GlobalBoost® Accepted Here Buttons.  Pretty Nice!!

these are pretty nice! I think we should have "Globalboost Payment Gateway" as Bruce has mentioned adding more currencies to the gateway  Cool

In theory, CPU only is ideal.
No idea how anyone could come to those conclusions. Most consumers are forced into buying way more powerful CPUs than they need and it's still not enough to mine effectively.
MAGI I believe has done very well with CPU only.
Read carefully the thread. It is clear someone has a very extensive knowledge of M7Mv2 algo.
I would like us to have GPU miner and see how much it makes a difference.  I believe that if a GPU will allow others to participate and bring more innovation to this community.   Grin
Quoted for emphasis! CPU mining is extremely elitist as far as I'm concerned. Seriously, some of my friends are still running Athlon XP K10, I know people still running P4. When those computers will worn out, I will tell them to update to Kabini or some other 30 bucks CPU.

I cannot really thank enough WigitGetIt for pointing out why multiple options should be available.

do you have any proof that the majority of this coin have been mined by infected computers and not by hard workers miners ?

The BSTY, unlike the Bitcoin, litecoin, Dogecoin and monero doesn't have any public report that support your claim.

No proof at all. Someone from Altpooler or any pool that has had the bot-nets connect could easily clear it up. I highly suspect they would confirm my suspicions if they had an incentive to confirm. I'd give them huge kudos if they'd confirm it despite the fact they are/were profiting from it.

You can also see them dump their coins daily on Bittrex. They are willing to dump to buy prices that are considerably lower than sell prices. I know because I routinely buy their dumps and sell them at a considerably higher price.

It's still easy to spot these behaviors with BSTY because it hasn't been widely adopted yet.

I really like cpu only, but we want more participation from people.  I am not sure how much GPU will have over CPU as the resistance baked into the code is very good.

There is a benchmark about this on the openwall website. yescrypt is based on Bcrypt and Scrypt. The GPU resistant feature comes from the Bcrypt

http://openwall.info/wiki/john/GPU/bcrypt

in theory we should get about the same result with yescrypt

In theory, CPU only is ideal. Unfortunately, CPU only coins always seem to attract bot-nets. (Haven't the majority of BSTY been mined by bot-nets on altpooler?)

we don't know who are the big miners, but I have been able to mine and get BSTY on my laptop without problems. But if me, you or someone else is not mining then, anyone can comes and get the coins. with this low difficulty any medium to big size company can come and use some of theirs servers to mine some BSTY and not necessary they are bot-nets. Altpooler has been one of our first bigger supporters, one of the most stable mining pool, I think they deserve to have such amount of miners.

I think most people are unwilling to invest in or support coins that are primarily secured and mined by what is likely Russians or Chinese mining on infected computers.

MAGI I believe has done very well with CPU only.  CPU coins can attract bot-nets, but yescrypt has some resistance built in for that.  There is no way for us really to know who owns most of the coin and how they were mined.

Believe me a yescrypt gpu miner will just kill the money... look what happened to memorycoin... if BSTY is not very strong on market; it is all because of marketing problems... I just bring 10+ people in a day to use the money with a very tiny marketing...

I don't know about memorycoin.  I just know that we need to get more people involved and everyone being able to participate in mining is a sure fire way to do that.

I agree marketing could be better and I need to do a better job.  Maybe we can work together to get some great marketing out there?

I am going to donate 50k BSTY to the dev address YK295mLHA5pR1VTUy6o6yF16VDA8ZsVVyu for a yescrypt GPU Miner.  In my opinion we will need a GPU miner in order to get more people involved, as far as mining.  This should bring more people to the community and help drive development.  I would like people to donate, what they, can to help this project Moon.  Consider the above address the main dev donation address.  Please use the link below to verify the coins sent.
