I just tried this on Windows with bfgminer 3.7.0 and --http-port 8332

No Go!!

Microsoft Windows [Version 6.3.9600]

C:\Users\7queue\Downloads\bfgminer>bfgminer --http-port 8332
 [2013-11-29 15:01:35] bfgminer: --http-port: unrecognized option

Well, I don't use Windows to mine, so I never tried this on that platform, seems it isn't there on Windows???

Proxy mode is only available in the 32bit version... not 64bit.

I'll pull it also and see if I can get it going on my system.

Proxy mode is not included in the 64bit version..... only the 32bit. It took me a few days to find that out.

No, that's a good thing. It'll probably converge after a while, to around 97-99 percent depending on power quality and cooling.

Good to see you got it working. Connected with slush's proxy?

Luke-Jr says --http-proxy only works on Win32 not Win64...
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/old-bfgminer-3100-modular-asicfpga-gbtstrtm-rpc-maclnxw64-antu1-drb-168174

So on Win64 go with mining_proxy.exe from Slush, I have it running but is showing errors, even thought the blade and account show activity.

With the mining_proxy.exe I tried this with success: It is running right now...

Quote
mining_proxy.exe -o stratum+tcp://us1.eclipsemc.com -p 8337 -oh 192.168.0.3 -gp 8332 -cu username -cp password

Blades configuration should stay the same

Plan B?

http://mining.bitcoin.cz/stratum-mining#download

Grab the proxy, second link under Downloads then go to the instructions they have.

I'll pull it also and see if I can get it going on my system.

There's only two ways to run a blade. Point the blade at your pool's Getwork, or point the blade at a proxy and point the proxy at your pool's stratum.

Also the pool might take up to ten minutes to report the additional hashrate. Make sure the blade's user credentials are correct for your pool account.

Wouldn't I have to put something like this--http://localhost 192.168.0.x-8332 ?

No that won't allow the blades to connect to your computer.

Usually on Windows you have to configure firewall settings to allow inbound ports.

Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Firewall\Allowed apps -> [Allow another app...] button
browse for bfgminer.exe
Add it and select Private

bfgminer.exe needs inbound tpc port 8332 but the above should work if I'm remembering correctly.

If your shortcut is closing you need to open a command prompt and copy the shortcut command to it and issue it to see what error message if any is showing.

If you have added --http-port 8332

Then your blade settings should look something like this given your computer that bfgminer is running on has the IP 192.168.0.3 and your router IP 192.168.0.1

Because you have to run bfgminer in proxy mode for the blade.... you are better off running the usb's on another system.

This is bullshit.  Rather than giving wrong advice, try not saying anything at all.

Well lets see if he gets it working...

I run my BFGMiner in proxy mode too, works for for blades. Ignore the part where stacksmasher says to run the usb on a different system.

What bram says is correct, but I use a .conf file for all my settings. It should get the same end result.

Create a bat file  called something like autominer.bat with with the following command:

bfgminer --http-port 8332 -S erupter:all -o stratum+tcp://stratum.mining.eligius.st:3334 -u YOUR-BITCOIN-ADDRESS  -p ANY-PASSWORD

save the file.

execute the file.

It will pickup all the erupters and the blades.

Enjoy

I am a complete newb to all this so understand that when you reply I finally got my blades configuration page I would like to add the stratum from my pool into the blades configuration and use BFG Miner to mine because I also have 4 usb block erupters connected using BFG miners now I just need to figure out how to connect my blade.
