What would the shops need, or what assurances do you think they would want, to adopt/accept Dopecoin?

They'd need assurances that people will use it and next to zero people would. It's completely redundant as a coin.

Did you already find a place to stay?
www.9flats.com lists some places in Amsterdam and it seems they're accepting Bitcoin.
