This is an opportunity for btc developers to figure out a way for people to send small amounts of btc without high fees ,if they can't do it what's the point of Bitcoin ?

Problems with bitcoin :
1. You can't mine it with personal pc
2. You can't send small amounts of btc do to high fees
3. You can't do smart contracts using btc
4. Blockchain increases in size over time and costs more energy to run a node or to mine it  and so on ...

If someone would pay me to research solutions ,i would gladly do it , free work i don't do as i got to eat ,pay utilities etc.

1. You can't print money with your home printer. Same thing. No big problem Smiley
2. You can send small amounts. More about lightning network here: https://github.com/lnbook/lnbook  (Yes, it is a book on github! )
3. BTC smart contract: time lock, multisig ... if you don't believe me watch for yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CRI_n6MyUW0
4. You just download bitcoin core and wait for it to sync... and you have a node Smiley) (more or less)

Consider those links as a vouch copy Smiley Tho might need a little more that 5 seconds to read them and hopefully understand something

If a crypto or a token can't be used by a kid or a grandma with a cellphone to buy basic stuff ,that crypto/token is doomed . (low liquidity)

The whole crypto space needs to be secure and UI/UX is slightly more complicated. Wallets and systems are getting more basic and user friendly but it's not for everyone. Many still struggle to make a Revolut transfer, pay with sms etc. Grandma might need to stick to what she knows (there are exceptions tho)

Anyway... good luck with your business ! Click on the links if you want to learn. If you only want $0.04 just ignore !

1.So what you are saying let's waste global energy and put more CO2 in the atmosphere to mine cryptos ...
2.Lighting network it's not direct on bitcoin ,it's a second layer ,means the transactions are not on the bitcoin blockchain it self.
3.Bitcoin will die before they do it we tried to do it when i worked as lead developer for stib,co but we did not have enough time and budget to complete research. We even tried atomic swaps we failed do to fact eth and btc different  ...sure there is wbtc but not a real atomic swap. Most people just cheat when they say they do atomic swaps, smart contracts on btc ,bitcoin was never designed for this.
4.Minimum Requirements  : 200 gigabytes of free disk space, accessible at a minimum read/write speed of 100 MB/s. (today 200gb ,tomorrow 1 petabyte)

Have you ever asked your self what will happen when there is no more bitcoins to be mined ? If no one to mine how will verify transactions ?

It's just not designed right for real life use.

This is not  my business ,i am a web developer ,i skipped 2 jobs interviews in another city do to fact we are stuck (coronavirus) ,now i wait for pandemic to pass and i look for freelancer work to pass time and make some money.

For a developer, that's disappointing. You have a few years of Bitcoin scaling solutions to catch up on.

If a crypto or a token can't be used by a kid or a grandma with a cellphone to buy basic stuff ,that crypto/token is doomed . (low liquidity)

The only thing Bitcoin is good for now is  if you do illegal stuff and want to move money across borders... or for drugs, weapons ,illegal casinos etc

But this is discussion for another topic . If you want me to visit your site for 5 seconds send me pm with payment method and website link you want me to visit.

Pay the btc fee and i will gladly accept btc .
You're going to want to read Fees are low, use this opportunity to Consolidate your small inputs!: Bitcoin dust is almost worthless, because of the fees it takes to use it again. When fees were high, I've seen many topics from people who had been collecting (faucet) dust for a long time, and realized they couldn't spend any of it.

I removed btc as payment option
In that case you should move (bottom-left) this topic to the Altcoin boards. Only Bitcoin-related services are allowed on the Services board.

That's exactly where the Lightning Network comes in Smiley

1. Over 74% of bitcoin mining is powered by renewable energy

2. Yes, LN is a second layer protocol, but transactions happen ON THE SAME BLOCKCHAIN !

How are bitcoins on the Lightning Network different from on-chain bitcoins?

