Not a fan of GLD because the first 200 blocks were worth 10k each, seeing as the difficulty was low, the only way to get those blocks was to have a very high hash rate (like 10 Mh/s). WDC also had this problem, but since it didn't start with ridiculous block rewards I think it is better.
True but a lot of people who got those have been spreading the wealth in order to support GLDCoins. I'd rather have 1k worth $1 each than 1,000,000 worth $0.0001 each. Claim some free GLDCoins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=209567.new#new
