Gifted wife with bitcoin money on birthday and wife happily gifted handmade bitcoin logo

Almost every year I celebrate my wife's birthday. This year too I celebrated my wife's birthday but it felt different from previous birthdays for me and my wife too. My wife's birthday was on 20/12/2023. I was very busy these two days for which I could not do the post but I got time today so I did the post.

This year I gifted my wife a hair straightener for her birthday with my invested bitcoins which cost not too much just $20. I have about $200 worth of invested bitcoins from which I spent about $85 on my wife's birthday gift and other stuff. But my wife is very happy to receive this gift from me because I gave her bitcoin money. I told my wife about bitcoin a long time ago she knows and understands well when it comes to bitcoin. He also said to invest in bitcoin with me but because he didn't have enough money he couldn't invest in bitcoin but I continue to invest in bitcoin sometimes buy some amount of bitcoin and try to hold for a long time maybe will continue in future.

My wife was happy to receive my bitcoin money gift and she gifted me bitcoin logo which I think is very beautiful because she made it with her own hands very hard just to gift me. Many may not like it. But after I gave him the gift, he stayed up all night and made me this handmade bitcoin logo as a reminder that I gave him a birthday gift in bitcoins.

I want everyone's prayers for my family and lastly a big thanks to Satoshi who created bitcoin and bitcoin forum. Maybe if he didn't create bitcoin we wouldn't know about bitcoin or even invest in it.

OP, firstly I congratulate your wife for the celebration of her birthday, no doubt there is freedom of speech here but I don't think it is for you to bring a gift you gifted your wife won't be public, i know the message you are passing accord to the community but I think it is not right this way, but the did has been done, as for the happiness in you, I want it to continue, your investment has benefited you so much be it in a long run or short run, the logo gifted to you by you wife was as a result of the happiness the money use in getting the gift for her is from bitcoin sales, I advice you to accept it as an encouragement a wife that meant well for the husband.

Judging from the post and some interpretations in the thread, you spent some BTC on buying a hair straightener, right? So you didn't literally give her BTC, you used some BTC to buy this thing?
It's hard to read the post when a lot of times the op is saying "he" either when meaning "she" (wife) or when talking about himself... I also found it weird that you celebrate your wife's birthday "almost every year" because I thought every year makes more sense.
In any case, I'm happy it worked out for both of you, with you using BTC to buy her a present, and her making a BTC logo.

Im not entirely sure, but I think the money he gave to his wife came from his Bitcoin investment. Perhaps next time, he could consider giving her Bitcoin directly so that she can experience being a holder of Bitcoin and better understand it.

Let's focus on the positive side. OP deserves praise for putting a lot of effort into celebrating their wife's birthday. That's a really kind and thoughtful gesture that shows how much they care.

I wish all the best to both of you. It's good you celebrated your wife's birthday with bitcoin earnings. I thought you gifted Bitcoin, but I clearly understood when I read the full post that you bought a gift with your earnings from Bitcoin. However, I feel a direct Bitcoin gift would be more memorable; I mean, gift some Bitcoin to her wallet. Since it's already past, you may plan for the next birthday. A bitcoin gift might give a good return in the near future as well, which would be special for both of you. Anyway, you did good and appreciate your wife's gift, which is BTC writing and logo.
That's also my first assumption based on the title alone. However, I agree with you that probably by next time, it will be more valuable if the real btc will be given to his wife. Not only it's a good investment, but it will also be a good retirement in the future. I believe your wife will be very happy for that knowing both of you have higher knowledge about bitcoin.

For now, plan it early so you can save btc as much as you can. But regardless if it's big or small amount, that will still be huge in the future once she decides to hold it for couple of years.

