If the IP is previously banned for evil activities and such, you have to pay a small fine to continue using the forum with the same IP.
AFAIK the 'evil' system is only put into place when registering accounts, not logging into them. Provided you register your account on an IP with no 'evil' then you shouldn't be affected.
Interesting, what is a reason for the system to hand over evil activity "points"? Is it when you make use of an IP that has been used previously to register an account? Or is it due to you signing up through proxies?
When a user is banned, all IP addresses associated with that account are assigned additional 'units of evil' (that depreciate over time). The idea is that if many accounts associated with the same IP address have been banned, then the person behind that IP address is a spammer, and it will become expensive for the spammer to register additional accounts.

Just a point with regards to ip banning. I use public WiFi most of the time (it's a project of mine). There must be at least 5 different IPs associated with my account here.
Unfortunately, there is nothing much you can do.If the IP is previously banned for evil activities and such, you have to pay a small fine to continue using the forum with the same IP.Happens most of the time when you use free vpn services. In your case, the possibilities are remote.

Its been almost two weeks since I didn't see any of his posts , should I close this thread or leave it open In case someone decide to report his posts again ? the question is for Lauda or any other moderator.
A few days ago I reported his thread on services section where he was trying to advertise his forum pay per post campaign.
I am sure that he is still lurking around and he will start spamming again soon.

There's no harm in leaving it open for now. I don't think that we've seen the last of girlbtc, so the thread still may have a purpose. I prefer using a singular thread rather than people opening multiple for the same issues.

Indeed. I've noticed the latest report just a few minutes ago.
Looks like they don't even bother to add anything to it at this point.
The last post I reported was pretty plain, their url as topic and this "respect and you will be respected" bullshit as content.
It's starting to remind me of the Sports-stream spammers or the product backlink stuff.

In that case, it would be better if we find the IP of the owner or the person whose making multi's and ban it from creating new accounts.  Undecided
That doesn't really help when someone has access to a lot of proxies.

He's still around, with more accounts and a slightly different grammar, but moderation seems to be on top of him for the most part... Not sure what he wants to achieve beyond giving (even more) work to the moderation.

I was under the impression that bitcointalk was banned in china, so users had to use a proxy to use this site anyway, so a IP ban would be really useless?

correct, if a user is using VPN he would have different IP everytime he connects to a certain site so its useless. I know girlbtc.com is using VPN to connect here, i joined their skype giveaway thing few weeks ago and he admitted that he always use VPN when visiting the forum so IP ban is not possible for him

Is everyone sure that it is the owner only whose behind all this spamming.? Coz sometimes it's like let's kill this site's reputation or kill it before it gets opened.  Undecided
Girlbtc (a chinese user) got banned a little while ago and announced their new forum. Ever since accounts with similar english skills using chinese characters have been complaining about this forum and promoting girlbtc's.

It would be a big surprise to me at least if it wasn't them.

In the following quotes, I cannot tell if ETFbitcoin is being sarcastic or not. For those of us (probably all) that have seen the depth of knowledge of individuals on the forum, this should seem justified.

So, they keep their promise which says "We promise ,We are open ,we never delete posts ,never ban people ,make bitcoin forum the way it should be ( Open, Free, Public) Smiley"
I hope people who run bot in this forum will move to girlbtc forum because they have good promise.

You can't possibly serious about people moving to girlbtc's forum, right? It would just become an absolute shitshow of spam and scam attempts if literally no posts were deleted and no people were banned. Imagine a message board with no moderation - things would go haywire. This "free speech" is way too free and given the pseudo-anonymity of the internet, one can simply post anything without consequences.

(Serious part) Maybe we'll have to add a new rule? Like making a deposit to the forum when making an account, and return them after they have made 1 post and without getting banned (meaning that the post was OK). This will stop the spammers while keeping the real users here.
I think that's bad idea, especially for newbie or people who don't have much bitcoin. Maybe we should add notice not to trust newbie/new user easily.

1. It's a given.
2. It's there already in the form of private messages. Private messages from Newbies will result in a red notice: "!!! WARNING: This user is a newbie. If you are expecting a message from a more veteran member, then this is an imposter !!!"

Additionally, I don't really mind the fact that people are scammed by newbies and Ponzi schemes. Caveat emptor, and if they're too ignorant or stupid to be vigilant, then they'll be scammed and learn from the lesson. The amount they are scammed serves to pay for it.
