This process has been gradual to the extent that more people is deciding to adopt this altcoin and the available information about the bitcoin ecosystem has become more accessible. So it is just a matter of time to see more prestigious firms accepting bitcoin, which will be helpful to improve the bitcoin reputation.
Some idea :
1. Stop scamming people with bitcoin.
2. Stop using/promote illegal service.
3. Spread the fact that bitcoin isn't criminal money.
4. IF YOU'RE CRAZY, maybe you should encourage people to use another cryptocurrency as criminal tool
Also, i think change bitcoin name won't fix anything unless bitcoin is dead because the name was changed.
You are suggesting some pretty impossible solution here. We all now that there may be some scoundrels that wil do some disturbing things.1. Stop scamming people with bitcoin.

And nothing is gonna change that fact. There is a lot of positive activity on the Internet but there is also Dark Web.
People need to accept that and stop trying to invent impossible answers.
I think the charity Works are great, I mean there was a dude who got charity bitcoin help from people in this forum and on reddit and with the Money he got he prepared food for homeless and gave it out to people in need.
Things like that and with some PR work and publishing on main media agencies that would make the name a lot better. “Anon charity Works” is a great way to Show people that a person who is into bitcoin doesn’t care if their name is on the paper while they give to charity. That's a good characteristic that would be praised by people who read the news.

I think you just want to clear bitcoin name from using it to an illegal activity, well in my opinion there is no need to do it you don't need to change bitcoin name, as far as we know even fiat can use in illegal activity, even Fiat can use to scam other people, we just need to be careful how we use it,
If people thinks about bitcoin as something that is affiliated with crimes, changing bitcoin's name is not the solution as bitcoin also already made it's debut. Our goal for now is actually to make people think differently about bitcoin.

Well i got your point, but why to try to change it? Before bitcoin fiat were used to the same purposes, the good ones and the bad ones, as scam, hyips, people are greedy and stupid, they wanna make easy money without any effort, soo bitcoin isnt difference at the moment all projects that worked with fiat are working with bitcoin. People who have bitcoin should be smarter, or atleast know what kind of investment they are doing, supporting those projects.
Yeah name change will not make any difference in scams or illegal activities however that activities will be remain same only. Name may show just in different ways only not for different purposes.

I don't think that changing the name will do more good than it could cause damage. This name is already known and recognized. but a new name will only raise further suspicion. Indeed, why would a company need a new name?
Agree, because I think bitcoin name alone is not too well known, and is still in the process of becoming famous. And if the name is changed I think there will be any perception by the people who will be using bitcoin, even more new names will have to start all over again. And I think this will not happen, but if it happens we have to be ready to accept it. thank you
Besides that, changing name won't actually change anything (pun intended). Will the new name somehow prevent scammers and fraudsters of all sorts and types from their nefarious activities? I think that the answer is the obvious "no". They simply don't give a fuck about Bitcoin's name or its name change, and that says it all.

the main point is not just changing the name because it'll only give bitcoin a little bit affect but also changing bitcoin's image which now already been marked as a bad thing for few people,we should doing good action so bitcoin will have good images in the future,just like what people's mentioned in the first page,your action affect bitcoin

I think his statement is not enough. law enforcement agency arrested those people who engage illegal things that their payment is thru bitcoin. I dont remember any country that arresting people who is using bitcoin but instead it is illegal to them and prohibited to use it or something they block it.
i dont think so that the name of boitcoin will be change i am not in favour of changing its name, i think there is nothing wrong in the name of bitcoin and it really suit it, therefore i will never vote for changing its name.

Have you tried to add some bitcoin fan page in facebook and twitter and some other groups? They are there. Scammers and more illegal stuffs. So how can we stop them? I dont really know too. Even if you give some advice to those who want to invest it or make a bad reputation to that page or group they will still come back just changing the name a little bit. I dont know how can this be stopped and I dont want bitcoin to be controlled also. There is this kind of conflict that is happening in me. This things can be stopped through control but that can never be done.