I really agree with your statement! You are truly a sincere person. As you said, maybe for some people the gift is not special but what makes it special is because it is handmade and hard work from the husband to make his wife happy on her birthday. OP once said that his wife was so happy that she even made a Bitcoin logo to remind her of the gift from her husband. Even though the OP did not give his wife a wallet containing BTC, at least his wife was informed and taught about investing in BTC. Hopefully one day you will have the money to invest there!
That's what people call appreciation for the things that the person have done to other person no matter the size and value of what they give or receive. As I explained before, it is not about the beauty of the gift but the action that the person has made. This is a bit similar to the saying "the beauty is in the eye of the beholder". What I can say to others who doesn't appreciate the small things is not worth giving your time or your effort for them as they didn't even appreciate it at all.

It's not about what gift it is because what matters the most is the gesture of giving the gift. I don't like the gift but I like the thought of doing it just to give you something after receiving a gift from you on birthday and also the reason where you get the money which is from your investment. As I have said, I don't like the give but still would keep it if I were you because the effort of your wife to make it and the thought of giving you that as a thank you of celebrating her birthday. Once again, it's not the value of the gift but the thought of doing it and also thanking the community if that's what you mean.

First of all, I would like to say happy birthday to your wife even though it might be late already. After reading your post OP, I could say that you and your wife must be lucky with each other as you can appreciate every effort and gift you gave to each other which is very sweet. Well, I think you are concerned about the holdings I mean you wouldn't have mentioned it in the first place if it isn't a big deal. Just enjoy every money you have with your loved ones, cause that is one of the reasons why we would like to have financial freedom by just simply investing with Bitcoin, to afford everything we like, celebrate, etc. Remember that you started from nothing and your wife is the one by your side through the ups and downs. I like how she put effort into giving you something plus the one that you love doing which is Bitcoin.

We have one life to live so we need to spend it wisely. We must use our time and resources to make ourselves and our family members happy. It is good to know that your wife was happy to receive what you could afford for her birthday. And she even went to the extent of also giving you a gift to appreciate your effort. Happy birthday to your wife and I pray that next year's celebration will be better.

Honestly, I see the forum as a big family. We cry together about the death of a grandmother unknown to us, and congratulate someone else’s wife. Grin
I couldn't help but laugh when I read this sentence in your post. We are indeed members of one community and will keep showing love to each other with words of encouragement and congratulations even when we don't have any means of verifying some of the news.

Glad that you're enjoying the celebration besides the cliche part that your biggest gift is that you're together celebrating that special day, the fact that you've incorporated bitcoin in your celebration is one of a kind and I don't think there's no gift in the world that will top that when it comes to value because it's made with love. Don't say that negative bullshit that not many may not like it because I don't think it's true, sure there's some that are going to constructively criticize you but don't let it make you falter, and those that genuinely hate this display of celebration of bitcoin, they're just jealous that you've got a loving and supportive partner.

First my best regards and love to your family. Happy birthday to your wife. Both of you are very talented here especially your wife is very talented. OP you are very lucky to have your wife just as your wife is lucky to have you. OP you stick with Bitcoin hope you can give your wife something better next birthday and she will give you something better. If you can make your wife happy by selling bitcoin investments, you better make your wife happy by selling bitcoin investments. It's every husband's job to try his best to keep his wife happy even by selling bitcoins if necessary.

0P, you must be a loving and caring man n you wife is very lucky to have someone like you as her husband. You did well to celebrate her birthday for her with partof your bitcoin and she also showed you love back by reciprocating to give you a hand made bitcoin write up, because that is not bitcoin logo.

Assuming you kept your bitcoin till next year and use it to celebrate a bigger birthday than this because by then bitcoin price might have hit $100k, and maybe she would have done something much better than only bitcoin write up. Don't sell your bitcoin anymore, try to hodli and have an emergency funds prepared to take care of any expenses that might arise.

Happy belated birthday to your wife and a big congratulations to her.

OP, you probably understand that when posting this topic, you will encounter a lot of criticism. I won't be unique if I say that the purpose of this thread is merit hunting. Let us all tell you where and what we use our bitcoins that we exchange for fiat. Are you really interested in this? Now that we are waiting for the New Year, maybe we will create a roll call of who gave what gifts to whom.
But seriously, OP, if you are married, young, and your family decided to go with Bitcoin, teach your wife. Let her join the forum, read, and help you develop. Perhaps your young family will receive even more bonuses instead of drawings on foam plastic.

