For one thing theirs ABSOLUTELY DOES NOT have more Mh/s
and for another the Modminer Quad is TWICE AS EFFICIENT as the BFL Bitforce Single!
You better Look Again:
ModMinerQuad: 840+Mh/s @ 40watts
BFL BitForce Single: 832Mh/s @ 80 watts
(from http://www.butterflylabs.com/products/)
twice the energy efficiency means twice the profits.
The product they are giving away uses twice the electrical usage as the ModMiner Quad, and our prize ships via USPS Express Overnight. You will have it on your doorstep 1 day after the competition ends. Good luck waiting for your BFL Single, aren't people who purchased them still waiting weeks for them to be delivered?
You are comparing the BitForce "SC" Single (Which is a currently unreleased ASIC Product) to the 840Mh/s ModMiner FPGA.
BFL's FPGA, the BitForce Single has 832Mh/s @ 80 watts
ModMiner FPGA is 840Mh/s @ 40 watts
For the record:
The bASIC 54Gh/s ASIC device is $19.81 per Ghash while the BitForce 'SC' Single 60Ghs ASIC is $21.65 per Ghash.
There IS a difference between FPGA and ASIC.
Edited twice to clarify what BFL device I was talking about. I think it is quite confusing their FPGA and ASIC have almost the same name.