They are exactly the same coins. There are no Lightning Network tokens. The only difference is that bitcoins are stored in multi-signature addresses and transactions are settled between two parties without broadcasting anything to the blockchain (except when opening and closing the channel).

3. Bitcoin blockchain is not very smart contract friendly, true, but it can be done (might not be worth it, but is doable) https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/yes-bitcoin-can-do-smart-contracts-and-particl-demonstrates-how

Also atomic swap can be achieved using LN : https://bitcoinmagazine.com/articles/atomic-swaps-how-the-lightning-network-extends-to-altcoins-1484157052

4. Buy 1 petabyte SSD Cheesy ... or 50 Seagate 20TB HDD (supposed to come out late this year)

What will happen when all bitcoins are mined ? What happens in 2141 ? I guess one can power up their personal sub-atomic particle generator to mine some transactions for sunday beer-night-out Smiley)))

Not designed for real life ? Did you actually click on any of the links in my post ?

1.Send me link to BLN also send 0.04 cents to my eth addr 0xA01F32b1898Ea5c0079997D28bF00D441Ad0883c or pm me if you want my paypal email or btc and i will post here screenshot that i visited after you send payment.
I don't use (or trust) centrally controlled Ethereum.

OP, you misinterpreted LoyceV's comment. It's a sarcastic reply.
Only slightly sarcastic, but also informative.

In fact, you should tip him if he posts a link to an article explaining what LN is  Smiley
No need to tip me for that Smiley

If you are serious about your offer then you should think of accepting LN payements. If bitcoin price goes above 7000$ you will not be able to receive 0.04$ worth of btc (dust transactions wont be relayed).
Correct. At the moment, BlueWallet is my favourite LN wallet. As a learning experience, if smartcontracts100 posts a LN payment request for 627 sat, I'll gladly pay it (after I've funded my LN wallet in a bit).

That's going to be a lot of screenshots.

LN LoyceV suggest may be best solution
Based on smartcontracts100's reply, I get the feeling he doesn't know what Bitoin Lightning Network is. Normally, I'd post a link with information, but he'll charge me $0.04 if I do Tongue

smartcontracts100, did you consider that the price of your service is very low which in this case means that the price of your service is 620 satoshi, and that fee is much higher than that (in case someone buy only 1 view)? This only makes sense if someone buys 100 visits, but is there any sense that you visit same site 100 times in a day from same IP?

Suppose you have 100 users, and they each buy 1 visit and pay you 600 satoshi for it - When you try to spend the total amount, you will pay a very large fee due to the large number of inputs.

I am not sure about ETH transaction, but this will not work for BTC or PP, fees are much bigger than price of your service, and LN LoyceV suggest may be best solution - or set minimum amount of visits at few $.

The fee customer takes care of it , as long as i get 0.04 cents / website visit in my wallet i will visit that website ,in eth he can set gas to minimum , for btc i don't think anyone will use for 1-2 visits (i added btc as a option) , in paypal last customer sent exact amount with no fee .

Paypal received without fee

Do you accept Bitcoin Lightning for these payments? If so, I'll pay you $0.04 in Bitcoin Lightning (currently 627 satoshis) if you visit http://loyce.club/archive/members/277/2779504.html for 5 seconds Tongue

I'm doing this for 2 reasons: Promote Lightning Network, and I'm intrigued by the service you offer.

Note: My LN wallet is currently empty, I'll fund it later today. No rush with the payment request Smiley

how ever send links to illegal stuff , i will report him/her to the cops  ,i am also a web developer and cyber security geek ...

I didn't say go to any illegal sites, I said Not Safe For Work sites.  Big difference.  I'm still not sure what you're hoping to achieve with this thread, a page scraper will spend less than five seconds at a site and I don't imagine you're going to actually count to five then close the browser page.

...and I never said Porn either...

Sites such as gambling or political are also Not Safe For Work

Those are a few other terms and conditions you need to include in your announcement. How are you going to report them to the cops if you even don't have any well defined terms of service?
