Hypostatization, I don't know if anyone has really thanked you for this. It's not often you see this. Thank you. Hopefully this will generate some more interest and activity with XRP. It has a solid foundation, and I believe it is under utilized. I slack off and didn't do much since I set up my account in June, but I will be changing that, thanks to you.

Ok not a scam and figured it out

Go to convert and put 219 for XRP and convert which will take the 5$ and turn it into 219 XRP, not untrust and convert it back to usd

You requested to convert 5.0309 USD to 219 XRP
You bought 219 XRP for 4.9894 USD. (price: 0.0227).

Good job! Ripple can be a little confusing. If you have an account at bitstamp, you can send it there, buy BTC, and send the BTC anywhere you want.

I'm waiting on my $5 now, and will keep the xrp since I joined WorldCommunityGrid and will see how it does

How to i link my new bitstamp account to my ripple account?

Yeah I'm still a little confused. Are you saying we need a bitstamp address?

Hi everyone,

I have gone through roughly $300 USD so far. Most accounts have still yet to be completely setup. Everyone: remember to setup trust!

It is vital that you read the trust note on the first post. I have been unable to send to the majority of addresses so far, as are still finishing the setup of their wallets. Note: if your wallet is not yet active, I am also sending activation XRP to save time. After your wallet is active, you must then setup trust.

TRUST BITSTAMP, NOT ME!

I am creating an ordered list of everyone requesting the offered $5, and trying to everyone time to straighten out their wallet setup and setting up trust. Thanks for your patience!

Thanks!

I seted trust is Bitstamp but not receive money Sad

Could you like send it to me Smiley

From what I understand here ( https://support.ripplelabs.com/hc/en-us/articles/200916587-Understanding-trust-lines)  is he isn't giving you any money.

But saying he will and can re-nig on it if he wants.

any I wrong?

You misunderstand. Check out this video: http://vimeo.com/63784865

It gives a solid overview of the system.

I am giving out USD issued by Bitstamp.

Bitstamp acts as a gateway, storing funds (fiat/BTC), and issues signed IOUs representing that value for use on the Ripple network. No trust of me is required. Its a pretty powerful and elegant system.

I try to convert the 5 USD to withdraw it from him and i get

Sorry! Cannot convert 5 USD - US Dollar. Please make sure your account has enough funds, and a trust line to a USD - US Dollar gateway.

What am I doing wrong?

You need to set up your processor gateway. Do you havean account at one, like did you create an account at one like Bitstamp.net?

You aren't extending him trust...you are extending it to bitstamp, which is a reputable company, so he can transfer from bitstamp to you. Since the address he posted was Bitstamp address, that I had previously set up, and it's the same.

Trust granted to BitStamp. To the poster who said it smells like a scam, it isn't. Bitstamp is trustworthy. You can always go in and reduce the trust to 0 if it makes you comfortable later.

You're right, you said seemed. I apologize. Go to advanced, and Trust. You can uncheck the box to allow rippling, and set the amount to zero...of course you'll have to change it again to sell to bitstamp and cash it out I believe. It's been a long time
I didn't mean to imply it was a scam, I said it SEEMS like a scam. I trusted him..got the 5 bucks, but how do i untrust and withdraw or touch the 5$.

I trusted rvYAfWj5gh67oV6fW32ZzP3Aw4Eubs59B is that bitstamp..if not how do you trust bitstamp
