From others I know you can only put timings to 1500MHz and it will work even above 2000MHz. But timing for these type of Hynix are pretty bad... max what they could have with my timings is around 30MH/s, but I have much better results with strap for Monero it gets even above 900H/s with really great power consumption.

I love the part where you say *MY* timings even though it was proven that you know nothing about timings.

Actually, Mattthev is good, despite your oppinion.

With his timings I got in this new card version 0.2 mhs than any other timing around, and that works even better when undervolted.

this is new card version, which had 1500 original timings only, and applied bios from old version with his timings. i choose 2100 because won 0.5 mhs for 1 error an hour. and the best part is that is undervolted. at 2050 there are no errors, but less 0.5 mhs

My gigabytes are 2150+ without errors and doing pretty much 30.5+ (on linux) at 0.83/0.85V effective voltage, VRM voltage is ~0.815V.

I have 6 of these cards coming (ordered before I knew it was a black sheep) I would be willing to help with any testing.

I created my account just to post in this thread because I'm having the same problem getting 22-23 mh stock with the gigabyte rx 580 8g (my gtx 1060s tweaked with afterburner without bios flash getting up to 24mh).

Any attempt to use afterburner to make even minor clock or power adjustments to the 580 IMMEDIATELY crash the card.

Have gone through multiple Polaris bios editor editions, all show only 1500 max timings.

WTF

Timings 1500+ are missing from the location you are looking for them. Using umr I see pretty much post 1500 timings(2000 actually) realtime. There are hidden timings in command tables Smiley

i think 29.6 is very nice too Smiley

not sure, this new version for this gets 4 gpu memory errors in 20h.

30 mhs will get errors. best i could get was 29.6 with less or no errors after restarts.

Are you using the new bios (MING-8GD/F11/058A) or the old one with "normal" straps?

Replied in PM.

Latest test is 17 hours with no memory error and 29.6 MHs. Now In went further and got 30. 1 error after few minutes. I think I know where to go, but i need to bios edit again, maybe today.

I modded and now I get 29.6 with no errors after 4 hours, undervolted (new card version which had only 1500 original). Still testing. There is only one guy who is testing with me for the best setting... none is interested as it seems.
I've offered free timings for testing, did you wrote me via e-mail? I think not. I've got few e-mails regarding this but they have different Hynix memory and only want free timings Cheesy

these errors you talk about, are they in HWInfo ?
If you get 1 error/hour that is nothing.

this bios does not contain straps after 1500, it's not that pbe is not showing them, it's just there are no straps after 1500 in the table they should be.
I got a feeling that this is one step they took to move miners off their gaming cards.
The data is probably there but maybe hardcoded in the command table Cheesy
I haven't explored this bios, but you really think they hide straps after 1500MHz? Cheesy I tought they only not use straps after that. So if you change timing for 1500Mhz and OC  more than 1750MHz or what the next step is it gets stock timing again?

i don't have this card but i do hope you are right Cheesy
If i were them i would do this, to scare away miners from these cards, and force them to buy miner models.

@doktor83, shows in HWiNFO, gpu memory errors.

If 2150 it's many many more.

You say to ignore 1 gpu memory error an hour (aproximate) ? Won't brake gpu memory module in the future ? no one says the impact of errors in mining.

that is with 2100 (from 2000 stock), using a modded bios from previous cards, with +1750 timings ...3F17 taken from aorus, I think