Honestly, I see the forum as a big family. We cry together about the death of a grandmother unknown to us, and congratulate someone else’s wife. Grin

Happy birthday to your wife. The gift (bitcoin logo) is beautiful, its just needs a little improvements, maybe if you will give her more bitcoin (soon) it will improve drastically Tongue

Looks like a simple house yet a happy family, that's what it make the best. Treasure your wife, your family and your bitcoin.

I also don’t know understand why she gave you a btc logo gift.
You will soon, if you have a loving husband/wife Tongue

@OP best thing you can do after this is to educate her on how to secure bitcoin, basic things on how bitcoin works and what's the benefit of having bitcoin.

Happy birthday to your wife OP. It's a good thing that you actually both share the love for bitcoin. Bitcoin may be complicated at first, but when you come to understand it well, you will realize that bitcoin is very precious to hold. I hope you will grow your bitcoins together and for me that's very possible as long as you keep supporting each other most especially when it comes to finances that bitcoin is mostly concern about.

However, since you gifted your wife with bitcoin, then you must teach her as well how to secure his bitcoin and hold it for long term. Bitcoin will likely to gain its huge potentials when it's safely hold for years in a secured wallet.

Happy birthday to her and it is so amazing giving your wife gift that she really appreciated with all her heart. Bitcoin has been a big treasure to many of us and if not for Bitcoin, we would have not been here discussing about the wonders of Bitcoin.
I believe as you have gifted her what she really admire to have, she might gift you more than you would expect this season of love.
Let's keep promoting and taking about Bitcoin so that those that had been pessimistic about Bitcoin would see reasons of investing.

People around and love us know what our likes and dislikes are, I often experienced this when I received a cake on my birthday with a Bitcoin logo or a birthday cake with a Bitcoin design because they know I value and love Bitcoin.

The same as OP, because you know that your wife loved Bitcoin so much that's why she gifted you Bitcoin.
I know how Bitcoin helped us regarding financial matters that's why we value it so much, I'm happy to hear your story that I experienced too.

I hope you know will about Bitcoin and how to keep it in a secure place, next time, you can buy a hardware wallet where to keep your Bitcoin.

Isn't it a little strange if you tell something like this to the public, sorry, have you run out of ideas to create a topic?

Birthdays should be a happy occasion for both of you but just giving your wife a bitcoin logo I think is a bit ridiculous, you should give your wife bitcoin in a personal wallet lol

I really hope that your relationship with your family continues to be good, as a fellow forum member, that's all I can say, always make my wife happy with the good achievements you get, especially investing in Bitcoin, continue to improve it.

It is more of a thrill that our OP 's wife didn't frown or reject the BTC gift given to her, because if she had, no matter the good intentions at first, it would be meaningless to even talk about it.
I think women love cash gifts or investment gifts more too, because it is one time where they have control over their finances mostly if they are dependent on the man to take of them and the household.

Am also convinced you wouldn't have bought such a gift if you hadn't spent much time educating her on the subject of BTC or perhaps she is the one with the motivation and whip on your back to invest in BTC for the future benefits.

We shouldn’t put everything that we do in our personal on the net. Just because bitcoin is somehow related in a particular event doesn’t mean it’s worth creating a topic on bitcoin discussion about it. If you had not bought the gifts with your bitcoin hodlings (which I think isn’t the best, you could have used fiat to buy the gifts) would you have started this topic? I also don’t know understand why she gave you a btc logo gift.

Don't let others control your BTC -> self custody
I'm not hating, but you guys are funny. She gave you a piece of styrofoam with the word bitcoin on it!
Just think about that. You give someone a gift and that person gives you back a piece of styrofoam with the name of that gift, like you decided to give your woman an iphone and the next day she gives you back a piece of wood with the word iphone written on it. I'd probably frame that and show it to friends when they come to visit saying it was the best gift I ever got from my wife Tongue
