, and buy not just Bitcoin, but other leading Alt-coin, thus spreading your investment and minimizing the risk.

25$ will buy you a very small fraction of bitcoin. You can start with it and try to find other ways to earn more bitcoin. The forum is full of ways to earn bitcoin or altcoins depending on your skills.

Whatever money you have, you can buy bitcoin. It all depends on your intention, expensive price is not a reason to buy bitcoin.

First of all when it comes to bitcoins you don't need to buy a whole bitcoin to benefit. Sometimes just buying and holding is good as it may go up in value. I will tell you a true story. I had bought 40$ worth of bitcoin back in 2015 from cex . Well i forgot about that account till about 7 months ago when i got curious if they would do cloud mining.  Needless to say when i logged in and seen my $40 had grown into almost $1,000.00 i was happy.

$25 is relatively low investment start. If you will invest in that small amount on bitcoin and hold it most probably you'll need to wait for long period of period before it will gain $500-$1000 profit. Lower investment will gain lower profit and the more youre spending high investment the possibilty of hight profit may achieve also. I suggest that instead of buying bitcoin today, its good idea to look and buy altcoin with a potential to compete with the other top coins at a lower price.

Just do cost averaging. Buy $25 worth every week if you could, or every month if money is tight. You will have a large investment in no time.

To begin with, $25 is a good sum. Just try first with altcoins. When you invest into crypto, start monitoring the market, always check the changes of your alts. Deal with several cryptos that cost less, but that are promising. Check for Cardano. Then step by step start dealing with BTC.  Grin

It's is all a question of how long you want to wait for that 25 to become more. If you really desperate to make quick money it is probably not the best way to do it but if you want to wait and hold it could be worth it.

Just find a Bitcoin ATM, buy $25 worth of Bitcoin, then hold ( hodl ) it for 5 years.

I would advise against this, sure it may turn in to something like $500 but that's your cap. If you are able to trade successfully you could turn it in to way more than $500. You can start that small for sure there's no reason you can't.

Maybe it could happen reaching that value, but I don't think smaller capital to start will gain at faster returns because you will have to wait for another uprising price. Small investments could not generate bigger profit within a short period of time you will encounter more struggles prior reaching your goals in order to control your decisions. Don't panic and if ever you have another excess money you should have an additional investments in order to make your capital increase also.

I don't agree, it's actually much easier to profit on small investments because you can not really influence the price at all and your orders will easily get swallowed up by any variance. If you trade BTC to alts you also get to profit from bitcoin increases anyway as long as you're always growing or maintaining your BTC amount.

That's a small amount but I still believe that you can still earn money from that. But you still have to learn more about this great technology, spend more time on reading here and forum, save money as you can and for sure big profit will come.

Yeah it's actually too small but to think it's also a money. In investment there's no small nor big amount as long as you're dedicated and willing to take all the risks and you can make it grow then you're good to go. Just learn how to manage your investment, feed yourself with knowledge that you can surely use here.

Only spend what you can afford to lose, is a great motto. If you're on your last $25, I wouldn't suggest it. If it's just life is tight, but you can lose that money then sure. I mean obviously you're not going to make a million dollars in 5 days, but you will (if the price goes up) still make a profit the same as everyone else.
My other half invested A$1k the other day, today he has a holding worth A$1130. $130 profit isn't a lot to some, to others risking 1k is a big risk.
If you invested the same day as him, you would have a $3 profit, which isn't a lot to some people, but to you that might be heaps.

Yes you can start trading with 25$! the real question, are you willing to lost your investment? without proper knowledge, your 25$ will be gone quickly.

You can buy few altcoin with that amount, don't worry the quantity or portion which your going to buy will still remain, even the price are going to drop.

On my first trial with trading, because of my fear and lack of knowledge, I lost almost 100 dollar.

Learn basic knowledge before jump on trading.

It does not matter the amount of money you are starting with, its the time you are starting. The same $25 you making reference to now, this time some say 8years ago could get you more than one btc but not today. So, if $25 is what you can afford, just go into it but don't expect the returns of someone who put in $100, $150 or even $1550 because that would be greediness which might lead you to seeking solution where it does not exist.

I totally agree with you
Small amounts will not make rich with a short time. I just want to give advice to OP
you should spend more time and dig deeper knowledge of bitcoin. good luck, btw experience and knowledge is the most important part

Not anywhere, more over there: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=224.0 you posted inside the wrong board.
The amount mentioned is too small, of course, for everything. Maybe he can stuff those pences into electricity, mining some altcoin?

You start right now and the amount is too low, but I understand you don't have money. I suggest you that check bounties as people are paying $10 in BTC for small works and hold this money for a couple of months. You will understand everything if you read this forums regularly.

The price is too high and investing such small amount is very hard to expect in huge returns. I also suggest don't invest unless you afford to lose.

As much as it seems like a decent idea to simply hold $25 in bitcoin for the next couple years and take the profit. If you are dealing with, in my opinion, anything less than $1000 then I don't think its worth it. Yes if you could put $500 into bitcoin and it  would still make you a decent amount when it doubles or goes higher but the time it would take to do this you could simply grind and make as much side money as possible to invest more money into bitcoin for bigger returns.
